Plot:

The film is starring Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, Meryl Streep, Ben Whishaw, Brendan Gleeson, Romola Garai, Anne-Marie Duff, and Samuel West.

The release date of Suffragette is set to January 16, 2015 (UK release).

Jurassic Park 4 (officially titled Jurassic World) is set to bring us back to Isla Nublar, the tropical island infested with dinosaurs near Costa Rica. Some corporate group has indeed been rebuilding the theme park and it’s now called Jurassic World!

We’ve been sent this first official picture of The Driftless Area, the upcoming drama movie directed by Zachary Sluser based on a script he co-wrote with Tom Drury, it features Zooey Deschanel and Anton Yelchin:

Besides Zooey Deschanel and Anton Yelchin, the cast also includes Aubrey Plaza, Alia Shawkat, Ciaran hinds, John Hawkes, and Frank Langella.

The film should be released sometime in 2015.

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role as Conan (he played the role of the barbarian warrior in the 1982 movie “Conan the Barbarian”)! He will play an older Conan in King Conan (aka The Legend of Conan).

Gareth Edwards’ remake of Godzilla is performing more than well in theaters worldwide. So it’s not surprising to hear that Legendary and Warner Bros are already thinking about a sequel. Yep, according to Deadline they’re going to develop Godzilla 2!

But what’s next for Godzilla? Who’s going to be its next enemy? Some other giant monster? Or maybe giant robots similar to those from Guillermo del Toro’s “Pacific Rim”?

I kind of welcome the sequel, but they better come with something at least a bit different from the first. We don’t want a rehash, do we? And please don’t serve us the giant moth Mothra! And let’s hope that Director Gareth Edwards will helm the sequel because he did a hell of a great job with his remake.

The third installment in the new Star Trek franchise will not be directed by J.J. Abrams (I guess he’s too busy or prefer to focus on new projects)… Roberto Orci is indeed taking over the director’s seat.

For those who don’t know him, he’s a successful scriptwriter who co-wrote the first two Star Trek movies (and a few Transformers movies). Unfortunately he’s got no real experience as director of a feature film. But hey he’s no newcomer to the franchise, and anyway, I bet he will get as much help as he needs from J.J. Abrams and other consultants. So the third installment should be faithful to the spirit and feel of the rebooted franchise.

Just a news update regarding the Splinter Cell movie adaptation that’s been in development since quite a while. From what I read here and there the project is getting some new steam and is moving forward: Director Doug Liman (who helmed The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow) is attached to the project, and Actor Tom Hardy (who played the role of Bane in The Dark Knight Rises) will have the lead role.

The script was written by Eric Warren Singer (who co-wrote the script of American Hustle). unfortunately there’s no official plot synopsis yet.

Splinter Cell Trailer

For those who don’t know Splinter Cell, it’s a series of 3D action-adventure video games from Ubisoft. The game focuses on Sam Fisher, a highly trained secret agent.

The film is listed for a release in 2015 by IMDb, but since they haven’t started filming yet, don’t get your hopes up too high yet.
