But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived.
When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Naomi Watts), a neighbor who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will’s dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.”

Great Gatsby Movie
Director Baz Luhrmann is planning a new 3D adaptation of the Great Gatsby, the popular 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The film will be starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Carrey Mulligan. Here’s a picture of Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan (it was taken during a reading of the draft script):
“Nick Carraway, a young man from Minnesota, moves to New York in the summer of 1922 to learn about the bond business. He rents a house in the West Egg district of Long Island, a wealthy but unfashionable area populated by the new rich, a group who have made their fortunes too recently to have established social connections and who are prone to garish displays of wealth. Nick’s next-door neighbor in West Egg is a mysterious man named Jay Gatsby, who lives in a gigantic Gothic mansion and throws extravagant parties every Saturday night.”
Filming of the Great Gatsby movie is set to start in August 2011 in New South Wales, Australia.

Iron Man 3 directed by Shane Black
You probably know that Jon Favreau had to leave the Iron Man franchise. So Marvel was looking for a new director. Well sounds like Shane Black got the job! He previously directed the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but is first and foremost a writer (Lethal Weapon 3 and Lethal Weapon 4) .
As long as Marvel keeps a close eye on the production and if Robert Downey Jr reprises his role as Tony Stark aka Iron Man, I guess Shane Black will be fine as director of Iron Man 3. What do you think?

Contagion Movie
Contagion is an upcoming thriller movie directed by Steven Soderbergh. The story revolves around a worldwide disease outbreak. The film can boast an impressive cast: Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kate Winslet. The film will be released on October 21, 2011.
Actor Jude Law has been spotted on the set of Contagion:
“An action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.”
I doubt that cheap looking biohazard suit would protect him…

Captain America 2 Movie
Sounds like Marvel is already planning a movie sequel to Captain America the First Avenger: according to Latino Review the studio has indeed hired Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus (who penned the screenplay of the first film) to write a script for Captain America 2. The first film hasn’t hit theaters yet, but judging from the Superbowl trailer, Joe Johnston’s Captain America is going to be a great movie. Watch here below if you haven’t seen it yet:
I’m quite glad to hear about Captain America 2. Don’t know if Joe Johnston will helm the sequel (if he was to become too greedy following the obvious success of the first film, Marvel would not hesitate to find a new director…), but from what I heard Chris Evans is kind of locked by contract for a few more Captain America movies besides the Avengers film. So he will quite probably reprise his role in Captain America 2.
Anyway, more information about the movie Captain America 2 as soon as details emerge!

The Host Movie
Director Susanna White, who helmed Nanny McPhee Returns, has been hired to direct the movie adaptation of The Host, the romantic sci-fi novel written by Stephenie Meyer (who also wrote the Twilight series). The film will be based on a script by Andrew Niccol. The cast hasn’t been announced yet.
Plot:
“Earth has been overrun by an alien species called Souls, which invade human bodies and erase personalities. One soul, the Wanderer, is fused with a dying human named Melanie Stryder, in an attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth.”
What actress do you think should play the title role as Wanda/Melanie Stryder?
