Scriptwriter Rich Wilkes, who wrote the script of XXX, has been hired by Marvel to pen the script of a live-action Iron Fist movie.

Dimension Films are happy with the first results of Piranha 3D in theaters and have announced that a sequel is in the works.

According to Director Alexandre Aja the sequel to Piranha 3D could head to Thailand:

“We had many ideas. There is the Full Moon Party in Thailand, a huge event with like 200,000 young people from all around the world taking mushrooms and partying on the beach.”

As long as I know there are no piranhas in Thailand… Besides the Full Moon party is taking place on Koh Phangan, an island in middle of the sea: kind of strange location for the sequel to Piranha 3D, since piranhas are freshwater fish (so they couldn’t survive long in seawater)… Well, maybe they will introduce some imported genetically modified piranhas. Anyway, as long as there are as many pretty girls as in the first film, you can sign me up for the movie Piranha 2.

Update – January 1, 2016 – Walt Disney Company chairman and CEO Bob Iger told Bloomberg that an Indiana Jones 5 movie is definitely coming. That said I doubt it will star Shia Labeouf… It will either focus on Harrison Ford or on some new actor.

Director John Carpenter has been working on The Ward, an upcoming horror thriller movie about a girl in a 1960s mental institution haunted by a malevolent ghost. Actress Amber Heard got the lead role. There’s no official release date yet.

Plot:

Will Ferrell is going to be dumped by his wife in Everything Must Go, an upcoming drama comedy movie directed by Dan Rush. Here below the first official pictures of Everything Must Go:

Will Ferrell looks desperately lost on those pictures of Everything Must Go! Is he trying to redeem himself for his abuse of slapstick humor?

Besides Will Ferrell the movie Everything Must Go is also starring Rebecca Hall, Laura Dern, and Michael Pena. The film should be released this year. It will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival 2010.

We already knew that Sylvester Stallone was considering a movie sequel to the Expendables even before the film was released. Well, now that the Expendables movie is performing quite well in theaters, it sounds like it’s a done deal. He’s already revealing a few details about the Expendables 2:

The sequel to The Expendables is plotted out in my mind’s eye. I believe this group has to continue to evolve; it just can’t become the same people. So how do you get new people introduced into the group, and how do you have some of the other people leaving? Those are the challenges.
