Mark Millar has been talking about the movie sequel Kick-Ass 2:
Kick-Ass 2 Movie Red Mist as the villain
The movie Kick-Ass 2 will be the rise of a super villain then! I completely dig this idea!
:)
The release of Wall Street 2, aka Wall Street Money Never Sleeps, has unfortunately been postponed to September 24, 2010.
No real clue why they’re delaying the release…
:/
You may get ready for a new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, and this time in 3D! 20th Fox Fox announced indeed that they’re greenlighting a new sequel that will be released on December 16, 2011.
Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 in 3D
I wonder what songs we’re going to hear in Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D, any idea or suggestion?
:)

Here’s the official synopsis of Thor, the upcoming superhero movie directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Jaimie Alexander:
Plot:
“Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, ‘Thor’, which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.”
The movie Thor will be released on May 6, 2011.

We thought Dom Toretto would escape to Europe or japan. well it won’t be so: the movie Fast 5, aka Fast and Furious 5, will take place in Brazil instead! It was announced by Vin Diesel on Facebook:
The team is on their way to Brazil this evening, to scout, and to see what selection of cars there are.”
The Green Lantern shall light upon us in 3D! Warner Bros has indeed officially decided to jump into the 3D bandwagon. And that’s a movie we can’t complain about: a movie like Green Lantern will be awesome in 3D!
Just think how amazing it’s going to be to fly with the Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) or watching him using the power of his ring to create those green spectral things
I’m not a staunch advocate of 3D in general (because I kind of hate those glasses), but for once I’m really glad to hear about a movie going 3D. Can’t wait to watch the Green Lantern!
:)
It’s been officially confirmed by the CW Network: we may expect Smallville Season 10 for Fall 2010! They even promise that this new tenth season of Smallville will be a momentous season! I’m so glad to hear that: I definitely dig the ninth season and would have been sad to see Smallville coming to an end… And the new plot development totally justifies a new season.
Update – Here’s the first trailer of Smallville Season 10:
Smallville Season 10 Fall 2010
As a result I guess the final episode of Season 9 will be a cliffhanger episode!
Anyway, Fall 2010 isn’t that far away: we won’t have to wait too long to watch Smallville Season 10.
:)
We’ve got our hands on a new picture of the Last Airbender, the upcoming epic fantasy movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan:
Director Zack Snyder has been working on Legend of the Guardians, an upcoming animated movie based on the first three book (The Capture, The Journey, and The Rescue) of the popular children’s fantasy book series Guardians of Ga’Hoole. The story revolves around Soren, a young barn owl. The release date of Legend of the Guardians is set for September 24, 2010.

I’ll wait for the movie trailer of Legend of the Guardians, which will be shown in front of Alice in Wonderland, to have a better understanding of what to expect… Those pictures and the plot aren’t enough for me to get excited about the movie Legend of the Guardians… Is it a movie for kids? Or will it have a broader appeal? I guess if Zack Snyder (who once brought us 300) is directing the film, it will be interesting, but let’s wait for the trailer first.

The cast of Death Race 2 has been announced. The film is starring Luke Goss in the lead role as Frankenstein, Ving Rhames, Sean Bean, Danny Trejo, Frederick Koehler and Lauren Cohan. Director Roel Reine will helm the project based on a script by Tony Giglio. Death Race 2 will actually be a prequel to the Death Race movie starring Jason Statham.
Universal also gave away the synopsis of Death Race 2:
Plot:
“‘Death Race 2’ takes place in the very near future, as the United States economy begins to decline and violent crime starts to spiral out of control. To contain the growing criminal population, a vast network of for-profit, private prisons springs up, creating a lawless subculture ruled by gangs, cold-blooded killers and sociopaths. The worst of these prisons is Terminal Island.
Convicted cop-killer Carl Lucas (Luke Goss) arrives on the Island to serve his life sentence just as ruthlessly ambitious television personality September Jones launches the ultimate reality show, Death Race. A brutal prison yard demolition derby that pits prisoners against each other in steel reinforced, heavily armed vehicles, Death Race offers the winner the ultimate prize: freedom if he can survive to enjoy it. When Lucas signs up to be a driver, the stage is set for the birth of a legendary racer.”
Unfortunately Death Race 2 won’t have a theatrical release… It will be released directly to DVD, so I’m a bit worried regarding the quality of the movie because I guess the budget of Death Race 2 will be limited…
