Iron Man 3 Movie

We’re still just waiting for the first official trailer of Iron man 2, but Paramount is already working on a possible Iron Man 3 movie! It’s not that crazy because we all know that IM2 is going to be a huge success. Here’s Director Jon Favreau confirming the movie Iron Man 3:
“There’s an Iron Man 3. Here’s how I know. When they make the option deals, they include Iron Man 3. So I know they’re planning on 3. Whether that would be before or after Avengers, they’ve announced that Avengers is next but they pushed back The Avengers once, which I thought was encouraging.”

The Mandarin is the likely villain of Iron Man 3 and it would actually make sense. Actor Faran Tahir, who played Raza, the mysterious leader of the 10 Rings in the first Iron Man movie, talked about the Mandarin:
“Jon Favreau and the producers are not stupid. They’re also listening in on all of this and wanting to get the pulse of where the audience is. But at some point, they want to introduce Mandarin into the storyline and my character, like Mandarin, was the leader of the Ten Rings. We’re leaving it open because, partly, it makes good business sense for us to leave a little bit of uncertainty for people to speculate on.

He has known for a long time where he wants to take it and I don’t want to speak for him, but my feeling is that the second movie didn’t want to just follow a singular storyline. They wanted to expand the characters to show that it’s not a linear saga like Lord of the Rings. There’s a linkage somewhere in there, but the big idea is to do at least one more Iron Man movie and then go into The Avengers.”

I would rather see Iron Man battling against Hulk than against an Arab Mandarin (sorry for Tahir who’s still a great actor, but the Mandarin should be Chinese like in the comic book!), but I think they’re keeping the green beast for the Avengers movie…
Anyway, let’s hope that the movie Iron man 3 will be released between Thor and the Avengers!

Dreamworks is producing a new Shrek movie. This fourth, and mostly final, Shrek movie is titled Shrek Forever After, aka Shrek 4. It will be released on May 21, 2010. The film will be in 3D.

The pictures feature Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) talking to Xenophilius Lovegood (played by Rhys Ifans) who is Luna Lovegood’s father and the editor-in-chief of The Quibbler, a magazine that often publishes stories about wild conspiracy theories or research on seemingly non-existent creatures. Underworld IV Script

Scriptwriter John Hlavin, who worked on the TV Series The Shield, has been hired to pen the screenplay of Underworld 4. Here’s what he said about the plot of Underworld 4:
“I can tell you it’s not a prequel. It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don’t want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements.”

So if it’s neither a prequel nor a reboot, then we may expect a normal sequel that pick up where the story left in Underworld 2. Anyway, more plot details of Underworld will probably leak online sooner or later.

Why creating a blood substitute would be so hard? I mean if the world population has been transformed into vampires, then it would make more sense to devote all available resources to develop a substitute… Immortality is a rather interesting side-effect of the vampire virus after all!

We finally know when the final of Lost is going to premiere: the premiere of Lost Season 6 will be on on Tuesday, February 2 2010! We still haven’t really figured out what’s going to happen in Lost Season 6, which is quite a feat knowing all the spoilers that leaked online.
The final episode of Lost Season 6 will air on May 25, 2010. Hard to think about one’s TV life following the end of Lost!

Burlesque is an upcoming drama movie directed by Stev Antin and starring Christina Aguilera, Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, Alan Cumming, Julianne Hough, Dita Von Teese, and Cam Gigandet. The film is set for a release on November 24, 2010.

The two circled items are most likely Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup and Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem. Harry Potter needs to retrieve and destroy Lord Voldemort’s Horcruxes to get rid of the evil half blood prince!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow will be a two-part movie.

Director Ridley Scott wants to make a movie based on Monopoly the famous board game. In an interview given to the LA Times (here), Producer Frank Beddor gave away quite a few details about his Monopoly movie:
“I created a comedic, lovable loser who lives in Manhattan and works at a real estate company and he’s not very good at his job but he’s great at playing Monopoly. And the world record for playing is 70 straight days – over 1,600 hours – and he wanted to try to convince his friends to help him break that world record. They think he is crazy. They kid him about this girl and they’re playing the game and there’s this big fight. And he’s holding a Chance card and after they’ve left he says, ‘Damn, I wanted to use that Chance card,’ and he throws it down. He falls asleep and then he wakes up in the morning and he’s holding the Chance card, and he thinks, ‘That’s odd.
He’s all groggy and he goes down to buy some coffee and he reaches into his pocket and all he has is Monopoly money. All this Monopoly money pours out. He’s confused and embarrassed and the girl reaches across the counter and says, ‘That’s OK.’ And she gives him change in Monopoly money. He walks outside and he’s in this very vibrant place, Monopoly City, and he’s just come out of a Chance Shop. As it goes on, he takes on the evil Parker Brothers in the game of Monopoly. He has to defeat them. It tries to incorporate all the iconic imageries — a sports car pulls up, there’s someone on a horse, someone pushing a wheelbarrow — and rich Uncle Pennybags, you’re going to see him as the maître d’ at the restaurant and he’s the buggy driver and the local eccentric and the doorman at the opera. There’s all these sight gags.”
