I was thinking that Wolverine and Star Trek would compete head on. But now I think that Star Trek is going to eclipse Wolverine as soon as J.J. Abram’s movie is released (on May 8, 2009). Wolverine is gorgeous but Star Trek is just divinely awesome!

Director Christian Alvart’s upcoming movie release is Pandorum in September 2009. But we will also hear about him for an earlier movie he directed: Case 39. It’s an horror movie starring Renee Zellweger and Jodelle Ferland.

The plot of Case 39 does bring anything really new. But it’s surprising to see Renee Zellweger acting in this horror movie. So I must admit that I want to see how Case 39 plays out.

Strangely there is no word yet about the release date of Case 39. But Paramount is in charge of distributing it, so sooner or later Case 39 will hit theaters.

The movie “All The Boys Love Mandy Lane’ finally gets a release date in the USA. Well, actually it’s but a limited release… which is quite surprising when you think about the quality of this movie: it’s a fresh take on the teen slasher genre!

Anyway, here’s Mandy Lane release date: it’s on July 17, 2009.

Plot:
“Sixteen-year-old Mandy Lane (Amber Heard) is an unattainable girl, everyone’s object of desire. In an attempt to advance her position in the social pecking order, the gorgeous track star shuns her old friend Emmet, an awkward outsider. The Catholic hierarchy does not really stand Dan Brown’s work and is quite pissed off by Director Ron Howard’s movie adaptation. Ron Howard can but be glad: that’s free promotion for his new movie Angels and Demons starring Tom Hanks. But he tries to play down the controversy, fearing that rank-and-file Catholic believers would start to listen to their narrow-minded priest:

“I believe Angels & Demons treats the Church with respect — even a degree of reverence — for its traditions and beliefs.”

Not sure he’s sincere but I don’t give a dam (my grandmother do though, and will boycott Angels and Demons…): I just know that Angels and Demons looks like an entertaining movie!
