Saw 5 Red Band Preview Clip

Do you know where Jigsaw gets his mask? Is it home made? or did he buy it in a local store? The Saw movies are so full of details: no wonder it has to spawn into many opus for the plot to fully realize.

After this Saw 5 movie, there will be Saw 6 and Saw 7. But I doubt this will be the end, either Jigsaw still has a few long-term tricks or he’s be preparing a heir to his bloody throne!

The Spirit A Witty Movie By Director Frank Miller

Director Frank Miller is giving a rather special tongue-in-cheek tone to the upcoming movie adaptation of Will Eisner’s The Spirit.  To understand what I mean Just watch the bootleg preview clip of the Spirit at Io9 (here or click the picture below). It shows a bizarre fight between the Spirit (Gabriel Macht) and his nemesis the Octopus (played by Samuel L. Jackson).

The Spirit Movie

Click on the picture above to wacth the clip at Io9.

I love the performance of Samuel L. Jackson who is really incredible int his scene: how funny he is! He must be somehow related to Bugs Bunny! I prefer to see him in such a role than in the role of a racist cop as in Lakeview Terrace.

IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS

Step through the mirror!

I wonder what Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will look like in the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Terry Gilliam is used to make strange movies, I hope the public won’t be fazed at hearing about the plot trick…

Quantum of Solace Full Length Trailer

Quantum of Solace

Here below the full length trailer of Quantum of Solace with Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond aka Agent 007:

Quantum of Solace Official Trailer

Is Quantum of Solace still a James Bond movie? Does not feel like… It’s for sure a spy / action movie, but how does this movie differ from others, like the Bourne movies for example?

Also the fact that Daniel Craig looks like Vladimir Putin makes me really regret the time of Pierce Brosnan.

Amyway, Quantum of Solace will be entertaining, even if I doubt it will blow us away judging from this QoS trailer.

The Spirit Official Trailer

This trailer of the spirit is mesmerizing! Everything catch my attention and I just fall into the phantasmagorical world of Will Eisner’s The Spirit, with sexy women full of lust at every corner. I think the soundtrack of the Spirit trailer accounts for a lot in my dreamlike impression.

Pineapple Express Paper Planes M.I.A Trailer

Pineapple ExpressThe official PG-13 trailer of Pineapple Express is available at:

Pineapple Express Official Trailer

I love the song used for this Pineapple Express trailer. It is Paper Plane by M.I.A. Let’s listen to it again:

M.I.A. is the daughter of a Tamil terrorist. She fled from Sri Lanka to England with her mother in the late 1980’s.

If only those stupid Tamil activists were using songs and words instead of weapons… From what I heard the regular army is finally near of crushing them once for all after years of fighting.

Just saw the movie Slumdog Millionaire, and the song Paper Planes by MIA was nicely featured in the film.

Wall-E Burn-E

Burn-EBurn-E is a Pixar short film that should be attached to the movie Wall-E on the DVD release. Disney Pixar have been kind of secretive about Burn-E: not that much has been unveiled by them so far.

But a / Film reader asserts that Burn-E can be spotted in some Wall-E footage previously released by Disney Pixar.

Burn-E outside of the Axiom - Wall-E MovieAccording to him Burn-E would be a welding robot who gets stuck out of the spaceship Axiom while working outside when a door suddenly locks. The robot then bangs his fist against the door out of frustration.

I think that’s indeed Burn-E: quite a good name for a welder! Besides if you check the robot clip by BuyNLarge, the welding robot is ostensibly missing. And the names of the robots do match their functions:

So I’m even quite sure they got it right and the welder robot in the Wall-E feature film is the mysterious Burn-E.

Get ready for Wall-E !

Update as of November 7, 2008:

The DVD of Wall-E will be released quite soon and the Pixar Blog had an early look at it.

It is now confirmed that Burn-E is indeed the welder robot from the video scene above

Here below some new pictures of Burn-E, the star of this new Pixar short film:

Burn-E is working outside the Starliner.

Burn-E is a robot welder.

Burn-E by Pixar

The Burn-E movie is said to run 7:35 long: more than enough for Pixar to amaze us once more time!

Update as of November 12, 2008:

Guess what: the short film Burn-E by Disney Pixar has leaked online before the official release of the Wall-E DVD. To watch the full Burn-E movie, click below:

–> Watch Burn-E Online

Burn-E is worth watching! I still prefer wall-E though: Burn-E is cute but not as much as Wall-E!
