Stargate Universe Season 2 Episode 8 – Malice

Ginn, using the stones to trade bodies with Dr. Amanda Perry, continues to fill in Homeworld Command of an impending Lucian Alliance attack. Suspecting she’s giving up valuable information Simeon manufactures an escape by killing his guard then making his way to silence Ginn.
Taking Park hostage, Simeon forces Volker to dial a planet and escapes off the ship. When Rush finds Ginn’s lifeless body, knowing what it means for Dr. Perry, he gates to the planet on a mission of vengeance. But Homeworld Command, believing Simeon has information that could prevent an attack on Earth orders he be captured alive. Col. Young must send Lt. Scott and Msgt. Here’s two sneak previews of the next episode of Stargate Universe, SGU S2.7 The Greater Good:

And here’s a clip of The Greater Good:
Stargate Universe – S2.07 – The Greater Good
SGU S2x07 The Greater Good
Rush and Young investigate an abandoned alien craft which is just outside the Destiny. While they do this, the crew onboard the ship find the bridge and discover that Rush is responsible for the countdown clock not activating when the ship emerges from FTL.
The premise of this new episode of Stargate Universe sounds promising and could lead to more action in the next episodes.
SGU S2x02 Aftermath
When the crew’s food and water situation become critical, Rush has no choice but to override the ship’s controls and take them to a planet locked out of the navigation system. Meanwhile, Young and Wray disagree on whether to trust their Lucian prisoners.
If they were all really working together, they’d be back on Earth already!
“The Destiny continues its journey through the Universe, while its crew suffers from a lack of supplies and no knowledge of its final destination. Struggling to control the ships systems, tempers and personalities of the crew clash. Facing uncharted space and enemies who would take the ship by force, the Destiny crew persevere in their struggle to stay alive and find a way home. SGU stars Robert Carlyle, Jamil Walker Smith, Brian J. Smith, David Blue, Louis Ferreira, Elyse Levesque and Alaina Huffman. Robert C. Cooper and Brad Wright are the executive producers.”
Stargate Universe Season 2 will premiere on September 28 on SyFy.
Comments Off on Stargate Universe Season 2 Comic Con Trailer
There’s a new comic-con trailer of Stargate Universe Season 2 that SyFy just released. This trailer of SGU season 2 is a mash-up of some old footage from the first season and new footage from the upcoming season:
And yep, you didn’t dream, you just saw Actor Robert Knepper (from Prison Break)! He’s going to play of Simeon who’s a dangerous Lucian Alliance soldier.
Simeon was a seasoned criminal before being recruited by the Alliance. He’s strong and intimidating but more crafty and wiry than big and muscular. Scary in that you’re never sure what he will do. He also holds secrets that are desperately sought after by Earth and those on board Destiny — secrets he would die or worse, kill to protect. He’s an antagonist for several episodes before he finally comes into serious conflict with Robert Carlyle’s character Rush and they are forced to face off.
I wonder how he managed to get on board the spaceship Destiny.
Really can’t wait for Stargate Universe Season 2!
Next week we’ll get to watch part 2 of the finale episode of the first season of Stargate Universe. Don’t expect any closure though because our SGU friends still have a long and perilous journey ahead. And I bet the finale won’t even give us a real break: quite sure it’s going to be a cliffhanger episode… Anyway, here’s an episode list of the first episodes of next season of Stargate Universe:
Stargate Universe Season 2
Starring: Robert Carlyle, Louis Ferreira, Brian J. Smith, Elyse Levesque, David Blue, Alaina Huffman, Jamil Walker Smith, Ming-Na
Release Date: October 10, 2010
“Stargate Universe is about a rather heteroclite team of soldiers and scientist who get trapped aboard the Ancient ship, the Destiny, that was part of an Ancient experiment to seed the galaxies with Stargates millions of years ago but that was prematurely ended by the Ancients’ ascension.
While trying to escape an imminent danger the team activates the ninth and final gate chevron (whose purpose was previously unknown) and get aboard the Destiny. But that’s a one-way trip, without return to Earth… Unable to return to Earth, they must fend for themselves aboard the ship as it takes them to the far reaches of the universe.”
This new Stargate TV series will a bit darker than what we may have been used to with the franchise. But don’t worry: it’s for the best! Because I’m definitely convinced now that this series is the sci-fi weekly fix that we’re all waiting for!
Comments Off on Stargate Universe Comic Con Trailer
The new Comic Con trailer of Stargate Universe is lifting the remaining doubts I may have had about teh new series of the Stragate franchise: Stargate SGU just looks gorgeous! Watch below this new Stargate Universe trailer:
Stargate Universe – Survive
This October, Syfy reinvents the wheel
Don’t really understand why they’re adding a new series in the Stargate franchise… A few more seasons of SG1 and SGA would have been much better. But, can’t really complain, at least I’ll get my Stargate fix again!
Looks like that Russell from Pixar’s UP has been hired in Stargate Universe, the new Stargate TV series that should start to air this Summer. Well not the young Russsell, but a 20-years-old version, just look at the face of this chubby red-shirt boy (David Blue as Eli Wallace):
Stargate Universe is billed as “edgier in tone” than its predecessors, it will follow a team of explorers headed by Dr Nicholas Rush, played by Carlyle, who have to fend for themselves when their hidden base comes under attack.
I do welcome this edgier tone, but I’m not sure they should have chosen this candy music to promote such a sci-fi show…
SGU, Stargate Universe, is the latest addition to the Stargate franchise: the new show will start to air on SyFy this summer. A SGU trailer was shown after the final episode of Battlestar Galactica last Friday:
“Stargate Universe aims to delight veteran fans, but also appeal to newcomers who may not necessarily know the difference between an Alteran and an Asuran. In many ways it is a much more cerebral and mature addition to the franchise. While firmly entrenched in pre-established Stargate mythology, Stargate Universe definitely strikes out in an exciting new direction.”
Stargate Atlantis producer Joseph Mallozzi
I expect Stargate Universe to be a mix of Farscape and BSG set in the realm of Stargate. Could be something explosive, hope they won’t disappoint us!
Are you longing for your weekly Stargate fix? It’s quite hard for me since the end of Stargate Atlantis. Fortunately there is a new Stargate Franchise that will keep alive the Stargate dream. The new series is titled Stargate Universe.
Below, thanks to Tijuana a teaser of Stargate Universe that was shown after the end credits of the last Stargate Atlantis episode:
Stargate Universe is the new Stargate tv series that should start to air on the sci-fi channel in Summer 2009. We may hope three seasons of SGU, and more if the ratings are good enough. The first season will count 20 episodes.
Stargate Atlantis is over (still a few movies before its ultimate end though) but a new series based on the Stargate franchise is being developed. The new show, called Stargate Universe, will start to air on the Sci Fi Channel in Summer 2009. Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper will serve as executive producers and writers.
Stargate Universe is about a rather heteroclite team of soldiers and scientist who get trapped aboard the Ancient ship, the Destiny, that was part of an Ancient experiment to seed the galaxies with Stargates millions of years ago but that was prematurely ended by the Ancients’ ascension.
While trying to escape an imminent danger the team activates the ninth and final gate chevron (whose purpose was previously unknown) and get aboard the Destiny. But that’s a one-way trip, without return to Earth… Unable to return to Earth, they must fend for themselves aboard the ship as it takes them to the far reaches of the universe.
The show will involve more space-based action than SG-1 or Atlantis and we will discover more aliens this time.
Impatient to watch this new series Stargate Universe: I’m fan of SGU even before it’s out!
Created by Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper
Starring Robert Carlyle
Original Channel: Sci Fi Channel
Release Date, Premiere: October 2, 2009
