There are some quite funny movie titles from time to time. That’s the case case with Lesbian Vampire Killers, a UK movie mixing action, comedy, and horror. The film is directed by Phil Claydon and is starring James Corden and Mathew Horne.
Here below the first movie poster of Lesbian Vampire Killers:
Plot:
“Their women having been enslaved by the local pack of lesbian vampires thanks to an ancient curse, the remaining menfolk of a rural Welsh town send two hapless young lads out onto the moors as a sacrifice.” (Source: IMDb)
I doubt such a great poster would be allowed by the MPAA in the USA though: should send their representatives to a European nudist beach!
The movie should be released on March 29, 2009 in the UK. Unfortunately, no US release planned yet. But with such a creative title and such a funny plot we may hope that the movie Lesbian Vampire Killers will hit USA’s shore soon!

Adoration is an upcoming drama movie directed by Atom Egoyan. The film is starring Rachel Blanchard, Scott Speedman, and Devon Bostick. Adoration is slated for a limited release on May 8, 2009.
The film was first shown in May 2008 at the Cannes Film Festival. Adoration won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury and was nominated for the Palme d’Or.
Here below the first official trailer of the movie Adoration:
Plot:
“An adolescent, Simon, reinvents his life on the Internet by recreating his life around two historical figures. His story provokes strong reactions throughout the world. Cyberspace is a forum for victims. But is it a place for redemption?”
The plot sounds a bit too intricate to me, but the soundtrack of the movie, if as well chosen as in this trailer of Adoration, could get me into following the kid trying to learn the truth and discover things.
Director Atom Egoyan seems intrigued by the potential uses and abuses of technology. We may see the teenager having video chat sessions: just hope that Director Erdogan does not abuse of this plot gimmick in the movie Adoration.

Director Tony Gilroy brings us a new spy thriller movie titled Duplicity. The story revolves around two corporate spies with a romantic history who collaborate to carry out a complicated con. The film is starring Clive Owen, Julia Roberts, Tom Wilkinson, and Paul Giamatti. Duplicity is scheduled to be released on March 20, 2009.
Here below the first official Duplicity trailer:

DUPLICTY
Plot:
“Two corporate spies (Owen and Roberts) team up to manipulate a corporate race to corner the market on a medical innovation that will reap huge profits.”
Cast:
– Clive Owen plays a corporate spy for a rival pharmaceutical company;
– Julia Roberts plays a corporate spy for a rival pharmaceutical company;
– Tom Wilkinson plays the CEO of one of the rival companies;
– Paul Giamatti plays the CEO of one of the rival companies.
Trust is a dynamic variable in the world of spies. And it’s even more explosive when love gets in!
The duo Clive Owen / Julia Roberts is rather appealing. And judging from this trailer of Duplicity the movie nicely integrates a comic dimension! Duplicity seems to be a win!

Adventureland is an upcoming comedy / drama movie written and directed by Greg Mottola who once brought us Superbad. The film is starring Ryan Reynolds, Kristen Stewart (from Twilight), Jesse Eisenberg, and Martin Starr. It should be released on March 27, 2009

Plot:
“It’s the summer of 1987 and James Brennan, a recent college graduate is looking for a job. He finds the local amusement park and learns it’s the perfect course to prepare him for the real world.” (Source: Wikipedia)
Summer Jobs give a glimpse of real life to teenagers, that’s a good thing. But well, real life just s**ks sometimes…
By the way Kristen Stewart looks really cute in the movie Adventureland, much more beautiful than in Twilight actually!

Fired Up is an upcoming comedy movie directed by Will Gluck. It is starring the duo Nicholas D’Agosto and Eric Christian Olsen. You may recognize Nicholas D’Agosto: he played the role of West Rosen in the TV series Heroes, the the flying boy who hit on Claire. Fired Up should be released on March 20, 2009.
Here below the red-band trailer of Fired Up :
200 girls: screw football let’s go cheer!
Fired Up
Plot:
“Shawn Colfax (Nicholas D’Agosto) and Nick Brady (Eric Christian Olsen), the stars of the Gerald R. Ford High School football team, are dreading the prospect of another summer at football camp. After Nick hatches a scheme for the two to join their school’s cheerleaders at cheer camp instead, they find themselves awash in a sea of gorgeous young women. The guys are having the time of their lives until Shawn falls for Carly (Sarah Roemer), the beautiful head cheerleader who is very suspicious of their motives. To win Carly over, the boys must come up with some surprising new moves to prove Shawn’s intentions before the all-important cheer competition finals.” (Source: Coming Soon)
Still trying to understand why this Fired Up movie trailer is rated R… To my viewpoint it hardly deserves any red band… The MPAA ratings are so dumb sometimes!
Anyway, the movie Fired Up is no masterpiece, but it could be a good laugh for a few bucks.
