Get him to the Greek is an upcoming comedy movie spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The movie is focusing on the out-of-control British rock star Aldous Snow (Rusell Brand), and Aaron (Jonah Hill), a music-company intern who must accompany Snow to a concert at LA’s Greek Theater. Get him to the Greek, directed by Nick Stoller, will be released on June 11, 2010.
Here’s a first look at Jonah Hill and Russell Brand in the movie Get him to the Greek:
Plot:
“Aaron Greenberg (Jonah Hill) is a driven, idealistic young college graduate who works as an intern at a record company. Aaron is given his big break when he is sent to transport flaky English musician Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to a concert at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater.”
Russell Brand was awesome in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And judging from the pictures above I’m confident he will deliver the same kind of crazy performance in Get him to the Greek!

The Experiment is an upcoming psychological thriller movie directed by Paul Scheuring and starring Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Travis Fimmel, Cam Gigandet, Clifton Collins Jr., and Maggie Grace. It’s a remake of the German movie ‘Das Experiment’. Columbia Pictures will release the Experiment movie sometime in 2010.
Here’s a first look at Adrien Brody in the Experiment:
Plot:
“26 men are chosen to participate in the roles of guards and prisoners in a psychological study to examine how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants. But the experiment ultimately spirals out of control…”
Forest Whitaker is a versatile actor, I can definitely imagine Adrien Brody in such a film, and Cam Gigandet did prove that he can play a freak in Pandorum, so the Experiment should be a remake worth watching!

Two new clips of Dear John have shown up online:
Dear John – In the Rain
Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum look so sweet together, I’d almost forget that they’re actually acting!
;-P
Take a look to the first official poster of Diary of a Wimpy Kid:
I’ll be famous one day, but for now I’m stuck
in middle school with a bunch of morons.
The middle school stereotypes seen in the Diary of a Wimpy kid movie are way exaggerated, but it just makes the movie even more hilarious.

Two preview clips of Cyrus, the upcoming comedy movie starring John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, Marisa Tomei, have been released:
Cyrus – I’m like Shrek
Cyrus – Sounds like Steve Miller
Plot:
“A recently divorced guy meets the woman of his dreams. Then he meets her son.”
The scene with Jonah Hill showing off his DJ skills is kind of weird, but still looks like a movie one can enjoy watching.

Thanks to an artwork displayed on Disney’s official site we may have a first look at Cars 2 aka Cars 2 World Grand Prix, the upcoming movie sequel to Disney Pixar’s Cars:
“Lightning McQueen, his pit team and new pit boss Mater head around the world for the ‘Race of Champions’, taking place in five different countries: Tokyo, Germany, Italy, a 24-hour race in France and London. However, Mater, involved in a case of mistaken identity, saves the life of a British secret agent Aston Martin called Finn McMissile, and finds himself embroiled in his spy world.”
Mount Fuji in the background of the picture and Japanese characters on the roadside banner indicate that this scene of Cars 2 takes place in Japan. And the Formula One next to Lightning McQueen kind of look like a Toyota F1 car:

“Escape from Planet Earth is a comedy about an alien prison break from Area 51, the legendary government facility rumored to imprison aliens from every corner of the universe, from which no one ever returns. Gary, an alien every-man, must overcome his fears and self-doubt to lead a daring escape, rescuing not just himself and the other inmates, but also his wife and young daughter, not only from Area 51, but from the Earth, long considered the Bermuda Triangle of the Universe.”
Judging from the pictures above, the CGI in Escape from Planet Earth isn’t exactly state-of-the-art CGI. But the plot sounds interesting. I wonder how the film is going to turn out. A movie trailer of Escape from Planet Earth should show up soon, so we’ll have a better idea by then!

City island is an hilarious comedy movie written and directed by Raymond De Felitta. The film is starring Andy Garcia, Julianna Margulies, Steven Strait, Ezra Miller, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Alan Arkin, and Emily Mortimer. Here’s the official movie trailer of City island:
CITY ISLAND
Plot:
“Vince Rizzo is a lifelong resident of the tiny, tradition-steeped Bronx enclave of City Island. A family man who makes his living as a corrections officer, Vince longs to become an actor. Ashamed to admit his aspirations to his family, Vince would rather let his fiery wife Joyce believe his weekly poker games are a cover for an extramarital affair than admit he’s secretly taking acting classes in Manhattan. When Vince is asked to reveal his biggest secret in class, he inadvertently sets off a chaotic chain of events that turns his mundane suburban life upside down. Inspired by the exercise, he decides to bring his long-lost ex-con son Tony home to meet the family, and it soon becomes clear that everyone – including his college student daughter, teenaged son Vinnie, Jr., charismatic acting partner and drama coach – has something to hide. A perfect storm of deception, half truths and confusion makes Vince and his family members realize that the truth may not set them free, but it is easier to keep track of than all their well-intentioned white lies.”
The family depicted in the movie City Island isn’t that much dysfunctional, it’s just normal life, we’re all a bit messed up after all! Can sign me up for a good laugh with the movie City island!

Scriptwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are working on the script of Star Trek 2, and of course they keep the plot secret and aren’t telling much. the But it won’t hinder Star Trek fans from asking for plot details of Star Trek 2. Lucky us, they did give a few – vague – details during a recent Star Trek Q&A:
Those two scriptwriters really want to drive the Trekkies crazy! Come on, can’t they give better hints at who’s gonna be the villain in Star trek 2?
Hmm, actually I think they did give away something: they’re kind of saying that it can’t be Khan because it would be a remake, so keeping in mind that the Klingons were introduced in a deleted scene (available on the Blu-Ray of the first film, you may watch it –>here), I’d say that the next villain will most probably be the Klingons!

Let’s watch this gorgeous HD TV spot of Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island, an upcoming thriller movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio:
SHUTTER ISLAND
Plot:
“The story of Shutter Island is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.”
Director Martin Scorsese and Actor Leonardo DiCaprio should team up more often because Shutter Island looks great like hell!
