We heard that the plot of Avatar 2 could bring to an other planet. Well, sounds like it will indeed happen! But it won’t a planet that far from Pandora, Director James Cameron recently gave a hint:
“We have some story ideas about how to branch out into other moons of Polyphemus and the Alpha Centauri A (ACA) solar system.”
Director James Cameron
Here’s the planet Polyphemus and its orbiting moons:
The first Avatar was just a high-tech Dance with Wolves movie, a marvelous movie, but a poor plot full of outdated stereotypes. Hope that James Cameron will come up with a really brand new story for the movie Avatar 2!

High Life is an upcoming comedy heist movie written and directed by Gary Yates. It is starring Timothy Olyphant, Rossif Sutherland, Joe Anderson and Stephen McIntyre. the film will be released in 2010. Here’s the first official movie trailer of High Life:
HIGH LIFE
The perfect crime…
The not-so-perfect team
Plot:
“In High Life, Timothy Olyphant plays Dick, a down-on-his-luck morphine addict and hospital orderly whose job gives him convenient access to his poison. Early in the film, he’s reunited with his old buddy Bug (Stephen Eric McIntyre), who’s fresh out of a stint in prison. After Bug helps to get Dick fired, the two hatch a drug-addled plan to grab enough money to allow them to live on easy street forever.
Their heist involves ripping off an ATM on a Friday, the thought being that then the machine will be packed with loads of cash. The best part, Dick surmises, is that no one will have to get shot or die. But plans never go quite as expected, and these unruly thugs soon find themselves embroiled in a shootout that leads to a chase when they steal an armoured truck during the exchange of gunfire.”
Timothy Olyphant got so much hair when he’s not playing the role of the Hitman! Anyway, High Life looks like a funny comedy movie.

The Lottery Ticket is an upcoming comedy movie directed by Eric White and starring Bow Wow, Ice Cube, and Brandon T. Jackson. The film should be released sometime in August 2010. Here below a first look at the movie:
(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
Plot:
“Kevin Carson (Bow Wow), a young man living in the projects, wins $370 million in a nationwide lottery. When his opportunistic neighbors discover he has the winning ticket in his possession, Kevin must survive their greedy and sometimes even threatening actions over a three-day holiday weekend before he can claim his prize.”
Gambling and lottery are maybe a sin, but I must confess that I do play often… Unfortunately I still haven’t managed to get the jackpot so far…

In the movie Dear John, Channing Tatum plays the role of a soldier who falls for a conservative college student (Amanda Seyfried) while he’s home on leave. Here’s first TV spot of Dear John:

Back in July Nicolas Cage said that the movie Ghost Rider 2 would be a kind of reboot, not really a sequel to the first film. Well, that’s now confirmed by Scriptwriter David Goyer (the guy behind the story of Batman Begins) whose script written 9 years ago has been selected for the film. He spoke to MTV in October:
“It’s not exactly a reboot. I hate to say it’s more realistic, because he’s got a flaming skull for a head, but it’s a bit more stripped down and darker. It’s definitely changing tone.
[…]
This story picks up eight years after the first film. You don’t have to have seen the first film. It doesn’t contradict anything that happened in the first film, but we’re pretending that our audience hasn’t seen the first film. It’s as if you took that same character where things ended in the first film and then picked it up eight years later—he’s just in a much darker, existential place.
[…]
My script is out there on the Internet, We’re not changing much from it. It’ll be significantly the same script.”
Scriptwriter David Goyer
Now that it’s been announced that David Goyer is in charge of the script of Ghost Rider 2 I guess more people will get interested in the sequel. If he can use the same recipe as he did for Batman Begins, then Ghost Rider 2 would become a huge success!
