Two beautiful photos of Jake Gyllenhaal as Dastan and Gemma Arterton as Princess Tamina in the upcoming Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, aka PoP, SoT for the gamers, have shown up online:
I’d like to pin those pictures of Prince of Persia on my wall. Really nice shots! But because they look so good I worry about something… I’m afraid that Mike Newell’s Prince of Persia movie is going to be too sanitized… It’s too clean! I mean put some dirt on screen (do they need CGI nowadays for things and people to look dirty in movies?). Otherwise it’s gonna look fake…
;-P
Robert Downey Jr. is on the cover of the latest issue of Empire Magazine for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming movie directed by Guy Ritchie:
I bet that lot of people will be interested in buying Sherlock Holmes’ glasses after watching the movie! Well I know I’d be happy to have the same. Anybody knows the brand of of the glasses Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) is wearing?

(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
Bella (Kristen Stewart) does fit well in the family of her beloved Edward (Robert Pattinson).
:)
Plot:
“The story’s protagonist, Jake Sully, is an ex-Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. In order to participate in the Avatar program, which will give him a healthy body, Jake agrees to travel to Pandora, a lush rainforest environment filled with incredible life forms – some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also the home to the Na’vi, a humanoid race that lives at what we consider to be a primate level, but they are actually much more evolved than humans. Ten feet tall and blue skinned, the Na’vi live harmoniously within their unspoiled world. But as humans encroach on Pandora in search of valuable minerals, Unobtanium, the Na’vi’s very existence is threatened – and their warrior abilities unleashed.
Jake has unwittingly been recruited to become part of this encroachment. Since humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars. The Avatars are living, breathing bodies in the real world, controlled by a human driver through a technology that links the driver’s mind to the Avatar body. On Pandora, through his Avatar body, Jake can be whole once again. Moreover, he falls in love with a young Na’vi woman, Neytiri, whose beauty is matched by her ferocity in battle.
As Jake slides deeper into becoming one of her clan, he finds himself caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth, and the Na’vi – forcing him to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of an entire world.”
Jake is kind of betraying his own race by siding with the Na’vi… Shouldn’t he think about mankind first? Well, better not to think too much about this, and let’s just enjoy the movie Avatar when it comes out!

A new movie adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s Picture of Dorian Gray has been tackled by Director Oliver Parker. The movie, titled Dorian Gray, is starring Ben Barnes (the Human Prince in Narnia 2) in the lead role as the ‘young’ Dorian Gray and Colin Firth as Lord Henry, Dorian’s mentor. The film is set for a release September 9, 2009 in UK, but no official date yet for the USA. Watch below the first movie trailer of Dorian Gray:
Plot:
“When a naïve young Dorian (Ben Barnes) arrives in Victorian London he is swept into a social whirlwind by the charismatic Lord Henry Wotton (Colin Firth), who introduces Dorian to the hedonistic pleasures of the city. Henry’s friend, society artist Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin) paints a portrait of Dorian to capture the full power of his youthful beauty and when it’s unveiled Dorian makes a flippant pledge: he would give anything to stay as he is in the picture – even his soul.”
The film seems to shy away from the homoeroticism of the original book written by Oscar Wilde, well I guess it’s because they’re afraid afraid of losing a mainstream audience otherwise. But that’s a shame, they’re kind os spoiling Ben Barnes’ talent! If Robert Pattinson can be gay, I’m sure Ben Barnes could do it too!

Love the music on this video showing the Lightcycle of Tron 2. Hope that Daft Punk will create something alike for the soundtrack of the movie Tron Legacy.

Imagine yourself stuck in a spaceship with lots of Gollum-like creatures hell-bent on cutting your throat, well that’s the premise of the movie Pandorum directed by Christian Alvart and starring Denis Quaid in the lead role. Watch below the Comic Con trailer of Pandorum:
