Smallville is back on air on CW next week! The Seson 9 of Smallville will indeed premier on Friday September 25, 2009. Take a look to those TV spots, they promise a great new season of Smallville:
Smallville may not respect the exact Superman canon, but it is still quite good for a TV Series. And it’s been improving over the last seasons. I still hope that Smalville Season 9 will leave the cheesy things behind for a real fireworks of action!

I hope we will see a few electric cars in the movie Cars 2: gas that’s too much 20th century, time to make place for the future!

How To Train Your Dragon Trailer
Update: a new trailer of How to train your dragon has shown up:
Plot:
“A comedy adventure set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons.”
Voice Cast:
– Jay Baruchel as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third – The main character of the film and son of chief Stoick the Vast. According to his cousin Snotlout, he is nothing like his father, is not suited to be the future chief, and is wimpy. Hiccup finds and befriends an injured dragon named Toothless, bringing into conflict his new friendship and the village’s tradition of dragon-fighting.
– Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast – The short-tempered chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe. He hopes his son will mature up and become strong enough to be chief one day, but it does not seem to go well for him.
-Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Fishlegs – Fishlegs is Hiccup’s best friend who does not seem to be good at any of the subjects that the teachers in the Viking training program teach. Fishlegs is nervous and frightened to do perilous things at times, but remains Hiccup’s best friend. He owns a dragon named Horrorcow.
– Jonah Hill as Snotface Snotlout – The son of Hiccup’s uncle, making him and Hiccup cousins. Snotlout hopes to be the chief one day, but Hiccup is the heir (in fact, if something happened to Hiccup, he’d be next in line for the job), which has spawned a hatred between them. He is strong and muscular, and is good at being a Viking. Snotlout owns a dragon named Fireworm.
– America Ferrera as Astrid.
– Craig Ferguson as Gobber the Belch, the head teacher in charge of the Viking Initiation Program. He’s loud, short-tempered, and finds everyone in his program pathetic.
Looks like we will have thrilling 3D rides on flying dragons in the Dreamworks movie How To Train your Dragon!

Not sure that having cool actors portraying crooks and gangsters is the best thing for the promotion of civil order, but at least, the movie Takers will be entertaining.

Pirates of the Carribean 4 On Stranger Tides, that’s the new official title of the fourth opus of the Caribbean movie series.

The title was revealed by Walt Disney Pictures at Disney’s D23 expo. Pirates of the Caribbean 4 would have been fine, but I don’t mind the tagline.
In Pirates of the Caribbean 4 On Stranger Tides, Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) will be looking for the fountain of Youth.
:)
Growl is the title of an upcoming horror movie that proposes to mix werewolves and Mixed Martial Arts fighting, so quite an interesting concept! The film is written and directed by Sxv’leithan Essex (don’t ask me how to pronounce his name!). No word yet about the cast. The film is should be released in 2011.
Below two teaser posters of Growl:

GROWL: IT’S THE LAST SOUND YOU’LL HEAR
I guess the odds are rather in favor of the werewolves but I’d be happy to see werewolves kicked by humans expert in MMA! Count me on for the movie Growl!

Takers is an upcoming action movie directed by John Luessenhop and starring Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba and Matt Dillon. It is set for a release on February 19, 2010.
Watch the first movie trailer of Takers:
The movie Takers does not look to bad. But nothing much original… Well, Paul Walker is in it, so I will give a try to Takers, but I’m not convinced yet by this movie…

Director Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas are teaming up again to bring us a movie sequel to Wall Street, the cult movie released in 1987. This new Wall Street movie is titled ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps”. Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Frank Langella, and Susan Sarandon are joining the cast ensemble. And it seems like Charlie Sheen, who was in the first movie, may make a cameo, but they’re still workign on that. 20th Century Fox eyes a release on April 23, 2010 for Wall Street 2.
Update – Here’s the first movie trailer of Wall Street 2:
Here below a first look at Shia Labeouf and Frank Langella respectively as the young trader Jacob Moore and Lewis Zabel, Jacob’s mentor, in the movie Wall Street 2:

There is no denying that Wall Street 2 is a timely sequel: the recent meltdown of the world’s financial markets must have given the scriptwriters a wealth of source material! And that’s confirmed by the plot of Wall Street 2:
Plot:
“The film is set 20 years after the first film, in June 2008 before the Wall Street stock market crash and federal bail out, and takes place throughout the aftermath of the stock market crash. Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) has just been released from his prison sentence of 20 years. Despite initial attempts of Gekko trying to warn Wall Street of the soon-to-be economy down-fall, stock market crash no one believes him due to his now defaced image in the financial world. Gekko then decided to re-focus his attention to rebuilding a relationship with his now-estranged daughter Winnie (Carey Mulligan). Due to the time apart (because of his prison sentence), and the fact that Gekko is blamed for his son Rudy’s suicide, Winnie avoids any contact with him.
During this same period in time, young Wall Street trader Jacob’s (Shia LaBeouf) mentor unexpectedly dies (Frank Langella), and Jacob suspects his hedge fund manager (Josh Brolin) of being involved in his mentor’s death. Jacob, who is Winnie’s fiance, wants to seek revenge, and agrees to team-up with Gekko for help; in return Jacob agrees to helps Gekko repair his relationship with Winnie.”
Shia Labeouf’s got that little cute face to play the role of the young ‘innocent’ trader who discovers the ‘evil’ side of his job… I’m a bit sad to hear that Gekko has been tamed down though: how comes he’s trying to warn people about the upcoming crash? The real Gekko would be selling short like hell to make a real fat profit when the crash happens! Greed is good! And with the new derivatives product from the last decade Gekko could make so much more! But nothing stay the same in that world, everything goes down the drain one or another… Even Gekko’s greed… Sad, isn’t it?
Anyway, I guess Wall Street 2 will be a great movie even if the former villain changed side…

We have a first clip of Men Who Stare At Goats, the upcoming dark comedy directed by Grant Heslov and based on the book of the same name written by Jon Ronson:
Men Who Stare At Goats Preview Clip
Men Who Stare At Goats is a satiric movie set inside a secret, psychic military unit: the poor soldiers in that unit are asked to stare at goats hours, it’s in order to develop the perfect psychic soldier… Psychic monsters better never to appear on Earth: don’t want Asimov’s Mule to rise or to see the creation of a cunning organization like Babylons 5’s Psi Corps…
