Scary Movie 5 in 2011?

Scary Movie 5Fans of The Scary Movie series, a series of films which mainly specialize in spoofing popular horror films, are yearning for a fifth opus installment since a long time. And so far no real clue about why it wasn’t released earlier already. Here’s some Anna Faris’ insight:

Scary Movie 5 Trailer

“I’m not sure that there’s enough kinda iconic… scary… movies around […] if we’ve got enough films like that to go off on?”

Actress Anna Faris

Ok, it may be true that there was no real tentpole horror movie. But by now, one could list movies like Quarantine, The Orphan, The Midnight Meat Train, the Collector, or even the new installments of the Saw movie series. IMDb is listing the film for 2011… They should start production now in order to release Scary Movie 5 earlier!

What other films do you think Scary Movie 5 should spoof?

Silent Hill 2 Movie

A new Silent Hill movie has been greenlit. Producer Samuel Hadida said he will boost the production of SIlent Hill 2 once Resident Evil 4 is wrapped. Screenwriter Roger Avary, who wrote the script of the first Silent Hill movie, is back to pen the screenplay of the sequel.

No word yet if Director Christophe Gans is back to helm Silent Hill 2. Also no word if Radha Mitchell is reprising her role: I guess it will depend on the script Roger Avary will deliver. The story may pick up from the first film (with Radha Mitchell prisoner of some strange parallel dimension). But that’s not sure: they may want to differentiate from the first opus which didn’t fare as well as expected. So they could create a whole new story or produce something closer to one of the Silent Hill video games.

Any advice concerning the movie Silent Hill 2?

A movie adaptation of the A-Team, based on the 1980’s television series is being filmed. The A-Team movie is directed by director Joe Carnahan and is starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Jessica Biel.

A-team Movie Trailer

Update: Here’s the official A-Team trailer:

A-TEAM Trailer

Here’s a first look at the van of the A-Team:

Plot:
“A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.”

The story has been a bit updated: they replaced Vietnam with Iraq for example.

Cast:
– Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith
– Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck
– Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. “B.A.” Baracus
– Sharlto Copley as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock
– Jessica Biel

I wasn’t a fan of the A-Team (even if Baracus looked damn great), but the cast of this A-Team movie sounds quite good: Liam Neeson from Taken and Sharlto Copley from District 9!

Let’s watch the opening theme of the original A-Team TV series: Continue reading »

Here belwo the trailer of Valentine’s Day:

Valentine’s Day

Plot:
“Intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles break-up and make-up based on the pressures and expectations of Valentine’s Day.”

I appreciate those romantic comedy movies from time to time, but most of the time I’m disappointed because I expect too much after watching the trailer. The movie trailer of Valentine’s Day, with that dynamic music, would let us think that’s it gonna be a crazy ride… But it’s a common trick to oversell a flat movie with trailer boosted with the latest music hits…

Anyway, let’s hope that the movie Valentine’s Day will keep its sweet promise!
