Hitman 2 Movie

Hitman 2 Movie - Hitman SequelFox seems determined to bring a second Hitman movie. Thanks to Variety we may have more details regarding this movie sequel to Hitman:

Hitman 2 Trailer

“Studio has hired screenwriter Kyle Ward to write a script for the movie that catches title character, Agent 47, at a low point. He must build himself back up psychologically and physically to reclaim his mantle as the world’s most feared assassin.

The film will contain story elements from “Hitman 5,” the upcoming Eidos video game that will be released in late 2010.”

No word yet if Actor Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role as Agent 47. But I suppose he wouldn’t mind to wear the bald cap again.

Amelia Movie Trailer

Director Mira Nair has tackled the movie adaptation of American Aviation pioneer Amelia Mary Earhart’s life. The film chronicles Earhart’s rise to fame and follows her rocky relationship with her husband George Putnam. Hilary Swank got the lead role as Amelia Earhart and Richard Gere plays the role of Amelia’s husband. The movie Amelia will be released on October 23, 2009. You may watch below the first official movie trailer of Amelia:

Plot:
“A look at the life of legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, who disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world.”

Aviator Amelia Earhart made history in 1932 by becoming the first woman ever to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Sadly, five years later, as Earhart attempted to fly around the world, the pilot and her plane simply vanished after crashing into the Pacific Ocean…

The real Amelia Aerhart and Actress Hilary Swank look somewhat alike:

Good that they’re making this biopic tracing the life of Amelia Earhart: I’ll bring my daughter to watch the film, it could inspire her!

THE BOX

You are the experiment.

Cameron Diaz is facing a really twisted get-rich-quick scheme. Just have to press a button to get filthy rich, that’s the treat, but the trick is kind of creepy: every time this button is pressed some random dude in the world is gonna die…

Invention of Lying Movie Trailer

Invention of lyingRicky Gervais is back with The Invention of Lying, a sweet comedy that somewhat reverses the premise of Jim Carrey’s Liar Liar. Watch the trailer of the Invention of Lying below:

THE INVENTION OF LYING

Imagine a world where everyone can only tell the truth,
and no-one has ever lied:
No big lies, no small lies, not even white lies…
Until one man discovered how!

Plot:
“The film is set on an alternate Earth where no one has ever lied, and stars Gervais as a performer who tells the world’s first lie, coming to wield its power for personal gain.”

The Invention of Lying looks like a nice lighthearted comedy. I guess I’ll have a good laugh watching it when it hits theaters on September 25, 2009.

Rachel Nichols as Scarlett in GI Joe Movie

Take a look to this GI Joe character poster of Rachel Nichols as Scarlett:

I think it’s the best GI Joe poster of Cobra so far! And yep, I’m mesmerized by the pretty little face of Rachel Nichols. And not only by her face actually:

(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)

About the original Scarlett character:

Scarlett

She was the first female action figure in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy line and is also the only member of the original team to see much action in both cartoon and comic incarnations. The official line on Scarlett is that her full name is Shana M. O’Hara. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Although she is as adept with standard weapons as any of her comrades, her weapon of choice is the crossbow which fires various bolts with specialized functions. Her rank is Master Sergeant, and she serves from time to time as team leader. Her primary specialty for the team is counter intelligence and is additionally skilled in martial arts and acrobatics. Of note, her secondary military specialty remains classified in all of her file cards.

She learned her martial arts skills from her father, who trained her and her three brothers as he was an instructor. She has several black belts in various forms of martial arts. She has long red hair, which she tends to put up into a pony tail. In some of her appearances, it is shown she may speak with a southern drawl or localized Georgian accent. She also graduated summa cum laude from a prestigious university, and passed her Bar Exams to practice law before moving into the military.

Her quote is “Beauty may only be skin deep, but lethal is to the bone”

Daybreakers Movie Trailer

Daybreakers MovieThe movie Daybreakers is an upcoming sci-fi vampire film written and directed by Peter and Michael Spierig. The film is reversing the usual demographics we are used to see in Vampire movie: in Daybreakers Mankind is the new minority! Daybreakers is starring Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Sam Neill. It is scheduled for a release on January 8, 2010.

Daybreakers Trailer

Here the first official movie trailer of Daybreakers released by Lionsgate:

DAYBREAKERS

Imagine a world where almost everyone is a vampire.

No one grows old and the remaining humans are hunted and farmed for blood

This winter the battle between immortality and humanity is on!

Plot:
“Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.”

Cast:
– Ethan Hawke as Edward Dalton, a vampire researcher who tries to save humanity from extinction.
– Sam Neill as a vampire in charge of a corporation.
– Willem Dafoe as a vampire who duels with Hawke’s character.
– Claudia Karvan as Lucy, Edward’s love interest.
– Vince Colosimo in an unnamed role.
– Isabel Lucas as the last surviving member of the human race.

I think I’d be glad to forgo the status of human in exchange of immortality. And about the blood farms: ok, sure, it’s disgusting. The premise of the movie is that artificial blood (true blood?) can’t be done (at least not fast enough, just to create some suspense). But recent research lets us expect real artificial blood that works in a not-too-distant future. More than vampirism, I’d be appealed by immortality for sure!

New Moon Movie Tie-In Book Cover

Two covers of the movie tie-in books of New Moon, aka Twilight 2, have been unveiled. And one of the covers is fairly hot:

(Click on a cover to enlarge it.)

Jacob and Bella - Twilight New Moon Twilight 2 New Moon

It could be hotter but I guess they have to keep it PG-13 because of younger audiences. They want lot of people to go watch the movie in theaters, it means they’re targeting the whole family, young teens and even kids included. But Twilight isn’t a story for kids…
So no wonder that some fans are disappointed to see the Twilight movie series to get tamed… But well, maybe in the following Twilight movies, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, they won’t shy away from the lustful passion that was one of the main reasons for the original success of Stephenie Meyer’s books.

The Last Airbender Movie Poster

I don’t like the teaser poster of the Last Airbender that has been unveiled recently because it gives too much credit to M. Night Shyamalan…

Last Airbender Poster

(Click on the poster to enlarge it.)
THE LAST AIRBENDER

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan

Written by Shyamalan? He just wrote (contributed to?) the screenplay, what a big deal! Hey, the real creators of the Avatar, aka the Last Airbender, are Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino (the one as bald as Aang):

May God bless those two guys and let’s pray for Shyamalan to stay on a good track in his adaptation of the Last Airbender!
:)

The Box Movie Trailer

The Box MovieThe Box is an upcoming thriller movie adapted from Richard Matheson’s short story Button, Button. The film is directed by Richard Kelly and is starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella. You may watch here below the first official movie trailer of The Box:

THE BOX

An ordinary family whose dreams are slipping away

But tonight everything will change

From the director of Donnie Darko

Plot:
“A small wooden box arrives on the doorstep of a married couple, who open it and become instantly wealthy. Little do they realize that opening the box also kills someone they do not know …”

This movie is not the first adaptation of Richard Matheson’s short story. It was also the plot of an episode of the television series The New Twilight Zone (second segment of the twentieth episode from the first season, 1985-1986):

Judging from the trailer of the new version I’m not sure Cameron Diaz looks mean and greedy enough for the part… But well, maybe Director Richard Matheson is playing on this in the movie The Box.
