Here’s an other trailer of Stargate Universe that was shown during the comic con, it’s much more revealing than the previous trailers we may have seen:
I’m looking forward to watch the new Stargate Universe series.

Here’s an other trailer of Stargate Universe that was shown during the comic con, it’s much more revealing than the previous trailers we may have seen:
Actor James Purefoy got the lead role in Solomon Kane, an upcoming adventure fantasy movie based on the character of the same name created by Robert Howard. stars in the title role. The character Solomon Kane is described as a somber-looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms. The movie is directed by Michael J. Bassett and is set for a release on October 28 in France, but no official release date announced yet for the USA.
Here below two movie posters of Solomon Kane:

Solomon Kane makes me think of a puritan version of Kwai Chang Kane set in the 16th century… And maybe because of his dark clothes I can but draw a comparison with Van Helsing… Well I don’t expect anything really new from this Solomon Kane movie…
;-P
When Timur Bekmambetov and Tim Burton partner to produce a movie together you may expect the result to be marvelously crazy. Well the movie 9 directed by Shane Acker is indeed a hit. Take a look to those two movie posters of 9:

At long last but not least we may have a first look at the whole Volturi cast from Twilight New Moon, aka Twilight 2:

In the universe of Twilight, the Volturi are like law enforcers among the Vampires: they are much respected, and even feared because of their mind control tricks

Some may have been worried when learning that Dakota Fanning would play Jane, but I think there is reason to be optimistic and that she will be true to the role she got: just look at her as Jane! She’s almost like a real vampire. Actually all members of the Volturi look great. There is no denying that Director Chris Weitz is bringing the Twilight movie series to a higher level: Twilight New Moon is no movie for kiddies.

Sit down: they’re rebooting The Nightmare on Elm Street, the famous horror movie franchise revolving around Freddy Krueger and his scary nails! The new Nightmare on Elm Street movie is written by Eric Heisserer and Wesley Strick, directed by Samuel Bayer and produced by Michael Bay. The film is a remake of the Wes Craven’s 1984 film, and they intend make more. Actor Jackie Earle Haley got the lead role as Freddy Krueger.
Update:
Here below a first movie poster of Nightmare on Elm Street which was released during the comic con:
Nightmare on Elm Street Movie Poster

I’m not much afraid of Freddy Krueger: my dreamcatcher would keep him away from my sweet dreams.
The movie Nightmare on Elm Street is set to hit theaters on April 30, 2010.

I usually don’t post fan posters, but this Tron Legacy poster (and his creator ) deserves some praise:
The GI Joe heroes get sexy for the mainstream public in the upcoming GI joe movie directed by Stephen Sommers:
Take a look to those international posters of Gamer, upcoming sci-fi action movie starring Gerard Butler:
Some play to survive… |
Others live to play… |
Looks like the movie will be titled Ultimate Game in France. Makes me think that Lionsgate should have kept the former title which was Citizen Game. Well, Gamer isn’t bad but not as good as Citizen Game…
:)
Actor Chris Hemsworth, who played James T. Kirk’s father in the last Star Trek movie, the one who sacrifice himself to save his familly, has been casted as the mighty Thor in the upcoming Thor movie which is set for a release in May 2011. We also know that Tom Hiddleston is going to play the role of Loki, Thor’s brother and nemesis:

Those two actors are not really well known. That’s maybe why Director Kenneth Branagh chose them: he prefers to avoid the movie to be get over hyped because of famous names: doing so, the public will judge the movie for what it is and according to what they were expecting.
From what I heard the movie Thor won’t get lost in supernatural Asgard in order to fit in the current mold of realism set by earlier movies based on Marvel’s characters.

You may watch below a red band trailer (it’s even called the blood band trailer on the official site) of of the Collector, an upcoming horror movie directed by Marcus Dunstan who is one of the screenwriter of the Saw movie series (kid, should first ask mummy if you can watch the clip!):
A new GI Joe poster featuring South-Korean Actor Byun Hun Lee as Storm Shadow in the upcoming GI Joe movie:
Ryan Reynolds, who’s already playing the role of Marvel’s Deapool, has been selected by Warner Bros to play as DC Comic’s Green Lantern in the upcoming movie dedicated to the green-ring hero. The news came as a surprise to all. But well, Ryan Reynolds is a good actor, and most agree that he’s a quite good choice.
Update: here’s the first official picture of Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern:
Here’s an earlier fan-art rendition of Ryan Reynolds in the Green Lantern’s outfit:

Ashton Kutcher is half gigolo, half womanizer in the movie Spread, an upcoming sex-a-licious comedy directed by David Mackenzie. Watch below a first preview clip of the movie Spread:
It’s been announced, via Variety, that Director David Hackl (who started off as a production designer for Saw 2, Saw 3 and Saw 4, before directing Saw 5) will return for Saw 7.
Not real clue why Lionsgate isn’t keeping Kevin Greutert (who’s directing Saw 6). But David Hackl did bring us a hit with Saw 5. So I won’t comlain about him coming back to helm the movie Saw 7.
By the way, Saw VII will start production in January 2010 for a release in October 2010.
