Russian-Kazakh film Director Timur Bekmabetov has been talking about Wanted 2, the movie sequel to Wanted which is based on the graphic novel by Mark Millar: he has started preparations on making the sequel.
“In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia.”
Director Timur Bekmambetov
According to Superhero Hype, the sequel budget would reach $150 million, so it would mean a movie at least as impressive as the first Wanted movie.
I suppose James McAvoy will reprise his role. And it seems they found a way to bring back Angelina Jolie too… From the first movie it was clear that she was hit by her tricky curvy bullet… But well, it’s all about entertainment, I suppose there isn’t much to fuel a controversy, after all we will all enjoy to see her back.
You still have have to learn how to curve a bullet (could be hard though, I think the Myth Buster team debunked this idea…) before the release of Wanted 2.

You may watch below the first official trailer of The Time Traveler’s Wife, an upcoming sci-fi romantic movie directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams:
The Time Traveler’s Wife is based on on the best-selling book of the same name written by Audrey Niffenegger.
The plot:
“A love that transcends time. Clare has been in love with Henry her entire life. She believes they are destined to be together, even though she never knows when they will be separated: Henry is a time traveler–cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting timeline, skipping back and forth through his lifespan with no control. Despite the fact that Henry’s travels force them apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.”
Eric Bana is once again tweaking time, but it’s isn’t really a sci-fi movie: it’s a beautiful love story! And not the boring kind a husband is dragged to see with his wife, absolutely not! I believe indeed that the Time Traveler’s Wife movie can reach and interest a very large public.

John Travolta and Robin Williams team up for Old Dogs, an upcoming Disney comedy movie directed by Walt Becker. The movie is scheduled for a release on November 25, 2009.
Here below the first official movie trailer of Old Dogs:
OLD DOGS
Meet Dan and Charlie:
Dan is not great with kids,
Charlie has other interests.
Vicky is back in town…
Life is not child-proof
Plot:
“In this family comedy, John Travolta and Robin Williams play two close business partners whose lives are thrown into disarray when twin seven-year-olds are put into their care. Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston, co-stars, along with the couple’s daughter, Ella. Other stars include Seth Green and Matt Dillon.”
Strange to see those two actors in the same comedy movie. Judging from this trailer of Old Dogs I don’t really expect to laugh out loud though… But it could still be funny to watch I guess.

A tipster contacted AICN and told them that a fourth Ice Age movie is being planned! Here’s the most interesting part:
“Even though Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs hasn’t even hit theaters yet, it seems a fourth Ice Age film has been well underway or the past few months. A friend of mine says the 4th installment sees Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie and Scrat frozen solid and accidentally defrosted in a museum in present day.
At this stage the film is being called ‘Ice Age Th4w’.”
AICN
I’d love this see this plot carried out! And I like the pun in the title Ice Age Thaw: our Ice Age friends will indeed be defrosted.
This plot would sound as a closure for the Ice Age movie series though…
I wonder: would Scrat the squirrel go nuts for chocolate? I know I do!

J.J. Abrams is set to produce the movie Mission Impossible 4. It’s been confirmed via magazine TV Guide:
“I am incredibly honored that Tom Cruise has invited me back as producer on Mission Impossible 4. Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing.”it’s not a literal sequel.
J.J. Abrams
Tom Cruise knows to chose the best on the market and wants to compound on the success they both had with the third opus of the Mission Impossible movie series. I’m confident that JJ Abrams and Tom Cruise will surprise us with Mission Impossible IV.
You may watch below the trailer of Shutter Island, an upcoming thriller movie directed by Martin Scorsese and based on the 2003 novel of the same name written by Dennis Lehane:
Plot:
“Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.”
This Shutter Island movie looks damned great and I’m not surprised: with Leonardo DiCaprio in the cast it couldn’t be otherwise!

Take a princess and transform her into a frog, then bring her into a jazzy swamp, er I mean a jazzy bayou, not so far away from New Orleans: that’s The Princess and the Frog, the latest animated movie from Disney.
Here below a new batch of pictures of the Princess and the Frog:
Plot:
“When the free-spirited, jazz-loving Prince Naveen of Maldonia comes to town a deal with a shady voodoo doctor goes bad and the once suave royal is turned into a frog. In a desperate attempt to be human again, a favor in exchange for a fateful kiss on the lips from the beautiful girl, Tiana, takes an unexpected turn and leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana to the banks of the almighty Mississippi and back in time for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. An unforgettable tale filled with music, humor and heart where two frogs—along with the help of a 200-year-old voodoo priestess, a love-sick Cajun firefly, and a trumpet-playing alligator—discover that what they want isn’t as important as what they need.”
I guess that Louis the jazzy alligator and Ray the firefly will steal the show…
