We’ve got our hands on a first official picture of Armie Hammer and Geoffrey Rush in Final Portrait, the upcoming biography drama movie written and directed by Stanley Tucci:

Plot synopsis:
“Paris, 1964. Alberto Giacometti (Geoffrey Rush), the famous artist, bumps into his old friend, the American critic, James Lord (Armie Hammer), and begs that he sits for a portrait because he has an interesting face. It’ll just take a couple of days in his studio. Lord is flattered by the request and as the days go by and turn into weeks and weeks seemingly with no end in sight he realizes his entire life has been hijacked by this erratic genius. The portrait continues to ebb and flow. Veering between frustration and joy, Lord ultimately sees logic in the artist’s chaotic mind and together we witness a genius complete one of his last masterpieces.”

A first official look at Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz in The Mercy (aka Deep Water), the upcoming drama biography movie directed by James Marsh based on a script by Scott Z. Burns:

“Based on the incredible true story of amateur sailor Donald Crowhurst (Colin Firth), and his attempt to win the first single-handed round-the-world yacht race in 1968.

If the film stick to what really happened, don’t expect a happy ending… It’s the sad story of a man gone mad on the high sea…
