The baker (played by Actor James Corden) and his wife (Actress Emily Blunt) are having an argument when they are suddenly interrupted by a crazy witch (Actress Meryl Streep) in this first preview clip of Into the Woods, the upcoming comedy fantasy musical movie directed by Rob Marshall:

Into The Woods – The cow ran away!
Plot:
“A witch (Meryl Streep) conspires to teach important lessons to various characters of popular children’s stories including Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy) and others.”

So the leader of the X-Men has turned into a violent racist? Damn, everything goes down the drain, LoL!

The film has yet to get an official release date.

Update – There’s a new official plot synopsis:
“Green Room is a brilliantly crafted and wickedly fun horror-thriller starring Patrick Stewart as a diabolical club owner who squares off against an unsuspecting but resilient young punk band.

What seems merely to be a third-rate gig escalates into something much more sinister when they witness an act of violence backstage that they weren’t meant to see. Now trapped backstage, they must face off against the club’s depraved owner, Darcy Banker (Stewart), a man who will do anything to protect the secrets of his nefarious enterprise. But while Darcy and his henchmen think the band will be easy to get rid of, The Ain’t Rights prove themselves much more cunning and capable than anyone expected, turning the tables on their unsuspecting captors and setting the stage for the ultimate life-or-death showdown.”

Strange Magic Movie Trailer

We’ve got our hands on the first official trailer of Strange Magic, the upcoming fantasy musical animated movie directed by Gary Rydstrom for LucasFilm:

STRANGE MAGIC

For ages two worlds lived divided: the magical and the mysterious.
Until someone crossed the line…

A battle is brewing.

A potion in unleashed.

From the mind of George Lucas.

They’re as different as night and day.

But sometimes even enemies… just need a little magic.

Plot:
“A musical fairy tale inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The film features popular songs from the last 60 years. Goblins, elves, fairies and imps are all trying to get hold of a magic potion.”

The whole thing feels like a combination of Epic and Gnomeo and Juliet. Can’t say it brings anything new to the animated world… The CG animation isn’t that bad but it’s isn’t flabbergasting either. It’s a bit disappointing knowing the film comes from Lucas…

In theaters: January 23, 2015.
