The movie trailer of Resident Evil 4, aka Resident Evil Afterlife, will be shown in front of A Nightmare on Elm Street. It was announced by Milla Jovovich (who plays the role of Zombie slayer Alice) on her Twitter account:

We just learned via Shock Till You Drop that Resident Evil 4, aka Resident Evil Afterlife, has been postponed from August 21, 2010 to January 14, 2011! Yep, it’s a sad day… But for once, they have a good reason to delay the film: it’s because they need more time for post production and for special effects. So it’s not just to drive the RE fan crazy.

According to Milla Jovovich who plays the role of zombie slayer Alice in the Resident Evil movie series, the movie trailer of Resident Evil 4 will be released in January 2010:

I hope Milla Jovovich is right and that we will have a Resident Evil 4 trailer in January 2010: the sooner the better!

I hope the action will not just take place in LA… I’d prefer Alice to go to Japan (like what was rumored) at some point in the movie, before the end if possible!

Actress Milla Jovovich has been talking about the upcoming Resident Evil 4 movie. And we learn that Alice won’t be alone to fight against the zombies and against the company: her clones sisters will be involved in this new Resident Evil movie! Zombie slayer Alice (Milla Jovovich) will be back for a fourth installment of Resident Evil! Paul W.S. Anderson is indeed damn decided to produce the Resident Evil 4, aka Resident Evil Afterlife (or Biohazard Afterlife in Japan). Filming is scheduled to start this fall 2009. So it should be released during the second half of 2010.

The story of Resident Evil 4 should take place in Tokyo in Japan and in Alaska (with Toronto standing in for Alaska, is guess that even with the crisis it still cheaper to film in canada…). Patrick Tatopoulos will return and be in charge of the creature effects while Michael Lantieri will be the new Special FX supervisor (in terms of the practical effects).

Bloody disgusting scenes of zombies feasting on human bodies ahead for sure! But I hope that Resident Evil 4 will find a better balance between pure action and plot…

Anyway I’ll still enjoy watching Alice (Milla Jovovich) smashing crazy bloodthirsty zombies in the movie Resident Evil 4!
