A preview clip of the Hurt Locker, upcoming war movie directed by Kathryn Bigelow, has been released. You may watch it here below:
Plot:
“When a new sergeant, James (Renner), takes over a highly trained bomb disposal team amidst violent conflict, he surprises his two subordinates, Sanborn (Mackie) and Eldridge (Geraghty) by recklessly plunging them into a deadly game of urban combat. As the men struggle to control their wild new leader, the city explodes into chaos, and James’ true character reveals itself in a way that will change each man forever.”
Had I opened this car trunk I would had have a sudden death out of fear! Yep heart attack for sure: those bombs all linked together are damned scary! May God bless the brave soldiers of freedom and protect the poor souls like me!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Official Trailer
prepare to get served!
In mouth watering 3D
Fall 2009
Plot:
“A scientist trying to solve world hunger encounters a problem of global proportions, as food begins to fall from the sky.”
Voice Cast:
– Anna Faris as Sam
– Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood
– Bruce Campbell
– James Caan
– Tracy Morgan as Cal
– Andy Samberg as Brent
– Mr. T as Earl Devereaux
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs looks like a really refreshing movie that both entertains and tries to make us think about real issues or world is facing, like hunger.
On a side note I’m glad to see a scientist as the hero of a movie. Let’s hope that many kids will get inspired and will become scientist too later on: our country is definitely in need of brilliant scientists!

Ben Affleck and Russell Crowe are starring in State of Play, an upcoming dramatic crime thriller movie directed by Kevin Macdonald. The story revolves around a journalist (Russel Crowe) who unveils a conspiracy while investigating the murder of the mistress of a congressman (Ben Affleck). Here below a new international trailer of State of Play:
Behind the story the truth lies
But the conspiracy goes higher.
This new State of Play trailer gives a more appealing overview of the movie. I especially like the scene showing both Crowe and Affleck: they are like an old dude and a young wolf.
State of Play hits theaters on on April 17, 2009.

Director Guy Ritchie is trying to forget Madonna by working hard on his own movie adaptation of Sherlock Holmes.
ET visited the movie set, and met the movie cast :
Sherlock Holmes Cast Interview
I like those interviews made on movie sets: they’re much more natural and telling than the artificial promo interview given just before the final release.
Robert Downey Jr. is giving an interesting point of view regarding the controversy there could be around Guy Ritchie’s modern take on Sherlock Holmes:
The movie Sherlock Holmes will be released on Christmas 2009. I’ll have to encourage my kids to read a few Sherlock Holmes book by then!
:)
Three preview clips of Fast and Furious 4 have been released:
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster will burn the road like never before!
By the way dear producers can we ask for more pretty babes in Fast and Furious 5 (yes, we know you’re thinking about a fifth Fast and Furious movie).
:)
Monsters vs Aliens is the latest Dreamworks movie, a marvelous 3D animated movie inspired by the sci-fi movies from the 1950’s. Here below two preview clips of Monsters vs Aliens:

“When a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.”
The movie Monsters vs Aliens will hit theaters on March 27, 2009.

Not sure I should show this A UK TV spot of Dragonball: I’ve seen the movie and it’s such a let down… One may think that the movie will be good from watching this well cut TV spot of DB Evolution, but the truth is: Dragonball Evolution just s**ks!
Anyway, this spot is still worth a look:
Nothing much in DB Evolution, here a summary (spoiler!):
Training – Goku and Chichi flirting – Gran Pa is killed – Goku Meets Bulma and Roshi then Yamcha – Goku and Chichi flirting – Piccolo is defeated by Goku in just a very short scene…
A crappy movie that feels low-cost (how can it feel low cost with so much CGI by the way? how is such a feat possible?), with a really superficial plot that’s far far away from the original manga…
Believe me: keep your bucks for an other movie, wait for this one to air on cable if you’re still curious about it. What a let down!

Disney Pixar has coined a new pun by releasing some UPisodes (contraction of UP and episode). Those clips of UP are promotional material and aren’t clips from the movie. But still they are funny to watch:
Adventures with Carl and Russell
New upisodes will be released and we’ll list them here.
I think there is a conspiracy at Disney Pixar for us to believe that the future of mankind will be a few sizes larger: in Wall-E the remnants of Mankind were all like chubby worms, and it looks like that Russel is the missing link…
;-P
The new international trailer of Crank 2 High Voltage, the movie sequel to Crank with Jason Statham, is definitely a must-see! Much better than the MPAA-approved US version.
Enjoy below the latest Crank 2 trailer:
Chev Chelios
Next we’ll take his lungs… Then his kidneys… Then his…
They’ve stolen his heart:
now he wants it back!
It must be much more fun for Jason Statham to work on a movie like Crank 2 than working on Transporter movies!
Crank 2 is scheduled for a release on April 17, 2009.
:)
Actor Dwayne Johnson got the lead role in Race to Witch Mountain, an upcoming sci-fi movie directed by Andy Fickman, remake of the original 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain. The film hits theaters on Friday 13, March 2009.
Preview clips of Race to Witch Mountain have popped up:

I may have compared the upcoming DB Evolution movie to Smallville, even talking about a “smallvillesque” that would have cursed the movie from the start… Well that was not fair for Smallville: I should compare this Dragonball movie to the Power Rangers too!
Just check those disappointing preview clips of Dragonball the movie:
Let’s try to be positive though: I’m definitely a fan of Eriko Tamura who plays teh role of Mai ( who is a chief enforcer of Piccolo’s and a shapeshifter) from now on! Can’t believe I didn’t notice that she is so gorgeous till now!
Here a promotional picture featuring Mai and Piccolo (who went green at long last):
(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)

I’m fan of Eriko Tamura but even her can’t save this soulless adaptation of the manga Dragonball! So it’s a relief that the movie won’t be much longer than 80 minutes.
:-P
A full-length trailer of UP, the new PIXAR movie for 2009, has been released:
This Summer, the adventure of a lifetime will be finding their way home!

Charles Muntz is an adventurer that Carl and his wife admired as children, but looks like the adventurer is that much friendly in his very old age…
The voice of Charles Muntz is done by Christopher Plummer. Director Pete Docter compared Muntz to a mix of Charles Lindbergh and Howard Hughes.
:)
The latest Wolverine trailer will definitely convince you that the movie will be awesome if you were not yet a believer:
Hugh Jackman had a double hat on this new Wolverine movie: he was both lead actor and producer. So, it was an ideal occasion for him to put forward his vision of Wolverine which is much closer to the comic canon than what we may have seen in the previous X-Men movies:
Acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning has officially joined the cast and will play the Volturi Jane in the Twilight Saga New Moon. The rumor was online since a long, but nice to have an official confirmation from Summit Entertainment.
In the universe of Twilight, the Volturi are like law enforcers among the Vampires: they are much respected, end even feared because of their mind control tricks
So Dakota Fanning will play the role of Jane, one of the prize members of the Volturi Guard and one of their highest ranking guards, a sadistic person and a pet of Aro a former Volturi leader. She seems rather bitter and easily justifies inflicting pain on anyone with her power. Jane has a twin brother named Alec and they both reside in Volterra, Italy.
Here below an interview of Dakota Fanning about her role as Jane (it was made just before she was confirmed for the role):
Good that they chose Dakota Fanning: I think that this young-but-well-experienced actress is a nice addition to the cast of this New Moon movie.
Here’s a first look at Dakota Fanning as Jane:
