The movie Up: trailer, clips, photos, soundtrack, news and much more!

Dug The Dog

The new Pixar movie UP isn’t making as much buzz s Wall-E. Well a story about a grumpy old man teaming up with a chubby boy that’s not an easy sale even for Pixar. But some supporting characters are here to save the day, like Kevin the bird or like Dug the talking dog:

Dug The Talking Dog

Up – Dug the Talking Dog – “Squirrel !”

Dug the cute talking dog is voiced by writer and co-director Bob Peterson.

Pixar's UP

Pixar's UPA third UPisode has been released by Disney Pixar to promote the upcoming 3D animated movie UP:

Russell attempts to make a Snipe Trap using chocolate as a bait.

I feel sorry for the old Carl: to be stuck with the chubby Russell… eek… must be like being in Hell!

Pixar Movie UP

Pixar's UP MovieYou may watch below an international trailer of UP, the latest Disney Pixar movie;

Pixar UP International Trailer

“By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.”

“We wanted more ‘Dumbo’ and less ‘Star Wars,’. In certain parts, it’s more of a feeling we’re going after than linear storytelling.”

Director Pete Docter

Peter Docter is quite right about the movie UP, it almost feels like Miyazaki’s movies. I don’t complain, but Pixar should stick to its own style.

If only balloons were all it needs to escape from a grim daily life!

Pixar Up Kevin The Big Bird

UP by Disney PixarI thought Dug the dog would steal the show in the upcoming Disney Pixar movie UP. But now I think that Kevin the big flashy bird is more likely to steal it:

Meet Kevin
Russell goes looking for a snipe and instead finds a giant, colorful, and very friendly bird.

Russell the chubby boy may have a good heart, but isn’t very clever… Just watch this preview clip of UP in which he introduces himself to Carl the grumpy old man: Continue reading »

A new promo picture of the upcoming Pixar movie UP has surfaced online:

UP Movie“UP” From left to right: Dug (the dog), Kevin (the strange bird), Russell (the chubby boy) and Carl Fredricksen (the grumpy old man)

Those four characters are the unlikely heroes of a great journey!

Pixar UPisodes

Disney Pixar has coined a new pun by releasing some UPisodes (contraction of UP and episode). Those clips of UP are promotional material and aren’t clips from the movie. But still they are funny to watch:

Disney Pixar presents

Adventures with Carl and Russell

Animal Calls

First Aid

New upisodes will be released and we’ll list them here.

I think there is a conspiracy at Disney Pixar for us to believe that the future of mankind will be a few sizes larger: in Wall-E the remnants of Mankind were all like chubby worms, and it looks like that Russel is the missing link…

PIXAR UP MovieA full-length trailer of UP, the new PIXAR movie for 2009, has been released:

UP Movie Trailer

UP From Disney Pixar

This Summer, the adventure of a lifetime will be finding their way home!

This new UP trailer is introducing a new character, Charles Muntz, the villain of this animated movie:

Charles Muntz - movie UP
Charles Muntz is an adventurer that Carl and his wife admired as children, but looks like the adventurer is that much friendly in his very old age…

The voice of Charles Muntz is done by Christopher Plummer. Director Pete Docter compared Muntz to a mix of Charles Lindbergh and Howard Hughes.

PIXAR UP Character Poster

Sometimes the most interesting characters in a movie aren’t the main heroes of the plot. Rhino the hamster in the movie Bolt is a stark example of second character stealing the show. Looks like we may have such a contender in the upcoming Disney Pixar movie UP. Indeed the dog is likely to get a fair part of your attention:

Let’s hope the dog will have enough scenes in the movie UP!

PIXAR UP - SuperbowlUP is the latest Disney Pixar movie that should be released on May 29, 2009. Here below the UP trailer that will be shown during the Superbowl 2009:

UP Superbowl Trailer

“The story of Up follows Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) who spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. I doubt that the movie UP will eprform as well Wall-E but it still looks good.

I suppose that Karl (the old man) and Russell (the chubby boy) will be seen landing in the jungle (like in the CES clip of UP) on the next movie poster of up.

UP Bootleg CES Clip

DISNEY PIXAR UPSomeone attending the 2009 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) was brave enough to turn on his camera phone while watching a preview clip of Pixar’s UP. So thanks to him we may enjoy below this bootleg clip of UP that just leaked online:

It does not feel as a usual Pixar movie, but still I’d be glad to watch the movie UP. I hope the voice of Russell, the kid, won’t be as deep in the final cut though…

Russell and Carl Up Movie Picture

Youth today has bad manners, no respect for older people and is getting damn lazy. Just look at this picture of UP showing Russell the young chubby boy exploiting Carl the grumpy old man as if Carl was a donkey:

How shameful, isn’t it? Stop joking: if you’re a young boy, chubby or not, you’d better help older people!

Please let me in!

I wonder if Pixar was inspired by Japanese Director Hayao Miyazaki (My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky…): it is quite different from the previous movies done by Pixar!

Pixar Up Movie Trailer 2

Movie Pixar Up in 2009

A second movie trailer of Up has been released by Disney Pixar. Up is an upcoming animated movie by Pixar which for once will mostly focus on real humans, namely Carl Fredricksen, an old widow, and Carl, a young chubby boy.

You may watch below the Pixar up movie trailer:

Pixar Up New Trailer

I don’t really like to see a fatty boy described as a hero in the movie… Hey, our youth needs real models! Being overweight like Carl at such a young age can but have a terrific impact on health later… Too often parents let kids eat what they want. So if movies are showing fatty heroes by now, where are we going?!

Anyway, I bet the Diney Pixar magic will be as efficient as usual, and that most people will appreciate Up, the latest Pixar movie, in 2009.
