IGN is sharing an interview of Scriptwriter Justin Marks who penned the screenplay of Street Fighter The Legend of Chun-Li, the upcoming movie based on the famous Capcom franchise and starring Kristin Kreuk in the lead role:
If you were wondering why this new Street Fighter movie isn’t about Ryu or Ken well Justin Marks explains that it’s to bring something new, something different from what may have been done in the past. “Chun-Li is a fresh bottle of water” in the Street Fighter universe!

Carriers is an upcoming thriller horror movie written and directed the Pastor brothers (Alex Pastor and David Pastor). The movie follows four friends who try to get away from a worldwide flu pandemic that almost wiped out mankind in a very short time span. It is starring Lou Taylor Pucci, Chris Pine, Piper Perabo and Emily VanCamp.
Watch below the movie trailer of Carriers:
CARRIERS
Plot:
“Four friends fleeing a viral pandemic soon learn they are more dangerous than any virus.
A deadly virus has spread across the globe. Contagion is everywhere, no one is safe and no one can be trusted. Four young attractive people race through the back roads of the American West to the pounding beat of a vacation soundtrack. Their aim is to retreat to secluded utopian beach in the Gulf of Mexico, where they could peacefully wait out the pandemic and survive the apocalyptic disease. CARRIERS follow their getaway through a surreal and dangerous world where laws and rules no longer apply. Their plans take a grim turn when their car breaks down on an isolated road starting a chain of events that will seal the fate of each of them in an inexorable and horrifying voyage of hell through a western landscape populated by only the hideous dead or the twisted living. Their desperate retreat south turns into a deadly battle against infected children, homicidal doctors, crazed survivalists, rabid dogs, and, finally each other. The virus is the least of their problems as horrible choices must be made in the face of lost humanity.”
I’m both thrilled and horrified by this Carriers movie!
The premise of this post-apocalyptic thriller isn’t so farfetched: a deadly mutation of a bird flu in the near future is not so unlikely… And the new virus resulting from such a mutation could infect millions of people around the world, causing a flu pandemic worse than ever! Would be a bleak future…
I doubt that the carriers would have murderous thoughts like in the film though. But still, this is a hell of a movie! Can’t understand why the movie doesn’t have an official release date yet. Carriers deserves a theater release! Hope that Paramount vantage will really support the movie.
In the new world order there will be no saviors or survivors: there will be only carriers!
:)

The Uninvited could be just one more remake of an Asian horror movie, but those girls are cute and I can but feel compelled to care for what happen to them in the Uninvited movie.

Comments Off on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
Thanks to the new clip below of Transformers 2, aka Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, we get a better understanding of the Transformers 2 clips sent by Mark@Princeton a few months ago:
No need to worry for Sam (Shia Labeouf) who is in the car in the clip above: he was able to get rid of the sticky Transformer robot, but the Windshield has been damaged for good:
Do you you think that Sam Witwicky’s car insurance will cover this unexpected damage? Those decepticons are so careless!
;-P
In this prequel to the Da Vinci Code Robert Langdon travels to Rome and the Holy See to investigate a murder linked to the Illuminati, a mysterious religious order that was thought disbanded centuries ago. Don’t miss the Superbowl trailer of Angels and Demons!

A promotional clip has been released for Coraline, the upcoming movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s book. The writer is helping to the promotion of the movie. In the clip below he dwells on Koumpounophobia, the phobia of buttons:
“I often think that the greatest of human inventions is the humble button.”
Neil Gaiman
The story of Coraline is about a young girl who finds a secret door and discovers an alternate version of her life on the other side. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her real life and the people in it – only much better although they’ve got buttons instead of eyes… But when this seemingly perfect world turns dangerous, and her other parents (including her Other Mother voiced by Teri Hatcher) try to trap her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination and bravery to escape this increasingly perilous world – and save her family.

A telekinetic fight, with fighters able to use their mind to move and throw stuff around, should be really nasty. But in the movie Push fighters aren’t that wicked… This second clip of Push just show one more tame fight between Chris Evans and Neil Jackson who are both movers:
Well fortunately telekinesy is just a fantasy because I’m sure that some wicked minds would be much more efficient in using such an ability to harm others than they do in the movie…
Someone attending the 2009 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) was brave enough to turn on his camera phone while watching a preview clip of Pixar’s UP. So thanks to him we may enjoy below this bootleg clip of UP that just leaked online:
It does not feel as a usual Pixar movie, but still I’d be glad to watch the movie UP. I hope the voice of Russell, the kid, won’t be as deep in the final cut though…

Sonja (Rhona Mitra) and Lucian (Michael Sheen) try to escape.
Sonja (Rhona Mitra) is battling against Viktor (Bill Nighy).
The main characters of Underworld 3 are:
– Michael Sheen as Lucian (Enslaved as a baby, Lucian has only been able to imagine the full extent of his Lycan powers. In the evolution from werewolf to Lycan, Lucian feels the responsibility of the Lycan race resting on his shoulders. At the same time, his love for the vampire, Sonja, complicates his desire for freedom from the Vampires.) – Rhona Mitra as Sonja (Sonja is the daughter of the powerful Vampire Elder, Viktor. Beautiful and brave, her nightly patrols defend the Coven from the hoards of ferocious werewolves. Despite her father’s hatred for the Lycan race, she has fallen in love with the Lycan slave, Lucian. She battles between the desire to fulfill the responsibilities that come with her lineage and her willful nature. Because of her love for Lucian, she is sympathetic to the enslaved Lycans’ plight.)
– Bill Nighy as Viktor (One of three ruling Vampire Elders, Viktor is a haughty, ostentatious Vampire overlord nearly 1,000 years old. Like most Vampires, he has a severe loathing for Lycans but also a fascination with their unique strengths. Through slavery and torture, he has created a small but mighty force of enslaved Lycans. Despite his best efforts to govern the Coven, the Council members have begun to question his leadership.)
Plus a short scene for Kate Beckinsale:
– Kate Beckinsale as Selene (Beckinsale did not film new footage, a scene from Underworld will be used to bookend the film)
Opening this Friday, Underworld Rise of the Lycans is the third Underworld movie directed by Patrick Tatopoulos.

Director Duncan Jones must be fan of science fiction like his father David Bowie. Jones is indeed bring us Moon, an appealing science-fiction movie full of references. It is starring Sam Rockwell in the lead role and Kevin Spacey is lending his voice to the Lunar base AI. We may watch a few Moon preview clips thanks to Collider (here) and Omelete:
Sam I can only account for what occurs on the base.
This AI with its electronic eye is like a tribute to Writer Arthur C. Clarke and to Director Stanley Kubrick in a reference to HAL9000 in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’. I am really impressed by the quality of the set and all its details. Sam Rockwell’s performance is also remarkable: he’s playing two roles at once with a real talent.
To help you better understand what’s going in plot, here’s an extract of the synopsis:
“But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Selene, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things and feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him and the new recruit is eerily familiar.
Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It’s more than his contract that is set to expire.”
Some may think that the pace of the movie a bit slow, but I think it’s a strength for such a sci-fi movie: it will render the movie experience even more realistic!
I’m damn impatient to watch Moon! Where can I buy my own Kevin Spacey AI robot? that’s better than a pet! And ifs it can run the Lunar base then it could run my house cleaning!
