Illegal aliens from outer space are still hiding among us… Fortunately the Men in Black, the self-funded New York City-based agency that secretly monitors and regulates extraterrestrials’ activity on Earth, are here to keep things in order! (Why do I think that Men in Black is a metaphor for migration control?)
Sony has decided to go ahead with Men Black 3, they made the announcement at Showest. The third installment of the Men in Black movie series is tentatively scheduled for a release in 2011.
No confirmation though about Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprising their roles… But the word is that both would be interested to come back as Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Will Smith).
Let’s hope that Sony will manage to get script amazing enough to get both Smith and Jones to get back for Men in black 3!

Terminator 4, aka Terminator Salvation, could have been a R–rated movie but it seems that McG had to go with a compromising PG13. But the movie Terminator 4 still looks deeply dark, in a way that makes it still a damn awesome movie:
You and me we have been at war since even before I ever existed…
Plot:
“After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by John Connor (Christian Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.”
Those TV spots of terminator 4 are really thrilling! Don’t miss Terminator 4 on May 21, 2009!
;-P
I am maybe a coward but no way I would work in a bomb disposal team! Want to feel the heat of the job with guys of the Hurt Locker, the upcoming war movie directed by Kathryn Bigelow? Then just take a look to those movie posters of the Hurt Locker:
(Click on a poster to enlarge it.)
May God bless the people who do this job! And protect them too!

Just juice me!
Chev Chelios (Jason Staham) is recharging his battery.
Here we go again.
Chev Chelios is running after his heart!
Prepare to die.
It’s not electricity that keeps Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) running, but rather box office success! And I bet there would still be room for a Crank 3 movie!
:)
You and me may have missed the surprise premiere of Star Trek but we still ge to enjoy those delightful new Star Trek clips that have just been released online:
Studying alien languages.
A slightly intoxicated Chris Pine as James T Kirk is hitting on Uhura (Zoe Saldana) in a local bar.
Disease and danger.
James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) gets his first introduction to Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban).
JJ Abrams selected the cast quite well: the actors are really a good fit for their respective roles! I especially like the new Dr. McCoy: Urban is awesome in that scene!
The movie Star Trek will be released on May 8, 2009.

You probably know by now that the Wolverine movie besides centering on the origins of Logan aka Wolverine is actually introducing us to other mutants especially Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.
Deadpool has quite a large following among comic book fans. And the super mutant is likely to get his own movie in a not-so-distant future. The word is that Marvel is definitely thinking about it.
Ryan Reynolds will probably reprise his role as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, unless he is eventually replaced by stuntman and actor Scot Adkins who was hired to replace Reynolds in the fight scenes.
Deapool
My name is Wade Wilson. I’m a mercenary. And I love what I do!
Deadpool is a crazy mercenary: he is maybe a bit of a villain, but he isn’t evil, he is just cynical and crazy. An explosive combination that makes his character so interesting.
This hypothetical Deapool movie has no script yet though. So what do you think a Deadpool movie should be about? Should the story pick up right after the events described in Wolverine?

More preview clips of State of Play are now available:
I Will Shout This Thing From the…
Cal McCaffrey (Russell Crowe) has an off-the-record conversation with Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck).
I’m suprised by the great interaction between Russel Crowe and Ben Affleck on screen: I didn’t expect those two to get along so well, I was thinking there would be some ego competition, but it looks to be quite smooth, and it’s easy to get into the story actually.
“The film is almost entirely about character, and yet we still have twice as much action as we did last time, so it’s going to be nuts. Essentially ‘Iron Man 2’ is about looking behind the armor, or the armature, of a superhero. It’s one thing to say you’re Iron Man, it’s another thing to be fully ready to do that.”
Robert Downey Jr.
The movie Iron Man 2 will be released on May 7, 2010.

If you’re still wondering the answer if yes: there will be a Breaking Dawn movie based on the fourth book of the Twilight saga written by Stephenie Meyer. Summit Entertainment was smart enough to lock in the rights for all the Twilight sequels and the actors have signed on for all the movies. If everything goes as smoothly as planned with the production of New Moon and Eclipse, then the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn movie should be released in 2011.
Plot – Synopsis:
“Bella and Edward are finally together: following their wedding they go in honeymoon to an island off the coast of Brazil. Over there Bella, still a human, got pregnant from her husband Edward, who is a vampire.
The crossbreed child to be born is cause of concern even before her birth: the werewolves feel the child could be a threat to them (putting Jacob , and even the vampires aren’t really at ease…
During childbirth Bella loses so much blood that she is on the verge of death. But Edward must fulfill his promise to make his wife Bella into a vampire in order to save her.
Will Edward and Bella be able to save their daughter?”
Obviously Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will be back for the movie Twilight Break Dawn
Unfortunately, “as usual” with Summit Entertainment, it is hard to guess who could be the director of Twilight 4 Breaking Dawn. No need to worry though, because no matter what, we all know that Stephenie Meyer will act as the ultimate guardian of her masterpiece. And if need be, fans are here to help to keep things on track.
Below a video of Stephenie Meyer talking about the Breaking Dawn novel:
There are so many details and subplots in Breaking Dawn, that unfortunately a movie could not cover them all. So aside from the main plot, what do you think is absolutely necessary in the Twilight movie Breaking Dawn for it to be considered as faithful to the original source material?
Fire Missile now!
Mala tries to escape from a human ship with th help of Giddy the robot (voiced by David Cross)
Plot:
“A peaceful alien planet faces annihilation, as the homeless remainder of the human race sets its eyes on Terra. Mala, a rebellious Terran teenager, will do everything she can to stop it.”
If Mankind’s survival is really at stake I’d rather see Mankind annihilating those aliens than listening to some eco-pacifist-hippie feeling…
Anyway I eagerly await the movie Battle for Terra which is set to hit theaters on May 1rst, 2009.
;-P
Fast and Furious is currently has been hit theaters and is performing quite well. Well enough to safely say that there will be a Fast and furious 5 movie. Vin Diesel was hinting at Fast and Furious 5 since a while:
“Yes. Yes. I think a few pictures at a time ahead. I try to work out stories in the way I approach sequels. In that, Coppola way. I try to think out the story, even before we go to shoot the film that’s at hand. So yes, I have been thinking about it (Fast and Furious 5). I actually brought up the idea of shooting both of the movies back to back to the President of Universal. He was like, ‘What? We’re just getting our feet back together.”
Vin Diesel
And Paul Walker is stating that it’s almost green lit:
“It’s beyond rumors at this point. I’ve spoken with executives at Universal and they’re pretty serious about it. They’re developing it. They know where they want it to take place. They want to do it in Europe”
Paul Walker
Of course the FF4 ended on a tease that clearly opens the road for a fifth installment of the Fast and Furious movie series.
So actually, there is not the shadow of doubt: Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), aka Dom, is going to somehow escape and will meet Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) again in Fast and Furious 5.
Paul Walker has been talking about Fast and Furious 5 moving to Europe. Would be great if they could hire English actor Statham or some of the actors of the French movie Taxi. But I would get damn enthusiast if the plot of Fast and Furious 5 was instead to pick up right where Tokyo Drift ended. I did enjoy Tokyo Drift, even still obsessed with the with the Teriyaki’s song:
Any advice for fast and Furious 5? What do you want to see in FF5? Should the plot take place in Europe or pick up from Tokyo Drift? And what title do you have in mind? Fast and Furious 5 or something more elaborate?
:)
Looks like that Russell from Pixar’s UP has been hired in Stargate Universe, the new Stargate TV series that should start to air this Summer. Well not the young Russsell, but a 20-years-old version, just look at the face of this chubby red-shirt boy (David Blue as Eli Wallace):
Stargate Universe is billed as “edgier in tone” than its predecessors, it will follow a team of explorers headed by Dr Nicholas Rush, played by Carlyle, who have to fend for themselves when their hidden base comes under attack.
I do welcome this edgier tone, but I’m not sure they should have chosen this candy music to promote such a sci-fi show…
