The Hugues Brothers bring us The Book of Eli, a brand new post-apocalyptic movie starring starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman. Watch below the Book of Eli trailer:
This Book of Eli trailer makes me want to go play to Fallout the post-nuclear role playing game! Hell the Book of Eli really feels like the game Fallout, with maybe a touch of Blade because of Denzel Washington using a samurai sword! The whole things is a damn explosive combination that for sure will catch the attention! Sign me on for the Book of Eli movie!
:)
New pictures of The Expendables, the upcoming action starring Sylvester Stallone and a bunch of other strong dudes like Jason Statham and Jet Li:

Thanks to fellow moviegoer Andrew who’s expert in all things related to Saw movie franchise we may watch the first official trailer of Saw VI:
Trailer 2:
Trailer 1:
6 chances, 6 lessons, 6 choices!
The CGI of this teaser trailer of Saw 6 may look kind of cheap, but can’t bear a grudge against Lionsgate for this. Well, I hope that Lionsgate will put some more money on the promotion material of Saw 6 because so far they aren’t as creative as what they did for the previous Saw movies…
Anyway let’s just enjoy the fact that the final official release of the movie Saw 6 is nearing!
:)
Director Jimmy Hayward is bringing the movie Jonah Hex, based on the character published by DC Comics. The film can be described as a a spaghetti western that includes voodoo and zombies. It is starring Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and Megan Fox. The movie Jonah Hex is set for a release on June 18, 2010.
We may have a first look at Josh Brolin as the anti-hero Jonah Hex:
(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)
Plot:
“Bounty hunter Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) in the late 19th century is tracking down voodoo practitioner Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich), who plans to free the Confederate South with an army of the undead.”
Movie Cast:
– Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex, a disfigured bounty hunter.
– John Malkovich as Quentin Turnbull, Jonah Hex’s nemesis.
– Megan Fox as Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and Jonah Hex’s love interest.
With John Malkovich in its cast besides the sweet Megan Fox, this movie can but catch my attention. And from the premise of the film it is clear that it won’t be our grand-father but rather a western zombie fest! What an amazing concept!
Hope to get a preview clip of the movie Jonah Hex soon.

Walt Disney Pictures has finally revealed what is (let’s hope!) the final title of the Tron 2 movie. It will be titled Tron Legacy. Here’s a picture of the new logo:
Update: here’s the trailer of Tron legacy:
(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)
Plot of Tron Legacy:
“Tron is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.”
It’s indeed about legacy with Tron 2: besides the original cast being back, the plot is focusing on the son of Kevin Flynn the hero of the first movie. So the official title of Tron Legacy for the movie Tron 2 isn’t that bad. But would have been better to stick to a title as simple as Tron 2!
;-)
Take a look to this Saw VI poster featuring the twisted human carousel we saw in the Saw 6 clip released earlier:
SAW VI
Halloween
The game comes full circle
Transformers fans are begging for Unicron (Unicron is a a nearly omnipotent robot/planetoid, a kind of Galactus) to appear in Transformers 3, the next Transformers movie sequel. But that’s unlikely to happen according to Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura who spoke his mind to IGN (here):
But on the other hand Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has been praising the Mini-Cons stating that they’re really cool!
The Mini-Cons are a race of small, roughly human-sized Transformers capable of combining with a larger Transformer to impart extra abilities or greatly increase their strength.
Would love to see those mini-cons in Transformers 3: it would promise gorgeous scenes with robotic transformations! So yes, please Dear Mr. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, please bring in the mini-cons for the movie Transformers 3! I beg you! We all do!
;-P
A first red band movie trailer of Hot Tub Time Machine has shown up:
The movie Hot Tub Time Machine is directed by Steve Pink and is starring John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke, Rob Corrdry, Chevy Chase and more. It is scheduled for a release on February 26, 2010.
This movie is no masterpiece but it’s a good laugh ahead for sure.
:)
With such a poster, one can but guess that the movie 2012 is directed by Roland Emmerich, the king of disaster movies:
2012
We were warned…
A new movie trailer of Whiteout, the upcoming thriller movie set in the cold hell of Antarctica, is available:
Antarctica: the most isolated landmass on the planet,
no permanent population, no horizon, no shadows, there is only…
white!
Anyway I’ll take something warm with me when I’ll go watch the movie Whiteout.
:)
Lionsgate has also released the first preview clip of Gamer, the upcoming sci-fi action movie starring Gerard Butler:
Funny to imagine a big guy like Gerard Butler being controlled like a puppet by a weakling teen (no offense to weaklings: I’m a weakling too! just older). I hope that Lionsgate will show us more of the film Gamer soon.
:)
Leonardo got the crazy in his head (is he disturbed because of the Signal?) on this new movie poster of Shutter Island, an upcoming thriller movie directed by Martin Scosese:
Someone is missing…
Bright day for the fans of of the Saw movie series, a first Saw 6 clip has been released by Lionsgate:
The movie Saw VI will released in October 2009
:)
Director Stephen Sommers composedly announced that there will be a movie sequel to GI joe during a conference in Australia. I guess it’s good news because the first movie is actually setting things for something much better ahead. From the tidbits that leaked online we know indeed that the upcoming GI Joe Rise of Cobra movie is a kind of Origins story for Cobra Commander.
GI Joe 2 – GI Joe Movie Sequel
At the beginning of the GI Joe movie Cobra Commander (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is actually called the Doctor. He’s working for James McCullen who’s a the head of the powerful company MARS.
But at the end the Doctor becomes the Cobra Commander we know, an evil genius all powerful and damn Machiavellian, and James McCullen can but step down to become Cobra’s minion under the name of Destro (Cobra gifts him with a mask made of nanocytes).
Cobra Commander and his minion Destro – GI JOE 2The yet-to-be-released GI Joe is suffering from some bad buzz online, can understand this by looking at the poor CGI of the exoskeletons… But I guess it won’t hinder GI Joe from being a blockbuster: lot of action, plenty of special effects, and the whole thing based on a famous franchise, you bet people are going to watch it in theaters. I know I will! Can’t miss that!
But I’m much more thrilled by GI Joe 2! The origins of Cobra are maybe interesting but what I want, and I guess GI Joe fans too, is to see a full-fledged Cobra Army with its mighty Machiavellian commander at its head.
GI Joe can be a hell of of a movie if they do things right. Could be a perfect mix of action and science-fiction!
So let’s hope that Director Stephen Sommers will have the means to bring us this GI Joe 2 movie!
:)
