A new clip of My Bloody Valentine 3D:
Chief you’ve got a valentine…
Could you give me the gloves?
Yeap, when having intimate contact with your valentine you should use latex stuffs to be safe! My Bloody Valentine 3D is full of wisdom!
;-P
A new clip of My Bloody Valentine 3D:
Youth today has bad manners, no respect for older people and is getting damn lazy. Just look at this picture of UP showing Russell the young chubby boy exploiting Carl the grumpy old man as if Carl was a donkey:
How shameful, isn’t it? Stop joking: if you’re a young boy, chubby or not, you’d better help older people!
If you don’t help then Santa Claus will just ignore you for Christmas 2009 and you’ll be banned from theaters showing Disney Pixar movies… You’ve been warned, so behave yourself!
;-P
Do you know that Daniel Craig aka James Bond and Liev Schreiber aka Sabretooth are brothers in the movie Defiance? Real brothers who want to protect each other like in this clip of Defiance:
They like each other, but like in any family tensions aren’t very far…
The movie Defiance will get a wide release on January 16, 2009.

Agora Movie directed by Alejandro Amenabar
In order to recreate the antique streets of Alexandria Director Amenabar isn’t stingy: huge sets have been built on the island of Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea:
Below a photo of Rachel Weisz as Hypatia:
Plot:
“A historical drama set in Roman Egypt, concerning a slave (Max Minghella) who turns to the rising tide of Christianity in the hopes of pursuing freedom while also falling in love with his master (Rachel Weisz), the famous female philosophy professor and atheist Hypatia of Alexandria.” (Source: IMDb)
Cast:
– Rachel Weisz as Hypatia of Alexandria
– Max Minghella as Davus, her slave
– Oscar Isaac as Orestes
– Ashraf Barhom as Ammonius
– Michael Lonsdale as Theon, father and teacher of Hypatia
– Rupert Evans as Synesius
– Homayoun Ershadi as Aspasius
Director Amenabar isn’t working on a cheap cardboard peplum: Agora will be a really amazing reconstitution! Let’s hope he will find a right balance between historical facts and entertainment: if he does find it then the movie Agora could become a blockbuster.
:)
Go get your 3D glasses if you don’t have any yet because you’re going to need them in order to fully enjoy the 3D trailer of Monsters vs Aliens that will be shown during the Superbowl 2009:
Monster vs Aliens Superbowl Trailer in 3D
Don’t miss this Superbowl Monster vs Aliens trailer on February 1rst, 2009!
Not yet confirmed but we may also expect a Superbowl GI Joe movie trailer. I love the Superbowl! Well, I actually only love the Superbowl commercials: I’m too lazy to even watch sport on TV…
Here’s the Superbowl trailer of Monsters vs Aliens:
Gorgeous! Dreamworks rules! I definitely have to go watch Monsters vs Aliens in 3D in my city’s IMAX theater!
;-P
We just learned (via Slashfilm) that Disney announced that Garrett Hedlund will have the lead role in Tron 2.0, the movie sequel to Tron. The rumor is that Garett Hedlund will play the role of man who get sucked into the computer program and finds himself retracing the steps of a character from the original movie named Kevin Flynn (originally played by Jeff Bridges who is also reprising his role for the sequel).
This will be the first real blockbuster Garett Hedlund is starring in. Hope he will surprise us in the movie Tron 2.0!
Instead of trying to steal the work of others like they’re trying with the movie Watchmen 20th Century Fox should better try to fix Dragonball Evolution… Here below some more cheesy pictures from this upcoming cheesy live-action movie adaptation of the famous manga:
Yeap that’s Goku (Justin Chatwin) at school! Let’s try to be positive: at least the girls look good, don’t they?

Mark Millar’s comic books are a hot source material for Hollywood since Wanted. The latest movie to be based on Mark Millar’s work is Kick-Ass, an upcoming action movie based on the comic book of the same name and directed by Matthew Vaughn. Kick-Ass is about a boy who throws on a super-hero outfit and goes fight against crime even he doesn’t have any superpower. Kick-Ass breaks and reimagines superhero conventions in a dramatic satire full of violence.
Kick-Ass Movie Directed by Matthew Vaughn
The movie Kickass is starring Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong, Chloe Moretz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. No official release date announced yet, but the movie should be released during the second half of 2009.
We have a few set photos with Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist:
Below the picture of a stuntman wearing the superhero costume of Kick-Ass:
(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)
The Plot:
“Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.” (Source: IMDb)
Cast:
– Aaron Johnson as the main character Dave Lizewski / Kick-Ass
– Nicolas Cage will play a former cop
– Chloe Moretz as the cop’s daughter, aka Hit girl
– Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist
– Mark Strong as an evil druglord
– Lyndsy Fonseca as the hottie Lizewski is hitting on
I hope that Director Matthew Vaughn won’t shy away from a R rating: ok, it would mean that a younger public wouldn’t be allowed to watch the movie in theaters (because of the dictatorial stance of the MPAA), but if Matthew Vaughn wants to be faithful to the original material, the movie Kick-Ass has to be rated R!

The US movie trailer of Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li has shown up online:
This February
Some fight for power…
Some fight for us!
Some are still sulking because Ryu and Ken aren’t appearing in the movie, they even pretend that’s this is a major flaw. But, it doesn’t matter whether Ryu and Ken are in the movie or not. The movie is about Chun-Li after all: it is an origin story. So let’s enjoy this Chun-Li movie! Anf for the fanboys, don’t be too sad, I bet that Ryu and Ken will get a movie soon!
:)
Kyle XY is coming back next week for the third season. Here below the first two minutes of ‘It Happened…’, the first episode of the new season of Kyle XY:
Other good news: heard about a possible season 4 of Kyle XY! With only 12 episodes season 3 would seem quite short, so I can be but happy when hearing about Kyle Season 4!
Thanks to Io9 I just spotted that the premiere of Kyle XY Season 3 is already freely available online (only from the US though, I feel sorry for our international friends…):
Kyle XY Season 3 Premiere S3xE01 It Happened One Night
I’m definitely a fan of Kyle XY, and I always enjoy Kyle doing voice-overs!
:)
We’ve got a batch of pictures of The Code, aka Thick as Thieves, upcoming movie directed by Mimi Leder and starring Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, and the sweet Radha Mitchell:
It’s hard to believe that Antonio Banderas is playing the role of the “young” thief… Well, at least he’s quite thick (sign of age?)…
;-P
Last February Ryan Reynolds was surrounded by beautiful women in Definitely Maybe. This year, he’s got a proposal he can’t refuse that’s coming from the pretty Sandra Bullock. Take a look to this extended movie trailer of The Proposal:
I’ll go with my wife watch this romantic comedy: I’ll tell that’s for having some time with her, but actually I’d go alone to watch the Proposal if she wasn’t interested in the movie!
;-P
Here below a second poster for Angels and demons, upcoming movie directed by Ron Howard which is a prequel to the Da Vinci Code:
This statue would be damn fine in my garden! But better to keep it in Rome.
;-P
The release of the movie Watchmen will probably be postponed… Greedy Fox is quite jealous of Warner Bros’ success and recently asked a judge to block the release! What a negative buzz for 20th Century Fox… But even if the movie is delayed and Fox happens to prevail at the end, I would still go see the Watchmen. Damn this movie looks too awesome for one to miss it! Just have a look to this Watchmen featurette in which Director Zack Snyder gives an overview of the movie and in which he presents the characters of the Watchmen universe:
Below the cast and the respective roles:
– Jackie Earle Haley as Walter Kovacs / Rorschach: A superhero who continues his vigilante activities after they are outlawed. He was transformed over time from a “soft” costumed hero into a killer who sees the world in black and white.
– Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre: A retired vigilante superheroine. Akerman described her character as the psychology and the emotion of the film due to being the only woman among the men.
– Billy Crudup as Dr. Jon Osterman / Doctor Manhattan: A superhero with genuine powers who works for the U.S. government.
– Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias: A retired vigilante superhero who has since made his identity public.
– Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Blake / The Comedian: A vigilante superhero who is commissioned by the U.S. government.
– Stephen McHattie as Hollis Mason: The first vigilante to take up the mantle of Nite Owl.
– Carla Gugino as Sally Jupiter: A retired vigilante superheroine, mother of Laurie Juspeczyk and the first Silk Spectre.
– Matt Frewer as Edgar Jacobi / Moloch the Mystic: An elderly rehabilitated criminal, known when he was younger as an underworld kingpin and magician.
– Niall Matter as Mothman: He is not a main focus of the storyline, but appears in flashbacks, at one point reduced in his later years to fragile sanity, unnerving the second Silk Spectre. He is regarded fondly by most of the Minutemen, and the first Nite Owl sends the second to visit him, uncostumed, on his behalf.
– Dan Payne as Dollar Bill: A first-generation crimefighter who caught his cape in a revolving door during a bank robbery and was shot to death.
– Danny Woodburn as “The Big Figure”: A dwarf crime boss whom Rorschach put in prison.
Director Zack Snyder made a hell of a job on this movie. Let’s pray for Fox and WB to reach an agreement as soon as possible: we are all waiting for the Watchmen!
:)
A US poster has been unveiled for Street Fighter The Legend of Chun-Li:
Some fight for power.
Some fight for us.
This Chun-Li movie poster does not look that bad, but it’s not outstanding either… I have the impression they’re marketing this movie like a basic action-fight movie, let’s say like if it they were promoting a basic MMA movie like Never back Down. But that’s a Street Fighter movie for God’s sake! The source material is well known, there is a large fan base, so they could make an effort to produce a better poster… For a start I’d suggest to switch back to a yellow-orange logo instead of this blue title…
;-P
