I suppose Indian people will rejoice to see Dev Patel in this role, but some squabbler could still assert that Zuko is actually from a Chinese-like civilization though… Hey, to the squabblers from any origin: that’s useless bickering!

I’m really happy with the cast selected by Director M. Night Shyamalan so far.

Select scenes of Transformers 2, aka Transformers revenge of the Fallen, have been shot with IMAX cameras. So if you really want to get the full bang for you buck you definitely have to watch Transformers 2 in your nearest IMAX theater.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is the last film appearance of the late Heath Ledger, Oscar winner for The Dark Knight. Moviegoer Iszaham pointed us to this footage shown at the occasion of the Cannes Film festival:

I think some movies should never be released… G-Force, the latest Disney movie directed by Hoyt Yeatman, is one of those. Not because because it’s bad, not at all, but rather because I expect my kids to ask for their own team of rodents at home after watching this movie… Problem is, my wooden floor is incompatible with such pets. There is no denying that those rodents are cute though:

Do you remember the old TV series V that aired on NBC? It was a science fiction series about an alien invasion of Earth by a carnivorous race of reptilians (wearing a human skin too fool Mankind) known as “The Visitors”. I was quite found of the show, still remember the visitors eatings mouses and insects for breakfast!

Well we will be able to enjoy a brand new remake of the series on ABC!

I like the new take on V: if I have to make a bold statement, I would even say that when there is a kind of Battlestar Galactica vibe in this new V series!

Director Jonathan Mostow who once brought us Terminator 3 must have a thing for robots: Surrogates, his latest movie starring Bruce Willis and Radha Mitchell, is set in a world in which people use remote controlled bodies instead of working out their own flesh and blood bodies.

“In the near future, humans live in isolation and only interact through remote-controlled artificial bodies that serve as surrogates. When several surrogates are murdered, a cop (Bruce Willis) investigates the crimes through his own surrogate. Can’t say that they parsimoniously used footage from the film to make this Surrogates trailer: feel like I saw the movie already… Can still be surprised though by the general feel of the film. Besides I believe in Bruce Willis’ ability to catch our attention.

There was some stupid controversy about the cast selected by M. Night Shyamalan for the Last Airbender, the upcoming movie adaptation of the animated series Avatar aired by Nickelodeon. But this first look at Noah Ringer as Aang, aka the Avatar, will conquer the hearts of even the most die-hard fans:

It seems that Shyamalan’s Airbender is shaping as a quite faithful adaptation. Will have more confimation with the movie trailer of the Last Airbender which will be shown in front of Transformers 2.
