The new Pixar movie UP isn’t making as much buzz s Wall-E. Well a story about a grumpy old man teaming up with a chubby boy that’s not an easy sale even for Pixar. But some supporting characters are here to save the day, like Kevin the bird or like Dug the talking dog:

Plot:
“Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo), Diego (Denis Leary), Ellie (Queen Latifah), Eddie (Josh Peck), Crash (Seann William Scott) and Scrat encounter a dinosaur, reptile, and amphibian population which survived extinction in its tropical paradise, which existed below the thick layers… until now. Meanwhile, Crash and Eddie are up to their usual crazy selves. Manny and Ellie have since become an item and are going to have their first baby, and Manny wants everything to be perfect when his baby arrives. Diego is tired of being treated like a ‘House-cat’ and ponders the notion that he’s being too laid back. Sid starts to wish for a family of his own, and so steals some dinosaur eggs which leads his herd to go and to try to rescue him while dodging dinosaurs and facing danger left and right; they also meet up with a new friend who’s a one-eyed weasel known as Buck (Simon Pegg), who hunts Dinosaurs intently. Scrat also meets a squirrel named Scratte and could find a possible romance with her.”
Captain Kirk is gonna meet the Cloverfield monster’s cousin! Just watch this new clip of Star Trek:
Red Cloverfield-like monster running after Kirk in the snow!
The snow-planet monster, who’s also affectionately named the Big Red, was created by creature guru Neville Page (it worked on Cloverfield, upcoming Avatar and Piranha 3D).
So we knew about Slusho, now there is also Cloverfield: that’s definitely J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek!

This early draft of New Moon’s script is pretty good, and I think there is a potential for reeaching a larger public than the first Twilight movie did. That’s probably why Director Chris Weitz was hired in the first place too.
:)
The movie is about a quite old man who gets interested in a young woman from the South, played by Evan Rachel Wood. The film will hit theaters on June 19, 2009.

Brad Pitt got the lead role as in Quentin Tarantion’s Inglourious Basterds. Here’s a new character poster:
(Click on the poster to enlarge it.)
BRAD PITT IS A BASTERD
Brad Pitt plays the role of Lt. Aldo Raine aka “Aldo the Apache”: he is an illiterate hillbilly from the mountains of Tennessee, who puts together a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers. He bears a rope burn on his neck, which will never be mentioned in the film but is obvious on this poster (the script hints that he might have survived a lynching).
The character has been described as “a voluble, freewheeling outlaw” similar to Jules Winnfield from Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction.
The movie Inglourious Basterds will premiere at the 2009 Cannes Film festival this month.

The screenplay Ghostbusters III is drafted by Scriptwriters Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg (from Office). Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, and Dan Ackroyd are likely to reprise their roles, but rather as supporting characters. According to the rumor the new film would actually focus on a new crew of Ghostbusters who are mentored by the veteran fighters.
Let’s watch this Ghostbusters clip to remember the origins:
Ghosbusters 3 is likely to get released in 2011.
By the way, Sigourney Weaver could be back too in the movie Ghostbuster 3! That’d be awesome!
:)
Terminator Salvation isn’t released yet that Director McG seems working on developing Terminator 5 later on. Film Journal International, a trade publication covering the motion picture industry (I believe it’s a reliable source), met with Director McG to talk about T4. McG must have felt confident because he also dwelt on terminator 5, the movie sequel to Terminator Salvation:
“I strongly suspect the next movie is going to take place in a [pre-Judgment Day] 2011. John Connor is going to travel back in time and he’s going to have to galvanize the militaries of the world for an impending Skynet invasion. They’ve figured out time travel to the degree where they can send more than one naked entity. So you’re going to have hunter killers and transports and harvesters and everything arriving in our time and Connor fighting back with conventional military warfare, which I think is going to be fucking awesome. I also think he’s going to meet a scientist that’s going to look a lot like present-day Robert Patrick [who famously played the T-1000 in Terminator 2], talking about stem-cell research and how we can all live as idealized, younger versions of ourselves.”
They are not welcome.
They are not accepted.
They are not Human.

The premise of District is twisting the usual alien invasion plot: in District 9 the aliens come to Earth in a huge spaceship but are running out ‘fuel’, so instead of invaders they transform into refugees.
The movie adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road directed by John Hillcoat and starring Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee was due for last year, but it’s been delayed because of post-production taking more time than expected.
Well, it seems they completed the job: the Weinstein Company is now announcing the release of the Road for October 16, 2009.
Plot of the Road:
“A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don’t know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food–and each other.”
Actor Viggo Mortensen will mesmerize us in his embodiment of the fater, with Kodi Smit-McPhee as his son.

The French would be upset at seeing their precious Eiffel tower being eaten by some green goo? I guess so! That’s probably why this GI Joe trailer premiered on a French site: must be to alleviate the pain!
Plot:
“Ten years in the future, the G.I. Joe team battles the evil Cobra Organization, run by a Scottish arms dealer. The story takes place across the Arctic, Paris, Moscow, Washington, D.C., Australia and the Sahara. The team will be based in the Pit, while it was indicated Cobra Island will appear. In terms of characterization, the focus will be on Scarlett and the Baroness’s romantic lives.
The film also acts as an origin story for many of the characters. Stephen Sommers said, “For people who know nothing about it, it’ll make sense. And to people who love this stuff, it’ll show where they all came from.”
The movie GI Joe Rise of the Cobra will hit theaters on August 7, 2009.
