Terminator Salvation was not much praised by the hard-core Terminator fans, but the film did pretty well worldwide. And movie sequel is definitely planned. Director McG has been talking to IGN about Terminator 5:
“One of the problems is that in a post-apocalyptic world, everybody’s a little bummed out because your brother melted… your friends are gone. Everything went haywire. So the idea is to play with one of the tried and true rules of the franchise – time travel – and introduce it in this picture. I don’t want to share too much, but let’s just say it’s very, very likely that John Connor is going to end up running through rooms like this where he knows something that none of us know. And I think that is a platform for great storytelling. Because I always love it when [Kyle] Reese is in our world, as you saw in the first picture, and everybody thinks he’s out of his [expletive] mind and he knows and he can’t afford to be concerned. And he’s got to convince someone he cares about to come with him! And that’s one of the engines. And we’ll have a much more clearly defined antagonist in the new picture. It will be more of a chase movie with a new Terminator that is on your ass. “
Mcg is taming down the potential plot (that was about an all-out attack/invasion of Future Skynet into our time) he previously revealed for Terminator 5. Now it sounds like John Connor would come back to our time with ‘only’ a nasty Terminator to chase him (yep like in ‘good old time’).
Well, he should stick to the invasion plot rather than planing one more useless chase movie.
;-P
In the Time Traveler’s Wife, Eric Bana plays the role of a man who randomly travels in time. He got no control on his time jumps. But don’t worry he still finds love and even get a wife (Rachel McAdams). Watch those preview clips of The Time Traveler’s Wife:
I may have had mixed feeling about The Imaginarium of the Doctor Parnassus, because I thought it was a bit too strange, but now, I’m definitely thrilled by the movie: Director Terry Giliam did a remarkable job, and Heath Ledger’s latest footage hasn’t been spoiled. Sign me on for the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus!

Those scary nurses aren’t attractive as last year’s nurses but one can’t deny that they do fit in the twisted universe of Saw: I guess that’s how Jigsaw’s girlfriend would look like!

The movie GI Joe is already out in theaters and now the next blockbuster not to miss is District 9, an upcoming sci-fi movie directed by Neill Blomkamp:
JJ Abrams, who directed MI-3 and will be producing the fourth Mission Impossible movie, has announced that Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec, the guys behind Alias (series created by Abrams), have been hired to pen the screenplay of Mission Impossible IV:
Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec to write the script of MI:IV
“I’ve been looking forward to working with Josh and Andre again for years. Their sense of balance between character and action is wonderful, which I know is hugely important to Tom as well. We’re off to an exciting start, so, as usual, fingers crossed.”
J.J. Abrams
Let’s hope that those two chaps will write a great screenplay for Tom Cruise to amaze us again in the film Mission Impossible IV.

With the movie ‘It’s complicated’ it looks like Alec Baldwin is trying to emulate Woody Allen’s really complicated love stories. The character played by Alec Baldwin went through a mid-life crisis and ditched his former wife, but he finds out that he still wants to see her. He has to face some competition to win back the old wife’s heart tough:
Plot:
“A romantic comedy in which two men vie for the affection of a woman.”
The romantic comedy movie It’s Complicated is written and directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Nancy Meyers and is starring starring Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, and Meryl Streep. It will be released on December 25, 2009.

Well, such robots would need a fail-safe control! I’m not much afraid of the machine itself, but I fear that people remote controlling such things could lose control of themselves… Imagine being smashed by one of those…

Ben Barnes got the lead the role in the new Dorian Gray movie. But it’s a 100% straight version of Dorian Gray: the producers just shy away from the homosexual content of the original book written by Oscar Wilde. Anyway, take a look to the Dorian Gray poster:
(Click on a poster to enlarge it.)
They could do better: why don’t they show the rotting face of Dorian Gray in a mirror?

Some great calendars are being made for the release of Twilight 2 New Moon. We saw a few Twilight 2 stills yesterday and this morning an anonymous reader sent those great pictures of an other New Moon Calendar:
Creation is a biopic movie telling the life of Charles Darwin, the famous British scientist who wrote the revolutionary book “The Origin of Species”. The movie Creation is focusing on the impact of the book he was writing on Charles Darwin’s personal life. The film is directed by Jon Amiel and is starring Paul Bettany as Darwin, and the beautiful Jennifer Connelly as his wife Emma. The movie will be released on September 25, 2009 in the UK but no official US release date yet.
Watch below the movie trailer of Creation:
CREATION
His book was the most explosive in History.
It would change the world!
And test everything he loved…
Plot:
“English naturalist Charles Darwin struggles to find a balance between his revolutionary theories on evolution and the relationship with religious wife, whose faith contradicts his work.”
Rather than the end of God, I’d say that Darwin’s book proved that the Bible and its likes (Talmud, Koran and so on…) aren’t the absolute truth. Creationism is clearly bullshit, but unfortunately it’s still kicking and alive, especially in the USA… May God save us from those stupid creationist bigots!
Anyway, for once, I’ll go watch this film with my mother in law (she’s an annoying creationist…)! I’ll be damn glad to see her frowning while watching the movie Creation.
By the way the movie could be retitled Origin in the USA according to IMDB, it’s probably to try to deflect criticism from the Creationist lobby…
