Moon Trailer

Moon Movie TrailerThe movie Moon, an hard-core sci fi movie directed by Duncan Jones and starring Sam Rockwell, got a trailer at long last (but not least!):

Moon Movie Trailer

MOON

with Sam Rockwell

Location: Moon Sarang Mining Base
Crew: 1
Contract: 3 years

Plot:
“Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He’s been a faithful employee for 3 long years. His home has been Selene, a moon base where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The precious gas holds the key to reversing the Earth’s energy crisis.

Isolated, determined and steadfast, Sam has followed the rulebook obediently and his time on the moon has been enlightening, but uneventful. The solitude has given him time to reflect on the mistakes of his past and work on his raging temper. He does his job mechanically, and spends most of his available time dreaming of his imminent return to Earth, to his wife, young daughter and an early retirement.

But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Selene, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things and feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him and the new recruit is eerily familiar.

Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It’s more than his contract that is set to expire.”

This trailer may trick some people into thinking that the movie Moon is the usual sci-fi show… Well, it isn’t: it’s an independent science-fiction movie directed by Duncan Jones (David Bowie’s son), and it does not shy away from silence from time to time. And like any real sci-fi masterpiece, the movie Moon is not that much about technology gimmicks: actually it definitely emphasizes the characters!

Moon will have a limited release on June 12, 2009 .

Love this Twilight New Moon picture showing Edward and Bella make such a nice couple. Really impatient to watch the movie New Moon.

The first pictures we had of Twilight 2, aka New Moon, have surfaced online. Actually those pictures are behind-the-scenes photos showing the set and actors during breaks. But still, Twilight fans can’t miss a sneak peek at the upcoming New Moon movie, so enjoy below those Twilight 2 pics:

Twilight 2 Plot – New Moon Synopsis:
“After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.”

It’s impressive how much Taylor Lautner bulk up to be fit for the role of Jacob Black the werewolf in the movie twilight 2!

But muscles won’t be enough for him to steal the show from Robert Pattinson who plays the role of Edward the romantic vampire. Even if Edward will have less screen time in the movie New Moon, I bet the scenes he will have will be much more significant than Jacob’s scenes!

beyond the cat fight over Robert Pattinson vs Taylor Lautner, I think that Peter Facinelli who portrays Dr. Carlisle Cullen is a really good fit for his role! I’d vote for him to have his own spin-off twilight movie.

The Twilight Saga New Moon, aka Twilight 2, will be released on November 20, 2009.

Pixar Movie UP

Pixar's UP MovieYou may watch below an international trailer of UP, the latest Disney Pixar movie;

Pixar UP International Trailer

Plot:
“By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.”

“We wanted more ‘Dumbo’ and less ‘Star Wars,’. In certain parts, it’s more of a feeling we’re going after than linear storytelling.”

Director Pete Docter

Peter Docter is quite right about the movie UP, it almost feels like Miyazaki’s movies. I don’t complain, but Pixar should stick to its own style.

Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian

This time there is no limit!

Plot:
“When the Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and renovations, the museum pieces are moved into federal storage at the famous Washington Museums. The centrepiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world’s largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone (Jon Bernthal)’s rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy’s ruby red slippers, Fonzie’s jacket from ‘Happy Days’, The still from ‘M*A*S*H’ and Archie Bunker’s lounge chair from ‘All in the Family.’ An evil Pharaoh will come to life.”
let’s hope that kids will get interested in History thanks to the Night at the Museum 2 and thanks to Ben Stiller.

Star Trek Spock

Star Trek SpockIn the new Star Trek movie Spock is played by both Zachary Quinto (Scylar from Heroes) and Leonard Nimoy (the original actor). Zachary Quinto plays the younger Spock while Leonard Nimoy now plays the old Spock.

But Zachary Quinto’s Spock isn’t the Spock we were used to, this new young Spock is quite off-balance indeed, and is not the cool-headed from Star Trek TOS.

Here below a new Star Trek movie clip showing Spock (Zachary Quinto) getting angry:

You will answer me.
The youngish Spock definitely wants Kirk and Scott to answer his questions.

Don’t worry Director JJ Abrams isn’t spitting on the original source material: everything fits in the plot, and at the end it shall be in order!

Men in Black 3 Movie

Illegal aliens from outer space are still hiding among us… Fortunately the Men in Black, the self-funded New York City-based agency that secretly monitors and regulates extraterrestrials’ activity on Earth, are here to keep things in order! (Why do I think that Men in Black is a metaphor for migration control?)

Sony has decided to go ahead with Men Black 3, they made the announcement at Showest. The third installment of the Men in Black movie series is tentatively scheduled for a release in 2011.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back for the Men in Black 3 movie? No confirmation though about Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprising their roles… But the word is that both would be interested to come back as Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Will Smith).

Let’s hope that Sony will manage to get script amazing enough to get both Smith and Jones to get back for Men in black 3!

Terminator Salvation TV Clips

Terminator 4 Movie with Christian Bale - terminator SalvationTerminator 4, aka Terminator Salvation, could have been a R–rated movie but it seems that McG had to go with a compromising PG13. But the movie Terminator 4 still looks deeply dark, in a way that makes it still a damn awesome movie:

We are outnumbered by machines…

I knew it was coming.

You and me we have been at war since even before I ever existed…

Plot:
“After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by John Connor (Christian Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.”
Those TV spots of terminator 4 are really thrilling! Don’t miss Terminator 4 on May 21, 2009!

Disease and danger.
James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) gets his first introduction to Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban).

JJ Abrams selected the cast quite well: the actors are really a good fit for their respective roles! I especially like the new Dr. McCoy: Urban is awesome in that scene!

The movie Star Trek will be released on May 8, 2009.

Deadpool Movie

You probably know by now that the Wolverine movie besides centering on the origins of Logan aka Wolverine is actually introducing us to other mutants especially Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.

Deadpool Spin-off Live Action Movie

Deadpool has quite a large following among comic book fans. And the super mutant is likely to get his own movie in a not-so-distant future. The word is that Marvel is definitely thinking about it.
Ryan Reynolds will probably reprise his role as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, unless he is eventually replaced by stuntman and actor Scot Adkins who was hired to replace Reynolds in the fight scenes.

Deapool
My name is Wade Wilson. I’m a mercenary. And I love what I do!

Deadpool is a crazy mercenary: he is maybe a bit of a villain, but he isn’t evil, he is just cynical and crazy. An explosive combination that makes his character so interesting.

This hypothetical Deapool movie has no script yet though. So what do you think a Deadpool movie should be about? Should the story pick up right after the events described in Wolverine?

Cal McCaffrey (Russell Crowe) has an off-the-record conversation with Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck).

I’m suprised by the great interaction between Russel Crowe and Ben Affleck on screen: I didn’t expect those two to get along so well, I was thinking there would be some ego competition, but it looks to be quite smooth, and it’s easy to get into the story actually.

Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark aka Iron man Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes aka War Machine

Actor Robert Downey Jr. talking about Iron Man 2:

“The film is almost entirely about character, and yet we still have twice as much action as we did last time, so it’s going to be nuts. Essentially ‘Iron Man 2’ is about looking behind the armor, or the armature, of a superhero. It’s one thing to say you’re Iron Man, it’s another thing to be fully ready to do that.”

The movie Iron Man 2 will be released on May 7, 2010.

Twilight 4 Breaking Dawn Movie

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Movie - Twilight 4 MovieIf you’re still wondering the answer if yes: there will be a Breaking Dawn movie based on the fourth book of the Twilight saga written by Stephenie Meyer. Summit Entertainment was smart enough to lock in the rights for all the Twilight sequels and the actors have signed on for all the movies. If everything goes as smoothly as planned with the production of New Moon and Eclipse, then the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn movie should be released in 2011.

Plot – Synopsis:

Twilight 4 Movie - Breaking Dawn“Bella and Edward are finally together: following their wedding they go in honeymoon to an island off the coast of Brazil. Over there Bella, still a human, got pregnant from her husband Edward, who is a vampire.
The crossbreed child to be born is cause of concern even before her birth: the werewolves feel the child could be a threat to them (putting Jacob , and even the vampires aren’t really at ease…
During childbirth Bella loses so much blood that she is on the verge of death. But Edward must fulfill his promise to make his wife Bella into a vampire in order to save her.
Will Edward and Bella be able to save their daughter?”

More information at: Breaking Dawn Trailer

Obviously Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will be back for the movie Twilight Break Dawn

Unfortunately, “as usual” with Summit Entertainment, it is hard to guess who could be the director of Twilight 4 Breaking Dawn. No need to worry though, because no matter what, we all know that Stephenie Meyer will act as the ultimate guardian of her masterpiece. And if need be, fans are here to help to keep things on track.

Below a video of Stephenie Meyer talking about the Breaking Dawn novel:

There are so many details and subplots in Breaking Dawn, that unfortunately a movie could not cover them all. So aside from the main plot, what do you think is absolutely necessary in the Twilight movie Breaking Dawn for it to be considered as faithful to the original source material?
