A new batch of pictures from the upcoming movie Star Trek, directed by Cloverfield director producer J.J. Abrams, have been unveiled to increase further the mounting buzz preceding the release of the first full Star Trek trailer in November:

Maybe a Romulan vessel, with Eric Bana as Nero in command, goes back into the past to get rid of Kirk (Chris Pine) before he becomes the Captain of the starship USS Enterprise… Will have to wait till may 2009 to see Star Trek in theaters, but fortunately, there will be at least a Star Trek trailer in front of Quantum of Solace.

Both are a bit effeminate on this picture: they are not as manly as the original actors William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy… But shall make do with them!

I have always thought, and I am not alone, that Daniel Craig and Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin look alike. Well, it does not get better for Daniel Craig: the latest poster of the movie Defiance which features Daniel Craig bears an even more striking resemblance with a photo of Vladimir Putin taken in Germany than the first Defiance poster! Judge by yourself:

Actually the resemblance goes beyond the simple physiognomy: Vladimir Putin was a Russian spy, he worked for the KGB and Daniel Craig is the new James Bond.

I think the Russian leader should hire Craig to interpret his role in a biography movie!
