Comments Off on Ender’s Game Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman
Sounds like Roberto Orci and his pal Alex Kurtzman are now involved, as Producers I guess, in the movie adaptation of Ender’s Game, the cult science-fiction novel by Orson Scott Card:
Plot of Rec Genesis:
“The action in REC Genesis encompasses the events of the first two films and after the sense of claustrophobia previously experiences. The action now takes place miles away from the original location and partly in broad daylight giving the film an entirely fresh yet disturbing new reality. The infection has left the building. In a clever twist that draws together the plots of the first two movies this third part of the saga also works as a decoder to uncover information hidden in the first two films and leaves the door open for the final installment the future REC Apocalypse.”
Director Paco Plaza revealed a bit more to El Pais:
“The main characters are Diego Martin and Leticia Dolera, there is a wedding, it’s a prequel, not everything we see will be subjective and recorded by cameras.”
Director Paco Plaza
Leticia Dolera played a reporter (pictured above) in the first REC movie. Will she reprise her role or play a brand new character?

Lionsgate seems determined to bring Hunger Games, the young-adult science-fiction novel by Suzanne Collins, to the big screen: they just announced that the film will be released on March 23, 2012. Director Gary Ross will helm the project based on a script written by Suzanne Collins herself and revised by Billy Ray.
Plot:
“Set in post-apocalyptic America, Hunger Games introduces 16-year-old heroine Katniss Everdeen, who must participate in a fight-to-the-death annual event called the Hunger Games. The battles are televised, and pit youths from each of the Capitol’s 12 Districts against each other.”
Hunger Games is the first in a trilogy of science fiction novels. So if the film performs, sequels are likely.

And a few pictures:

No Ordinary Family – NOF S1x14 – No Ordinary Double Standard
“After a friend is attacked, Stephanie tells Jim that she wants to join forces with him to help catch the perp. But when Jim informs Stephanie that he’s built for crime fighting – and she’s not – the competition is on to see which one of them can solve the case first.
Meanwhile, Daphne feels like Jim is invoking a double standard when he allows JJ to date a senior but won’t let her do the same, and Katie learns some disturbing news about Joshua – aka The Watcher.”
I hate it when they build up tension and just act like nothing happened in the following episode… So let’s hope it’s not the case here, and that this new episode of No Ordinary Family will count for something.
Anyway, the show is on break for now: the episode “No Ordinary Double Standard” will air Tuesday, February 8th on ABC.

The way Tron Legacy ended, it’s clear that Disney wanted to leave the door open for a sequel. Besides the film performed quite well in theaters, cashing in $331 million worldwide for a production budget estimated at $170 million. So I’m not so surprised to hear about the movie Tron 3 is likely under way. Well, still nothing official yet, but according to the online rumor, we may expect the upcoming DVD of Tron Legacy to feature a first teaser trailer of Tron 3.
Descriptions of three scenes from the teaser of Tron 3 have also emerged via AICN:
– a first scene would involve Bruce Boxleitner as Alan and Dan Shor as Ram
– a second scene with Quora (Olivia Wilde) who’s cornered by the press
– and another scene with only text screens, involving the Dilingers, father and son
I previously heard that Cillian Murphy did sign up to reprise his role as Edward Dillinger in a sequel to Tron Legacy.
Well, can’t wait to see this first trailer of Tron 3 the sequel to Tron Legacy.

The movie Bel Ami is the chronicle of a young man (Robert Pattinson)’s rise to power in Paris in the 1890s via his manipulation of the city’s most influential and wealthy women.

“What happens after ‘Avengers’ is what’s being discussed now. Obviously, you’ve heard about Doctor Strange. I’ve been a vocal fan of Strange for a long time. Black Panther, I think, I mentioned recently.”
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige
Well it seems Marvel is really considering to develop a live-action Black Panther movie for the big screen: a screenwriter has just been hired, Mark bailey (best known as a story editor for documentaries) got the job!
For those of you who are not familiar with the Black Panther, this superhero is the warrior king of Wakanda, a fictional technologically-advanced nation in the heart of Africa.
