This new Twilight movie won’t be directed by Chris Weitz (who’s still busy working on New Moon, and who’s likely to helm Breaking Dawn), but will be helmed by David Slade.

The cast of Twilight Eclipse will include: Kristen Stewart as Bella, Robert Pattinson as Edward, Taylor Lautner as Jacob, and also Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, Billy Burke, Chaske Spencer, Edi Gathegi, and Kirsten Prout.

While Director David Slade, the actors and the rest of the crew are working hard filming Twilight 3 Eclipse, a few spies are roaming around the set waiting for a scoop. And sometimes they manage to bring some interesting material, like this clip of the opening scene of Twilight Eclipse featuring Xavier Samuel as Riley:

The movie New Moon isn’t released yet, but you probably know that the Twilight crew is already working hard on Eclipse, the third opus of the Twilight Saga. If they’re filming so soon, it’s because Summit Entertainment want to release the next movie as soon as possible. That’s why Twilight 3, Aka Twilight Eclipse, will be release early next year, on June 30, 2010!

Expect lot of action with this new Twilight movie. And with Director David Slade helming the film, it’s probably gonna be gothically dark. But don’t worry the romance between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) is still the central theme, and as they’re slowly losing their inhibitions, it’s getting hot!

It’s been announced that the third Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga Eclipse, aka Twilight 3, will film from August 17th until October 31st at Vancouver Film Studios.

Director David Slade ( who once brought 30 Days of Night) is in charge of the project which is based on script by Melissa Rosenberg.

Twilight fans are worried about David Slade directing Twilight 3, can’t understand this: ok David Slade knows a lot about Vampire movie but not so sure that he can really seize and understand all the emotions from Stephenie Meyer’s books…

Anyway, Stephenie Meyers and her fans are here to remind him that he has to do a good job with the movie Twilight 3 Eclipse.

In a not so surprising movie Summit Entertainment is once again selecting a different director for Eclipse, the third movie in the Twilight Saga. This time Director David Slade’s got the job. So Chris Weitz because he is officially too busy delivering a great New Moon movie won’t be helming the movie Eclipse.

David Slade directed the vampire movie ‘30 Days of Night’ so the choice is not so odd. Here’s the lucky Spade:
But we can but wonder about his ability to render the full spectrum of emotions from Stephenie Meyer’s novel. Can’t say that ‘30 Days of Night” was romantic:

And romance is definitely a dimension not to miss in a Twilight movie!

Summit Entertainment is definitely optimistic regarding its movie adaptation of the Twilight saga written by Stephenie Meyer. The first Twilight movie in 2008 was a real jackpot. So we may understand the keen dedication of the production company to bring New Moon this 2009. Now, dear Twilight fans, fasten your seat belts because Summit is fast-tracking the movie Eclipse, aka Twilight 3: the release date of the movie Eclipse has been set for June 30, 2010!

The word is that Summit is rushing with the adaptation both to compound on the success of the first movie and to lock in a deal with Stephenie Meyer before the value of the franchise skyrockets again.

Plot – Synopsis:

“As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. We can bet that the movie will be titled The Twilight Saga Eclipse, following the decision made for New Moon’s title.

New Moon’s director Chris Weitz won’t be helming Twilight 3 because of conflicting schedules: he will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will start shooting.

But of course Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be back for this Eclipse movie, respectively as Edward the Vampire, Bella the undecided young lady, and Jacob the newly assumed Werewolf.
