Comments Off on Quentin Tarantino Inglourious Basterds
The Weinstein Company promoted Inglourious Basterds during the last American Idol show. Inglourious Basterds is an upcoming World War II action movie directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Brad Pitt. You may watch below this Inglourious Basterds clip show during American Idol:
We’ve got a Japanese trailer of Astro Boy. Well actually it is a teaser trailer of Atom Boy,the robot boy hero is originally called Tetsuwan Atomu in Japan, literally Mighty Atom, so actually we should call him Atom Boy!
Check below this new teaser trailer of Atom Boy, aka Astor Boy:
The Plot:
“Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving man’s expectations, our hero embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators, before he returns to save Metro City and reconcile with the father who had rejected him.”
Lucky Japanese: not only they’ve got the latest robots, but they also the best teasers when movies deal about robots! This Japanese teaser trailer of Astro Boy is awesome, it is much appealing than the material we’ve seen so far: it makes my day!

Comments Off on Aristomenis Tsirbas Battle for Terra
Director Aristomenis Tsirbas’ Battle for Terra which was finally picked up Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions is going to be released on May 1rst, 2009. You may enjoy below an extended preview clip of Battle for Terra:

First marker.
Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and Vittoria Vetra (Ayelet Zurer) find a clue in a room of statues.
Do you think that this movie sequel will perform as well as the first Da Vinci Code movie?
:)
Return to the past
Unlock the secret
To save the future!
The special effects in Harry Potter 6, aka Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, are going to be amazing judging from this trailer!
This Dumbledore isn’t making Harry Potter’s task easy by keeping so many secrets: the old man should have told everything to the young wizard from the start!
:)
In 1933 America’s most notorious criminal was finally brought to justice.
From Michael Mann
with Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard.
Movie Cast:
– Johnny Depp as John Dillinger: An American bank robber whose exploits dominated the press during what is sometimes referred to as the public enemy era, between 1931 and 1935.
– Christian Bale as Melvin Purvis: An FBI agent chosen by J. Edgar Hoover to lead a manhunt to catch Dillinger.
– Marion Cotillard as Billie Frechette: Dillinger’s torch singer girlfriend.
– Channing Tatum as Pretty Boy Floyd: An American bank robber and alleged killer.
Would not have expected so much action in the movie Public Enemies: I’m impressed by this this movie trailer. But I can but think of the Dark Knight every time I see Christian Bale in this movie: I’d even say that this is a Dark Knight transported back to the 1930’s and without masks… But still it’s damn enjoyable!
Location: Moon Sarang Mining Base
Crew: 1
Contract: 3 years
Plot:
“Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He’s been a faithful employee for 3 long years. His home has been Selene, a moon base where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The precious gas holds the key to reversing the Earth’s energy crisis.
Isolated, determined and steadfast, Sam has followed the rulebook obediently and his time on the moon has been enlightening, but uneventful. The solitude has given him time to reflect on the mistakes of his past and work on his raging temper. He does his job mechanically, and spends most of his available time dreaming of his imminent return to Earth, to his wife, young daughter and an early retirement.
But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Selene, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things and feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him and the new recruit is eerily familiar.
Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It’s more than his contract that is set to expire.”
This trailer may trick some people into thinking that the movie Moon is the usual sci-fi show… Well, it isn’t: it’s an independent science-fiction movie directed by Duncan Jones (David Bowie’s son), and it does not shy away from silence from time to time. And like any real sci-fi masterpiece, the movie Moon is not that much about technology gimmicks: actually it definitely emphasizes the characters!
Moon will have a limited release on June 12, 2009 .
:)
Plot:
“By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.”
“We wanted more ‘Dumbo’ and less ‘Star Wars,’. In certain parts, it’s more of a feeling we’re going after than linear storytelling.”
Director Pete Docter
Peter Docter is quite right about the movie UP, it almost feels like Miyazaki’s movies. I don’t complain, but Pixar should stick to its own style.
:)
In the new Star Trek movie Spock is played by both Zachary Quinto (Scylar from Heroes) and Leonard Nimoy (the original actor). Zachary Quinto plays the younger Spock while Leonard Nimoy now plays the old Spock.
But Zachary Quinto’s Spock isn’t the Spock we were used to, this new young Spock is quite off-balance indeed, and is not the cool-headed from Star Trek TOS.
Here below a new Star Trek movie clip showing Spock (Zachary Quinto) getting angry:
You will answer me.
The youngish Spock definitely wants Kirk and Scott to answer his questions.
Don’t worry Director JJ Abrams isn’t spitting on the original source material: everything fits in the plot, and at the end it shall be in order!
:)
Terminator 4, aka Terminator Salvation, could have been a R–rated movie but it seems that McG had to go with a compromising PG13. But the movie Terminator 4 still looks deeply dark, in a way that makes it still a damn awesome movie:
You and me we have been at war since even before I ever existed…
Plot:
“After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by John Connor (Christian Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.”
Those TV spots of terminator 4 are really thrilling! Don’t miss Terminator 4 on May 21, 2009!
;-P
Just juice me!
Chev Chelios (Jason Staham) is recharging his battery.
Here we go again.
Chev Chelios is running after his heart!
Prepare to die.
It’s not electricity that keeps Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) running, but rather box office success! And I bet there would still be room for a Crank 3 movie!
:)
You and me may have missed the surprise premiere of Star Trek but we still ge to enjoy those delightful new Star Trek clips that have just been released online:
Studying alien languages.
A slightly intoxicated Chris Pine as James T Kirk is hitting on Uhura (Zoe Saldana) in a local bar.
Disease and danger.
James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) gets his first introduction to Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban).
JJ Abrams selected the cast quite well: the actors are really a good fit for their respective roles! I especially like the new Dr. McCoy: Urban is awesome in that scene!
The movie Star Trek will be released on May 8, 2009.
:)
More preview clips of State of Play are now available:
I Will Shout This Thing From the…
Cal McCaffrey (Russell Crowe) has an off-the-record conversation with Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck).
I’m suprised by the great interaction between Russel Crowe and Ben Affleck on screen: I didn’t expect those two to get along so well, I was thinking there would be some ego competition, but it looks to be quite smooth, and it’s easy to get into the story actually.
Fire Missile now!
Mala tries to escape from a human ship with th help of Giddy the robot (voiced by David Cross)
Plot:
“A peaceful alien planet faces annihilation, as the homeless remainder of the human race sets its eyes on Terra. Mala, a rebellious Terran teenager, will do everything she can to stop it.”
If Mankind’s survival is really at stake I’d rather see Mankind annihilating those aliens than listening to some eco-pacifist-hippie feeling…
Anyway I eagerly await the movie Battle for Terra which is set to hit theaters on May 1rst, 2009.
;-P
