Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster will burn the road like never before!
By the way dear producers can we ask for more pretty babes in Fast and Furious 5 (yes, we know you’re thinking about a fifth Fast and Furious movie).
:)
Monsters vs Aliens is the latest Dreamworks movie, a marvelous 3D animated movie inspired by the sci-fi movies from the 1950’s. Here below two preview clips of Monsters vs Aliens:
Ginormica’s Orientation
General W.R. Monger introduces the secret Monster facility to the newly-arrived Ginormica.
What the flagnode!
Gallaxhar wants to take the quantonium from Ginormica’s body, but it won’t be as easy as the villain first thought.
Plot:
“When a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.”
The movie Monsters vs Aliens will hit theaters on March 27, 2009.

Not sure I should show this A UK TV spot of Dragonball: I’ve seen the movie and it’s such a let down… One may think that the movie will be good from watching this well cut TV spot of DB Evolution, but the truth is: Dragonball Evolution just s**ks!
Nothing much in DB Evolution, here a summary (spoiler!):
Training – Goku and Chichi flirting – Gran Pa is killed – Goku Meets Bulma and Roshi then Yamcha – Goku and Chichi flirting – Piccolo is defeated by Goku in just a very short scene…
A crappy movie that feels low-cost (how can it feel low cost with so much CGI by the way? how is such a feat possible?), with a really superficial plot that’s far far away from the original manga…
Believe me: keep your bucks for an other movie, wait for this one to air on cable if you’re still curious about it. What a let down!
:-{
Disney Pixar has coined a new pun by releasing some UPisodes (contraction of UP and episode). Those clips of UP are promotional material and aren’t clips from the movie. But still they are funny to watch:
New upisodes will be released and we’ll list them here.
I think there is a conspiracy at Disney Pixar for us to believe that the future of mankind will be a few sizes larger: in Wall-E the remnants of Mankind were all like chubby worms, and it looks like that Russel is the missing link…
;-P
The new international trailer of Crank 2 High Voltage, the movie sequel to Crank with Jason Statham, is definitely a must-see! Much better than the MPAA-approved US version.
Actor Dwayne Johnson got the lead role in Race to Witch Mountain, an upcoming sci-fi movie directed by Andy Fickman, remake of the original 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain. The film hits theaters on Friday 13, March 2009.
Preview clips of Race to Witch Mountain have popped up:
Nuit Job
Pit Stop

I may have compared the upcoming DB Evolution movie to Smallville, even talking about a “smallvillesque” that would have cursed the movie from the start… Well that was not fair for Smallville: I should compare this Dragonball movie to the Power Rangers too!
Just check those disappointing preview clips of Dragonball the movie:
Goku (Justin Chatwin) is battling with Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat) and his energy flow inadvertently target Bulma (Emmy Rossum)
Piccolo and Mai search the Dragonballs
Goku, Roshi and Bulma trapped because of Yamcha
Chichi (Jamie Chung) is in a fight against Mai (Eriko Tamura) who morphed into Chichi’s look-alike.
Let’s try to be positive though: I’m definitely a fan of Eriko Tamura who plays teh role of Mai ( who is a chief enforcer of Piccolo’s and a shapeshifter) from now on! Can’t believe I didn’t notice that she is so gorgeous till now!
Here a promotional picture featuring Mai and Piccolo (who went green at long last): (Click on the picture to enlarge it.)
I’m fan of Eriko Tamura but even her can’t save this soulless adaptation of the manga Dragonball! So it’s a relief that the movie won’t be much longer than 80 minutes.
:-P
Hugh Jackman had a double hat on this new Wolverine movie: he was both lead actor and producer. So, it was an ideal occasion for him to put forward his vision of Wolverine which is much closer to the comic canon than what we may have seen in the previous X-Men movies:
“I’m not mad about it, but I thought he had gotten a bit soft. I thought we had gotten away from the essence of who Wolverine really is: a bad (dude) who wants to live his own life.
[…]
The character has always reminded me of Dirty Harry or Han Solo. He’s a good guy, not a nice guy. He’s got a lot of flaws, which I think is what people find so attractive about him and the X-Men. He’s struggling with who he is and what he wants. He was one of the comics’ first anti-heroes.”
Hugh Jackman is epitomizing the role of Logan / Wolverine to such an extent, that if I ever meet him I’d almost expect him to show me his adamantium claws. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine rules!
:)
Acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning has officially joined the cast and will play the Volturi Jane in the Twilight Saga New Moon. The rumor was online since a long, but nice to have an official confirmation from Summit Entertainment.
In the universe of Twilight, the Volturi are like law enforcers among the Vampires: they are much respected, end even feared because of their mind control tricks
So Dakota Fanning will play the role of Jane, one of the prize members of the Volturi Guard and one of their highest ranking guards, a sadistic person and a pet of Aro a former Volturi leader. She seems rather bitter and easily justifies inflicting pain on anyone with her power. Jane has a twin brother named Alec and they both reside in Volterra, Italy.
Here below an interview of Dakota Fanning about her role as Jane (it was made just before she was confirmed for the role):
Good that they chose Dakota Fanning: I think that this young-but-well-experienced actress is a nice addition to the cast of this New Moon movie.
Here’s a first look at Dakota Fanning as Jane:

And here’s an interview of Dakota Fanning about her role as Jane in Twilight New Moon:
Johnny Depp’s career may have started with the role of a cop in 21 Jump Street, but it seems that ditch this early character for more villainous roles afterward: being a pirate in POTC, a serial killer in Sweeney Todd. He confirms his interest for dark characters in Public Enemies in which he plays the role of John Dillinger the gangster from the 1930s. Here below the first official trailer of Public Enemies:
Christian Bale on the other hand sticks to to the lawful side with roles like Batman, John Connor in Terminator, and FBI Agent Purvis in Public Enemies.
That’s probably why Johnny Depp is way better than Christian Bale!
:)
The upcoming movie Harry Potter 6 will unveil the origins of Lord Voldemort, we will learn how he fell for the dark side. The flashback will be introduced to Harry potter thanks to Dumbledore’s memory capsules. Here below the latest trailer of Harry Potter and the half Blood Prince:
The production team behind Harry Potter does not mind some nepotism: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin who plays the role of Tom Riddle, the child who becomes Lord Voldemort, is actually the 10-year-old nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who played the adult Voldemort in previous Harry Potter movies.
:)
Sam Worthington is playing the role of Marcus Wright a cyborg Terminator who strongly believes that he’s human and gets genuinely shocked when he learns about his own robotic attributes from John Connor (Christian Bale)…
:)
J.J. Abrams is bringing us a mind blowing Star Trek movie.Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have enlisted in Starfleet respectively as James T. Kirk and Spock the Vulcan. Here below the latest Star Trek trailer released by Paramount Pictures:
In the role of the main villain of this new Star Trek movie we have Nero (Eric Bana) the Romulan who time-traveled to tweak History before Kirk rises to fame.
:)
The latest batch of preview clips of the Watchmen movie is rather mind blowing, literally. Especially the first two clips, featuring Jon Osterman (Billy Crudup) and his alter-ego the super vigilante Dr. Manhattan:
Time Lock.
Jon Osterman (Billy Crudup) is trapped inside the experimental chamber. The event will transform him into Doctor Manhattan.
The Superman exists and he is American!
The reborn Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup) is introduced to the world.
