Dragonball Evolution Clip
Fox isn’t that deaf after all. The latest Dragonball TV spot that premiered in Japan shows they’ve been working hard to save their investment from an epic fail: some of the details that fans pointed out in the past have been fixed. Example: Piccolo is definitely green by now.
Watch below the latest Dragonball TV spot:
This new clip looks much better than what we’ve been served before. But there is still a feel of cheapness and a smallvillesque impression that hinder me from accepting this film as the movie adaptation of Dragonball….
I don’t deny it will be entertaining, but it won’t be much more… A real Dragonball movie would have blown us alll away! But I bet a reboot will be done in the next five or ten years. Hope keeps alive, doesn’t it?

Monsters vs Aliens Crossover Commercial for SoBe
Ray Lewis, Matt Light, and Justin Tuck dance with the SoBe Lizards and the cast of Monsters vs. Aliens are partying together in a crossover Superbowl commercial for a 0-calorie beverage:
Monsters vs Aliens meet SoBe Lizards in Superbowl Crossover
SoBe Lifewater is one of those 0-calorie beverages that taste like shit but are well marketed (so it sells quite well).
I don’t care much about the beverage, but I must admit that the SoBe Lizards look amazingly cool!

The Year One Movie Trailer
The movie trailer of The Year One, upcoming by comedy directed by Harold Ramis starring Jack Black and Michael Cera, has aired during the Super Bowl:
The Year One is a comedy set in a biblical environment. The whole thing has a Monti Python feel according to Jack black.
Some religious bigots may get pissed off by The Year One, but Holy Crap, with Jack Black in the cast, I bet the movie is going to be damn funny.

UP Movie
UP is the latest Disney Pixar movie that should be released on May 29, 2009. Here below the UP trailer that will be shown during the Superbowl 2009:
Plot:
“The story of Up follows Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) who spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But one day, Carl finds himself to be 78-years old and his life has seemingly passed him by, until he befriends a chubby 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. The two opposites match up for thrilling adventures as they encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains, and all the terrifying creatures that wait in the jungle.”
I doubt that the movie UP will eprform as well Wall-E but it still looks good.

Year One Movie Clip
Director Harold Ramis is digging in Biblical times to bring us The Year One, a surprising comedy movie. The film is starring Jack Black and Michael Cera.
Here below a preview clip of the Year One:
Plot:
“When a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Black and Cera) are banished from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world.” (Source: IMDb)
Cast:
– Jack Black as Zed
– Michael Cera as Oh
– Olivia Wilde as Princess Inanna
– June Raphael as Maya
– David Cross as Cain
– Paul Rudd as Abel
– Juno Temple as Eema
– Oliver Platt as High Priest
– Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Isaac
– Hank Azaria as Abraham
Black warned viewers expecting a comedy along the lines of Ghostbusters or Knocked Up, that the style of the film is much more along the lines of the Monty Python movies. The preview clip of Year One confirms indeed that Year One is a combination of Jack Black’s own comedy skills with some Monti Python influence (which plays with absurdity).
You can sign me up for The Year One!
