Looks like we have a hardcore sci fi thriller movie ahead with Moon. The film is directed by Duncan Jones and is starring Sam Rockwell with Kevin Spacey lending his voice to some AI robot. The movie Moon should be released in 2009.
Thanks to Bloody Disgusting (here) we have some pictures of the movie Moon with Sam Rockwell:

Plot:
“Astronaut Sam Bell has a quintessentially personal encounter while stranded on the moon for a three-year period.” (Source: IMDb)
It looks dark like the hard core sci-fi movies from the 1970’s and the 1980’s: watching this sci-fi movie will be like going back to my childhood besides going to the Moon!

The official trailer of Race to Witch Mountain has been released by Walt Disney Pictures:
Race to Witch Mountain Trailer
The siblings Sara (ANNASOPHIA ROBB) and Seth (ALEXANDER LUDWIG) have some myterious paranormal powers. But they still need a nanny: and that’s Jack Bruno (DWAYNE JOHNSON) the taxi driver’s job!
I think that the movie Race To Witch Mountain is a good film to educate children about science fiction: they watch it in their childhood and are addicted to sci fi once grown up!

You may see a few movie stills from The Uninvited at:
Why a ghost would torment such pretty girls? Crazy evil ghosts!

God bless J.J. Abrams! He brings the franchise back to life and opens the universe of Star Trek to a whole new public! One can already fairly bet that there will be Star Trek movie
sequels directed by J.J. Abrams.

Race to Witch Mountain is an upcoming sci-fi movie, remake of the original 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain. This new version, using a script by Matt Lopez, is a modern re-imagining of the 1975 movie. The film is directed by Andy Fickman and is starring Dwayne Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, Alexander Ludwig, Ciaran Hinds, and Carla Gugino. Race to Witch Mountain should be released in March 2009.
A bootleg trailer of Race To Witch Mountain has leaked online via Trailer Addict:
Update: Official Trailer of Race to Witch Mountain Released
Prepare for an adventure that’s out of this world.
An interesting sci-fi movie, even if Dwayne Johnson is quite unlikely in the role of a taxi driver turned nanny…

Bolt is an upcoming 3D animated movie by Disney. It will be released this week. Let’s get some facts about the three main heroes of the movie bolt:
Bolt is a nice dog, but the hamster Rhino is so cute! Disney still knows how to create lovely characters.
:)
Director Henry Selick, who once brought us The Nightmare Before Christmas, has been working on Coraline, an upcoming animated movie based on a children novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. It scheduled to be released on February 6, 2009.
Here below a new Coraline poster which is much more colorful than the former versions:

I suppose the marketing team pushed for showing up some colors, the precedent promotional material was indeed a bit too dark.
:)

Director Tim Blake Nelson has been working on an upcoming titled Leaves of Grass which is based on a script he wrote himself. This upcoming comedic thriller movie that should is starring Edward Norton, Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Sarandon, and Keri Russell. Leaves of Grass should be released in 2009.
Plot:
“An Ivy League professor (Norton) is lured back to his Oklahoma hometown, where his twin brother (Norton), a small-time pot grower, has concocted a scheme to take down a local drug lord (Dreyfuss).” (Source: IMDb)
Here below a first look at Edward Norton in the movie Leaves of Grass, in which he plays the role of twins:

I think Edward Norton had no problem playing a dual role as the two identical twin brothers (one of whom is an Ivy League philosophy professor and the other is a brilliant marijuana growing career criminal): he’s got the spirit of Fight Club and has been able to tame the green beast Hulk after all!

One may have a better look at Gort the alien robot in the new Day The Earth Stood Still International movie trailer:
The Day The Earth Stood Still International Trailer
Gort the robot rules: don’t even think of bugging him! If you’d ever dare to bug him then he would stare at you like you were a goat! So, better keep quiet in his presence, after all, even Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) seems to fear him…

A few movie stills from Last Chance Harvey, an upcoming romantic movie starring Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, are available at:
Hope to be as fit as Dustin Hoffman in my old age! The man is still kicking and alive, and even handsome.

An official trailer of Underworld 3 is available since a few weeks. But did you see the bootleg underworld 3 trailer that leaked online back in August? This cut of the Rise of the lycans trailer was slightly different:
Have a look below:
Rhona Mitra is playing the role of Sonja, the daughter of the powerful vampire elder, Viktor.

A second poster for My Bloody Valentine 3D, upcoming horror movie directed by Patrick lussier:

When Tom (played by Jensen Ackles) goes back in his small town city for Valentine’s Day it is not just love that’s waiting…

Men Who Stare at Goats is an upcoming movie based on the book of the same name written by Jon Ronson. It is about the US Army’s exploration of New Age concepts and the potential military applications of the paranormal during the war in Iraq. The funny title refers to crazy attempts to kill goats by staring at them.
The film is directed by Grant Heslov and is starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. The movie Men Who Stare at Goats should be released in December 2009.
Here below a first look at George Clooney as psychic soldier Lyn Cassady in Men Who Stare At Goats:

Plot:
“A desperate reporter (Ewan McGregor) in Iraq stumbles upon the story of a lifetime when he meets Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), who claims to be a former member of the U.S. Army’s First Earth Battalion, a secret U.S. military psychic unit that employs paranormal powers in their missions. Bridges will play Bill Django, the founder of the psychic soldier program and Lyn’s mentor. Spacey will play Larry Hooper, a former psychic soldier who is running a prison camp in Iraq.”
The premise of this movie sounds strange and funny. Not sure they will play on the comedy tone though, but anyway I am sure that George Clooney will mesmerize us with his performance: I’m already mesmerized by his dorky mustache. Looking forward to see Men Who Stare at Goats!

Aging backward is no myth: at least among the stars…. Just look at Madonna!
More seriously, Director David Fincher is like a good wine: he gets better with age. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button looks like a real masterpiece.
