The best summary I ever heard for The Spirit so far is from Frank Miller, Director of the movie, here what he said about the Spirit:

“The character has a terrifying side to him. This is a man who’s died and came back to life. So it twists into fantasy. And of course there are tons of women in it. There have to be — it’s The Spirit. They’re all in love with him, and he’s in love with all of them. You might say he’s a bit of a slut.”

I don’t get bored of sci fi movies! If only there were more of them! On TV there is Battlestar Galactica, but have to wait until 2009 to know the end of the story… At least Babylon AD is only one feature movie.

This new poster is more likely to catch the attention of children. This design shift is probably the sign of a surge in the merchandising strategy. Well, those 3D bugs look better than the real ones… So I could buy a “teddy fly” for my son.

I think they are over-focusing on Vin Diesel in this trailer. Are they thinking that the American audience can’t appreciate the sci fi storyline for itself?

Babylon Babies, the novel by Georges Dantec the movie is based on, was really great. I really hope Babylon AD has been able to adapt the best part of the book.
