Jonah Hill 21 Jump Street

21 Jump Street MovieActor Jonah Hill gave an update to ComingSoon about the upcoming 21 Jump Street movie he’s involved in:

21 Jump Street Trailer

“Audiences are not expecting what it’s going to be. It’s not a parody of the show. I’m not playing Johnny Depp’s character… I’m not saying I’m Johnny Depp. I’m not playing his character. It’s a group of people that go back to high school to deal with a drug problem. To deal with crime in high school. I really love the ‘Back to the Future’ moment of that where it’s getting to relive a certain period of your life… It’s a comedy with really cool action. We’re not doing something serious like ‘Miami Vice.’ But it’s not a parody. It’s a funny movie with a lot of great action and a real story. I’ve been saying that it’s like a John Hughes movie with ‘Bad Boys’ style action.
[..]
There might be a couple of surprises in there… The Chapel’s there. There will be stuff from the show”

Jonah Hill

21 Jump Street, a comedy? Really? Come on, 21 Jump Street was a great cop show in its own genre, but it sure wasn’t a comedy series! Why does he need to change that? I’m a bit lost after reading Jonah Hill’s words… I was rather glad when I heard about this movie adaptation, but now, I’m afraid they’re going to MacGruberize my dear 21 Jump Street! Let’s hope for a miracle then!
;-P

Joe Jonhston Jurassic Park 4

Jurassic Park IVIn an interview given to the BoxOffice Magazine, Director Joe Jonhston briefly talked about Jurassic Park 4:

Jurassic Park 4 Trailer

Joe Johnston - Jurassic Park 4

“Well, there is going to be a Jurassic Park IV. And it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve seen. It breaks away from the first three—it’s essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy. It’s going to be done in a completely different way. That’s pretty much all I can tell you. […] If you think of the first three as a trilogy, number four would be the beginning of a second trilogy.”

Director Joe Jonhston

Good to have a confirmation that there will be Jurassic Park 4, but when does filming start? Hope he will give more details about Jurassic Park 4 soon!

Joe Carnahan A-Team

A-TeamNew pictures of the A-Team, the upcoming action movie directed by Joe Carnahan, have been released by Fox:

The cast of the A-Team includes Liam Neeson as John ‘Hannibal’ Smith, Sharlto Copley as Capt. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, and Quinton Rampage Jackson as Sgt. ‘B.A.’ Baracus.

Todd Phillips Due Date

Due Date MovieDirector Todd Phillips who brought us the Hangover last year is working on Due Date, an upcoming comedy starring Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis.

Due Date Pictures

Take a look to those new pictures of Due Date:

(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)

Plot:
“The plot of Todd Phillips’ Due Date focuses on two men: a highly strung expectant father (Downey, Jr.) and an aspiring actor (Galifianakis) on a cross country road trip so the father can arrive in time to see his child’s birth.”

Doesn’t seem like the road trip ahead of Robert Downey Jr in the movie Due Date is going to be a smooth journey! I guess Zach Galifianakis is to be blamed for Downey’s injury…

Do you think the dog seen on the picture above will travel along Downey and Galifianakis in the movie Due Date?

Darren Bousman Mother's Day

New pictures of Mother’s Day, an upcoming remake of the 1980 horror movie of the same name:

Mother’s Day is directed by Darren Bousman (who once brought us Saw II, III and IV) and is starring Jaime King, Deborah Ann Woll, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Shawn Ashmore, and Rebecca De Mornay.

Joe Johnston Captain America

CaptainThanks to the Box Office Magazine we may learn a bit more about Director Joe Johnston’s take on Captain America, the upcoming live-action movie that will be released in July 2011:

Captain America directed by Joe Johnston

“It is influenced by the comic book, but it goes off in a completely different direction. It’s the origin story of Captain America. It’s mostly period—there are modern, present-day bookends on it—but it’s basically the story of how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America. The great thing about Captain America is he’s a super hero without any super powers. Which is why this story, among the hundreds of super hero stories, appealed to me the most. He can’t fly, he can’t see through walls, he can’t do any of that stuff. He’s an every man who’s been given this amazing gift of transformation into the perfect specimen—the pinnacle of human perfection.
How does that affect him? What does that mean for him emotionally and psychologically?”

Director Joe Johnston

Sounds like Joe Johnston (who doesn’t look like a comic-book fan…) did some research about Captain America! And I’m glad his grasps of the character’s personality will be a real boon for the film! Impatient to see his take on Captain America!

Sherlock Holmes Movie Sequel

Sherlock Holmes 2 - Sherlock Holmes Movie SequelWarner Bros must have been more than satisfied with the box-office success of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: they’re now fast-tracking Sherlock Holmes 2!

Sherlock Holmes 2 Trailer

Shooting of the movie Sherlock Holmes 2 will indeed start this summer. Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law will be back respectively as Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. And Director Guy Ritchie will most likely helm this movie sequel to Sherlock Holmes.

The plot of Sherlock Holmes 2 hasn’t been announced yet, but I guess Professor Moriarty, the shadow of the first film, will be the main villain of the sequel. According to the rumor Actor Brad Pitt may play the role of Moriarty.

Renesmee in Twilight Breaking Dawn Movie

Renesmee - Breaking Dawn MovieProducer Wyck Godfrey told the LA Times that filming of Twilight Breaking Dawn would start this fall 2010. So the first part of Breaking Dawn will most likely be released in Summer 2011.

Twilight Breaking Dawn To Start Filming in Fall 2010

He also talked about Renesmee, the baby daughter of Bella and Edward:

“I keep having visions of ‘Benjamin Button’ in my head. It’s certainly going to be visual effects in some capacity along with an actor. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a full CG creation, but it also may be a human shot on a soundstage that then is used to shrink down. I don’t know. We need a director. When we get a director, that director will need to come with a point of view of how they want to tackle it.”

Producer Wyck Godfrey

I definitely want to watch the behind-the-scenes of twilight Breaking Dawn later on!

Transformers 3 Filming Starts in May

Transformers 3Thanks to Deadline Hollywood we learned that filming of Transformers 3 should start in May 2010: Shia Labeouf has recently wrapped Oliver Stone’s ‘Wall Street 2 and is now getting ready for Transformers 3.

Transformers 3 Trailer

The plot of Transformers 3 hasn’t been revealed yet, but Director Michael Bay has been teasing the fans saying that Transformers 3 will show more of Bumblebee and that it will develop the robot characters generally:

And Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said that the giant Unicron won’t show up any soon, but he praised the Mini-Crons stating that they’re really cool.

The movie Transformers is set to be released on July 1, 2011 .

Spiderman Reboot

Spiderman Movie RebootIn a surprising movie Sony has announced that they’re going to reboot the Spiderman movie Franchise and that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire won’t be on board!

Spiderman 4 Reboot

According to the rumor the movie Spiderman 4 blew up because because Director Sam Raimi and Sony were at odds over what villain should show up in the new Spiderman movie ad because Sony is helbent on going 3D while Raimi wasn’t much enthusiast about the new technology…

Well, I don’t care if Sam Raimi is fired and I won’t cry over Sony replacing Tobey Maguire, but rebooting the franchise? Seriously? Don’t want to see the origins of Spiderman again… Even in 3D… Or they need to deliver a really awesome plot! But there is some hope: I heard that the script for the Spiderman reboot has been written by James Vanderbilt (they’re going to use a back-up script written some time ago).

More information about the Spiderman reboot movie soon!
:/

Vin Diesel Fast and Furious 6

Fast and Furious 6 MovieVin Diesel dropped on his FB page that F&F 5 won’t be the last Fast and Furious movie: Fast and Furious 6 is quite likely to be produced indeed! Here’s the message Vin Diesel left on his wall:

Fast and Furious 6 Trailer

“If 2009’s ‘Fast and Furious’ was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is Chapter 2 and chapter 3.”

Actor Vin Diesel

The way Vin Diesel is describing it, it sounds like Fast and Furious 6 would be Part 2 of a two-part direct movie sequel to Fast and Furious 4.

This means that Dom Toretto (the character played by Vin Diesel) will manage, with the help of his friend to escape from prison in F&F 5. From there, he’s likely to go abroad I guess, which hopefully will close the loop from Tokyo Drift: I bet indeed that the movie Fast and Furious 6 will explain how and why Dom went to Japan!

We should get more details about Fast and Furious 6 soon!
:)

Avatar Screenplay

The full screenplay is now available online thanks to 20th Century Fox, what a gift for the fans James Cameron’s Avatar!

They’re sharing the script because they’re aiming at the Awards.
