Twilight fans have been wondering about the release date of the trailer of Twilight 4 breaking Dawn since quite a long. Well there’s now reason to hope it’s for soon. Sergio Sa Leitao who’s president of RioFilme, the Brazilian state-funded production company that helps with filming the honeymoon in Brazil, revealed indeed via twitter that the movie trailer of Twilight Breaking Dawn will air during the MTV Movie Awards 2011 (on Sunday, June 5, 2011):
Update – From what I heard the first trailer of Twilight Breaking Dawn will include the following scenes among others:
– Bella and Edward strolling and kissing in the crowded streets of Lapa
– The two stepping onto a docked boat and taking off for Isle Esme
– Filming inside of Casa em Paraty (“Isle Esme” in the movie)
– Bella and Edward relaxing beachside
– Romance at the waterfall
You probably know that Summit Entertainment has decided to split Breaking Dawn into two movies. Producer Wyck Godfrey now reveals how they’re splitting the story:
“We basically want to take the audience through the emotional part of Bella’s journey as she becomes a vampire. The first part will cover the wedding, the honeymoon and the birth.”
Producer Wyck Godfrey
So I guess we’ll see Edward (Robert Pattinson) biting Bella (Kristen Stewart) but that will have to wait for Breaking Dawn Part 2 to really see Bella as a vampire.
:)
That’s Bella (Kristen Stewart)’s hand: wondering why she’s holding feathers? Well she’s having a really good time with her new husband Edward (Robert Pattinson).
:)
*** THE AMAZON COVEN
– Tracey Heggins as Senna
– Judi Shekoni as Zafrina
Among the oldest vampires in the world, Senna and Zafrina are descendants of an ancient Amazonian tribe. They have lived outside of civilization for centuries and therefore make no attempt to keep up a human facade. Though they drink human blood, the Amazons have long been allies of Carlisle.
*** THE EGYPTIAN COVEN
– Omar Metwally as Amun
– Andrea Gabriel as Kebi
– Rami Malek as Benjamin
– Angela Sarafyan as Tia
The Egyptian Coven consists of Amun, Kebi, Benjamin, and Tia, with Amun as the leader. It is stated that even though they are not a biological family, they could pass for one. Amun is extremely protective of his family and fearful of Aro.
*** THE IRISH COVEN
– Marlane Barnes as Maggie
– Lisa Howard as Siobhan
– Patrick Brennan as Liam
The Irish Coven, a relatively young group, was founded by Siobhan and Liam, but Maggie’s talent made her an important element of it. They are not vegetarian but they are civilized.
*** THE ROMANIAN COVEN
– Noel Fisher as Vladimir
– Guri Weinberg as Stefan
The Romanian Coven is one of the oldest covens in the world and they were the ruling vampire family until they were unseated by the Volturi. For that reason they harbor a centuries old resentment of the Italian coven.
*** THE AMERICAN NOMADS
– Lee Pace as Garrett
– Toni Trucks as Mary
– Bill Tangradi as Randall
– Erik Odom as Peter
– Valorie Curry as Charlotte
Turned into a vampire during the Revolutionary War, Garrett has chosen to live a nomadic existence, wandering the world on his own. Garrett has never lost the rebellious spirit of his human life, and loves a good fight, always rooting for the underdog. Though not a vegetarian, Garrett is among Carlisle’s closest and oldest friends.
Mary and Randall are American nomadic vampires.
Peter and Charlotte are nomadic vampires and mates. They were created during the aftermath of the Southern Vampire Wars, in which Jasper was a key player. They have remained friends with Jasper ever since.
*** THE EUROPEAN NOMADS
– Joe Anderson as Alistair
A nomadic vampire from England, Alistair has a misanthropic, brooding personality and a deep mistrust of all authority. Although he counts Carlisle as his closest acquaintance, he doesn’t visit more than once a century.
Author Stephenie Meyer just confirmed that Mackenzie Foy, a doll-faced 9-year-old newcomer, will play as Renesmee Cullen in the upcoming twilight Breaking Dawn movie:
“Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy. She’s an amazing young actress and I’m excited to work with her.”
Stephenie Meyer
Renesmee is the half-vampire half-human hybrid born out of Edward and Bella’s love. She’s a kind of super-baby: she rapidly grows both mentally and physically, able to speak only seven days after her birth. I guess they will also use CGI then.
:)
“Hi Y’all! Sorry I haven’t checked in for a while. Been immersed in the world of Breaking Dawn. I’ve been working very closely with our director Bill Condon, whose input has been SO great. He understands story, structure and character as only a fellow writer can, but he also has fantastic visual ideas. And he’s not… shying away from anything! Sex, birth, feathers, blood… it’s all in there. More later!”
Scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg
Glad to hear that Melissa Rosenberg and Director Bill Condon get along well. And it sounds like they intend to be faithful as possible to Stephenie Meyer’s novel.
:)
If you read the books of the twilight Saga you already know that Bella and Edward will have a baby in Twilight 4, aka Breaking Dawn. The birth scene is really intense, and Twilight fans really don’t want that scene to be scrapped. Well, Summit Entertainment heard them, here’s what Producer Wyck Godfrey said:
“My wife is an OB-GYN so we should bring her on set to make sure that if Edward is going to do an oral Cesarean, he really needs to make the proper incision with his teeth.
[…]
I think the one thing that we’ve done that we’ve really done in all the films is keep them very subjective and keep them from Bella’s point of view. So the conversations we’ve had with Bill, is that we’ll try to do something similar here; you’re with Bella’s perspective and her point of view of what’s taking place in the rush around her, as she’s in intense pain. Not so focused, objectively, on her body and his body and that. So I think it’ll be something like that, in terms of trying to make the audience experience and feel the confusion, almost, of what’s happening to her.”
Producer Wyck Godfrey
I guess we’ll see Edward’s bloody mouth, but not much… Anyway, I know Author Stephenie Meyer will be around when they will film the birth scene so there’s no need to worry: they will stick to the book!
Part 1 of the movie Twilight Breaking Dawn will be released on November 18, 2011.
:)
Filming locations of Breaking Dawn, aka Twilight 4, have been officially announced by Summit Entertainment: Director Bill Candon and the crew of the Twilight will be shoot the film in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Vancouver, Canada.
Actor Robert Pattinson, who plays the role of the vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga, talked about Breaking Dawn aka Twilight 4 which will be directed by Bill Condon:
“I’m glad that it’s Bill Condon. I love his stuff. I haven’t seen the script yet but I am fearful about the series’ end. It’s such a great security blanket. It’s like a net. You can afford to make mistakes when you have another Twilight film to make. After that, I guess you’re on your own.
[…]
I’m playing a dad in some scenes in Breaking Dawn and I’m portraying one in a movie I’m doing now as well. I’m terrified about doing it. I don’t know what I’m going to do when it comes to those scenes. I’ve been complaining so much about having the makeup on and contact lenses.”
Actor Robert Pattinson
Yep, that’s right: Robert Pattinson is going to be father in the movie Twilight Breaking Dawn. His wife Bella (Kristen Stewart) will give birth to Renesmee, a really special baby girl.
:)
We’ve got the release date of Breaking Dawn, the last opus of the Twilight Saga: Summit Entertainment will release twilight Breaking Dawn on November 18, 2011. No official confirmation yet that Breaking Dawn will be a two-parter, but I suspect this to be a trick to generate more buzz… I’m quite sure they will split Breaking Dawn in two films.
Director Bill Condon has been hired to helm Breaking Dawn. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will of course reprise their roles as Edward, Bella and Jacob.
Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland,
I just want to say hello to all of you and let you know that I’m stoked to be getting underway on the adventure of making BREAKING DAWN. As you’ve probably heard, I’ve been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit – who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right.
I’m pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I’ve read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine’s and Chris’s movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine’s notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz’s companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk – a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for “newborn” status in the universe you’ve been living inside for a few years now, but a guy’s gotta start somewhere.
Like many of you, I’ve always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid. But that alone hadn’t been enough to get me interested in making a vampire movie, even though my early screenwriting and directing efforts grew out of a great love for horror movies and thrillers. Since making GODS AND MONSTERS thirteen years ago, however, I’ve been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones.
The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don’t think it’s difficult to see why. For me, her characters are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern. Rooted in a beautiful, real landscape with a great sense of place, Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Forks/La Push menagerie, experience emotions that are primal, and universal: desire, despair, jealousy – and it all comes to fruition in BREAKING DAWN. This is a final chapter in the best sense; not just wide in scope and scale, but emotionally charged and intense throughout.
I’m a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristen, Robert, and Taylor, and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys. Really, what could be more fun than that?
Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section below, and I’ll do my best to answer them. I hope that this will be the first of many occasions I’ll get to check in with you as we set to work bringing BREAKING DAWN to the screen. I am excited and grateful to have all of you alongside me for my TWILIGHT journey.
All best,
Bill Condon
P.S. Answer #1: No, there won’t be any musical numbers
Dear Bill Condon, you’d better get it right, you don’t want to disappoint Twilight fans, do you?
;-P
Director Bill Condon (who once brought us Dreamgirls) has been hired by Summit Entertainment to helm Breaking Dawn, the last opus of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. The film is quite likely to be split in two parts, and I guess Bill Condon will helm both.
“I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience.”
Director Bill Condon
Plot of Twilight Breaking Dawn:
“Bella and Edward are finally together: following their wedding they go in honeymoon to an island off the coast of Brazil. Over there Bella, still a human, got pregnant from her husband Edward, who is a vampire.
The crossbreed child to be born is cause of concern even before her birth: the werewolves feel the child could be a threat to them (putting Jacob , and even the vampires aren’t really at ease…
During childbirth Bella loses so much blood that she is on the verge of death. But Edward must fulfill his promise to make his wife Bella into a vampire in order to save her.
Will Edward and Bella be able to save their daughter?”
As long as Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are repuising their roles as Edward, Bella and Jacob, it’s all fine!
:)
Scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg knows that adapting Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Breaking Dawn into a movie is a real challenge:
“Twilight Breaking Dawn is the big one, it’s gonna be a big challenge, and I guarantee you that not all of the fans will be happy, and I guarantee you some of them will be.You have to give up the ideal of making everybody happy, it’s just not gonna happen, but you hope you make the majority happy. Again, for that last book it is about taking that specific character Bella on her journey. It’s a big journey, it’s a massive change for her, and you hope to realize that.”
Scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg
Well I think she’s up to the task, she did well so far, and Stephenie Meyer is probably helping her, so no worry! The Twilight Breaking Dawn movies – pretty sure there will two – will be awesome!
:)
Kristen Stewart, who plays the role of Bella in the Twilight Saga movie franchise, has been talking about Twilight Breaking Dawn, and she said she’d rather do two Breaking Dawn movies:
“I am down. I wanna do it. The story absolutely warrants two films. It would be a six-month shoot if we made two movies back-to-back, compared to a three-month shoot. It would be much more satisfying to do two films, because we wouldn’t have to drop so much of the story; it wouldn’t be like, ‘Well, we didn’t get to do this scene, this scene or this scene.’ You’d get less of that — which would be good.”
Actress Kristen Stewart
If Kristen Stewart doesn’t shy talking about her preference, I guess it means Summit and Stephenie Meyer have already decided: pretty sure that Twilight Breaking Dawn will be split into two movies.
But then I wonder if we’d have to wait one more year to get to see Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2…
:?
Producer Wyck Godfrey told the LA Times that filming of Twilight Breaking Dawn would start this fall 2010. So the first part of Breaking Dawn will most likely be released in Summer 2011.
He also talked about Renesmee, the baby daughter of Bella and Edward:
“I keep having visions of ‘Benjamin Button’ in my head. It’s certainly going to be visual effects in some capacity along with an actor. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a full CG creation, but it also may be a human shot on a soundstage that then is used to shrink down. I don’t know. We need a director. When we get a director, that director will need to come with a point of view of how they want to tackle it.”
Producer Wyck Godfrey
I definitely want to watch the behind-the-scenes of twilight Breaking Dawn later on!
:)
~Kir$ie~, a really passionate twilight fan, left a very long comment on a post about Twilight Breaking Dawn. It’s a bit long for the comment section, but we guess that quite a few Twilight fans would like to discuss wiht her about it. So here’s how she’d like Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment of the Twilight saga to be done: Continue reading »
If you’re still wondering the answer if yes: there will be a Breaking Dawn movie based on the fourth book of the Twilight saga written by Stephenie Meyer. Summit Entertainment was smart enough to lock in the rights for all the Twilight sequels and the actors have signed on for all the movies. If everything goes as smoothly as planned with the production of New Moon and Eclipse, then the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn movie should be released in 2011.
Plot – Synopsis:
Obviously Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will be back for the movie Twilight Break Dawn
Unfortunately, “as usual” with Summit Entertainment, it is hard to guess who could be the director of Twilight 4 Breaking Dawn. No need to worry though, because no matter what, we all know that Stephenie Meyer will act as the ultimate guardian of her masterpiece. And if need be, fans are here to help to keep things on track.
Below a video of Stephenie Meyer talking about the Breaking Dawn novel:
There are so many details and subplots in Breaking Dawn, that unfortunately a movie could not cover them all. So aside from the main plot, what do you think is absolutely necessary in the Twilight movie Breaking Dawn for it to be considered as faithful to the original source material?
