THE LOSERS
You don’t give them orders,
you just turn them loose.
Their name is a misnomer: those losers are actually elite soldiers!

A few concept arts of Green Lantern, the upcoming live-action movie directed by Martin Campbell and starring Ryan Reynolds, have found their way online:
Ryan Reynolds got the lead role as the Green Lantern.

The Sun reignited the rumor that the movie Sex and the City 3 is filmed back to back to SATC 2 because the studios prefer to hurry before the girls get too old. Well, a representative of Newline Cinema said it ain’t so… And actually Sex and the City 3 hasn’t even been officially greenlit yet.
But I’m pretty sure that the studios are already thinking about it. And there’s no doubt that the age issue has been raised. They have a great franchise that fans love, but the main actresses are reaching a certain age, and one could not seriously blame the studios for worrying about it…
The Golden Girls TV show was a hit, but I doubt that a Sex and the City 3 movie done in 10 years from now would get the same success. So, they’d better hurry to produce and release Sex and the City 3 before the girls transform into Golden Girls of the 21st century!

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige talked about the Avengers movie:
If Hulk does show up, Edward Norton is likely to reprise his role.

There is some confusion right now about what movie Kevin Greutert is going to helm. Paramount announced that Kevin Greutert would direct Paranormal Activity 2. But looks like Lionsgate isn’t much happy with this and they have decided to exercise an option from Kevin Greutert’s previous contract: the director would have to give one more year to Lionsgate to direct Saw 7, which means that David Hackl would have to work on something else… And for sure Kevin Greutert isn’t much happy with Lionsgate exercising the option, and he’s been even voicing his anger on his personal blog:
The movie industry is a real business, so can’t blame Lionsgate for trying to protect the Saw franchise…
What a PR mess!

Letters to God is an upcoming Christian drama movie about a letter carrier who befriend the 9-year-old Tyler Doherty who’s suffering from cancer and who’s trying to send prayer letters to God. It’s a really moving story that we make lot of people cry for sure!
Here below a few pictures of Letters to God:
Actor Shia Labeouf got a lead role in Wall Street Money Never Sleeps, aka Wall Street 2, the upcoming movie sequel to Oliver Stone’s Wall Street. I’ve been wondering if Shia Labeouf has any real smattering of the art of investment. Well if what he told to USA Today is true, I’d say Shia Labeouf do have some impressive trading skills (or was it luck?):
So Shia Labeouf’s initial investment has been multiplied by 14. Let’s assume that he met Director Oliver Stone 5 years ago (but it’s probably less), this would imply an average rate of return of 172% per year! If Shia Labeouf could keep such a profitability I’d suggest him to quit acting and become a full-time trader. But I now think that he just told some BS to USA Today, or that the journalist misunderstood the final amount (but then even if it’s actually $29,700 that would mean a return rate of 8% per year which would still be a feat)… I’d rather suggest Shia Labeouf to do more research and also to take some new math courses… Or maybe he’s training to play the role of Maddof?
Anyway, here some new pictures of Wall Street 2:
Get him to the Greek is an upcoming comedy movie spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The movie is focusing on the out-of-control British rock star Aldous Snow (Rusell Brand), and Aaron (Jonah Hill), a music-company intern who must accompany Snow to a concert at LA’s Greek Theater. Get him to the Greek, directed by Nick Stoller, will be released on June 11, 2010.
Here’s a first look at Jonah Hill and Russell Brand in the movie Get him to the Greek:
Russell Brand was awesome in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And judging from the pictures above I’m confident he will deliver the same kind of crazy performance in Get him to the Greek!

The Experiment is an upcoming psychological thriller movie directed by Paul Scheuring and starring Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Travis Fimmel, Cam Gigandet, Clifton Collins Jr., and Maggie Grace. It’s a remake of the German movie ‘Das Experiment’. Columbia Pictures will release the Experiment movie sometime in 2010.
Here’s a first look at Adrien Brody in the Experiment:
Forest Whitaker is a versatile actor, I can definitely imagine Adrien Brody in such a film, and Cam Gigandet did prove that he can play a freak in Pandorum, so the Experiment should be a remake worth watching!

Thanks to an artwork displayed on Disney’s official site we may have a first look at Cars 2 aka Cars 2 World Grand Prix, the upcoming movie sequel to Disney Pixar’s Cars:
Mount Fuji in the background of the picture and Japanese characters on the roadside banner indicate that this scene of Cars 2 takes place in Japan. And the Formula One next to Lightning McQueen kind of look like a Toyota F1 car:
Escape From Planet Earth is an upcoming CGI animated comedy movie developed by Vancouver-based Rainmakers Animation. The story revolves around a group of aliens who try to break from Area 51 where they’ve been secretly detained by the US government. The film will be released sometime in 2010.

Here’s a first look at the movie Escape from Planet Earth:
Judging from the pictures above, the CGI in Escape from Planet Earth isn’t exactly state-of-the-art CGI. But the plot sounds interesting. I wonder how the film is going to turn out. A movie trailer of Escape from Planet Earth should show up soon, so we’ll have a better idea by then!

Scriptwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are working on the script of Star Trek 2, and of course they keep the plot secret and aren’t telling much. the But it won’t hinder Star Trek fans from asking for plot details of Star Trek 2. Lucky us, they did give a few – vague – details during a recent Star Trek Q&A:
Those two scriptwriters really want to drive the Trekkies crazy! Come on, can’t they give better hints at who’s gonna be the villain in Star trek 2?
Hmm, actually I think they did give away something: they’re kind of saying that it can’t be Khan because it would be a remake, so keeping in mind that the Klingons were introduced in a deleted scene (available on the Blu-Ray of the first film, you may watch it –>here), I’d say that the next villain will most probably be the Klingons!
:)
Director Marcus Nispel finally found an actor to play as Conan in his upcoming take on the Cimmerian barbarian: Jason Momoa has indeed been hired for the job! Here’s a picture of Jason Momoa:
Screenwriter Thomas Lennon, echoing director Shawn Levy, hinted at Night at the Museum 3 movie:
What new museum could possibly welcome Ben Stiller and his friends in the movie Night at the Museum 3? Maybe a European Museum?

Director Joseph Kosinski who’s helming Tron Legacy aka Tron 2 talked to MTV about the upcoming sequel to Tron:
Damn impatient to watch the movie Tron legacy!
