Stargate Atlantis Enemy At the Gate
Thanks to IO9 We have an official description of Enemy at the gate, the final episode of Stargate Atlantis Season 5:
Stargate Atlantis Episode Guide
Todd contacts Atlantis and reveals that a Wraith subordinate has managed to acquire several Zero Point Modules that he has used to power a formidable new hive ship. He urges Woolsey to attack and destroy before it becomes a threat to Atlantis.
On board the Daedalus, Colonel Caldwell, Colonel Sheppard and the rest of the team, rush to engage the new hive ship. But the Z.P.M. powered vessel proves itself an impressive opponent, crippling the Daedalus before making a sudden and inexplicable jump into hyperspace.
Puzzled over the Wraith’s sudden departure, the team picks up a weak subspace signal in Wraith code. McKay is quick to recognize that the communique was sent, through subspace, from another reality. Once deciphered, their worst fears are realized. The Wraith message contains a familiar set of coordinates. The hive ship is on its way to Earth!
And here what was said about this final Stargate Atlantis episode in the past:
I really hope it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger: I’d be pissed off if I had to wait the future Stargate Atlantis movie…
;-P
Terminator 5 – Terminator Salvation Sequel
Hollywood does not wait anymore for a movie to be released before planing a sequel: and that’s the case for Terminator Salvation directed by McG and starring Christian Bale.
Indeed, a sequel of Terminator Salvation is already decided following the positive early buzz around Terminator 4.
Director McG should be back for Terminator 5 and Christian bale should reprise his role as John Connor. Bale actually signed for a potential Terminator trilogy from the start.
Terminator 5 is tentatively set for a release in 2011. I wonder then when would the Terminator 6 movie would then be released: they should try to film both Terminator 5 and Terminator 6 to reduce costs and like we would have both movies released the same year, would be so great.
Anyway, knowing that there will be a Terminator 5 movie makes my day!

The Informant Movie with Matt Damon
Director Steven Soderbergh is filming The Informant, an upcoming dark comedy thriller film, , which is based on the 2000 nonfiction book of the same name written by Kurt Eichenwald, a former journalist for the New York Times. The Informant movie is starring Matt Damon, Scott Bakula, and Joel McHale. It is set for a release in September 2009.
The Informant Movie directed by Steven Soderbergh
Here below a first look at Matt Damon as Mark Whitacre in the movie The Informant:
The trailer of the Informant:
THE INFORMANT
Plot:
“What was Mark Whitacre thinking? A rising star at agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Whitacre suddenly turns whistleblower. Even as he exposes his company’s multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI, Whitacre envisions himself being hailed as a hero of the common man and handed a promotion. But before all that can happen, the FBI needs evidence, so Whitacre eagerly agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase, imagining himself as a kind of de facto secret agent.
Unfortunately for the FBI, their lead witness hasn’t been quite so forthcoming about helping himself to the corporate coffers. Whitacre’s ever-changing account frustrates the agents and threatens the case against ADM as it becomes almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of Whitacre’s rambling imagination. Based on the true story of the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower in U.S. history.” (Source: Coming Soon)
Whitacre the whistleblower was suffering of bipolar disorder. Maybe because of this, while helping the FBI to nab the white-collar criminals, he also defrauded $9 million from his own company at the same time! The guy is incredible!
But maybe not as much incredible as Bernard Madoff, the former head of NASDAQ, and his giant Ponzi scheme though: I bet that Hollywood will buy the movie rights of his story! Hope he will go rot in prison with a roommate like T-Bag from Prison Break for what he did!
Back to The Informant: Matt Damon has a damned nice mustache! But I still prefer the mustache of George Clooney in The Men Who Stare At Goats.

Final Destination Death Trip 3D Movie Pictures
Two official pictures of Final Destination Death Trip 3D, aka Final Destination 4, have been released:
(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
Final Destination 4 isn’t the first movie to jump on the bandwagon of 3D, not even the first horror to do so (check My Bloody Valentine 3D). But the Final Destination has an important following, so it will really mark the advent of 3D in the horror movie genre.

Sherlock Holmes Movie Official Pictures
Director Guy Ritchie is working on a new movie adaptation Sherlock Holmes, the fictional detective created more than a century ago by Arthur Conan Doyle. Guy Ritchie wants to bring Sherlock Holmes back in his heyday, when the fictional detective was epitomizing adventure and a sense of danger: Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, interpreted by Robert Downey Jr., is literally kick-ass. Just check those two official pictures (via FirstShowing) of the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie:

Sherlock Holmes is not only a great detective but he his also a marvelous martial-arts expert. And this take on Sherlock Holmes is actually respecting the orignal source material. Indeed, it is Arthur Conan Doyle who described Sherlock Holmes as an expert in Bartitsu, an eclectic martial art and self-defense method originally developed in England during the years 1898-1902. Take a look to this montage of Bartitsu self defence techniques:
Bartitsu looks rather kitsch nowadays… But I suppose that Robert Downey Jr. will surprise us a usual in his role as Sherlock Holmes.

Joe Johnston's Wolfman movie Pushed Back To November 2009
Director Joe Johnston’s Wolfman movie which is starring Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins is pushed back from April 3 to November 6, 2009.
That’s probably to get more time for post-production.

Transformers 2 Movie Trailer In February 2009
If you were hoping for a movie trailer of Transformers 2 before the end of this year, then you will be as disappointed as I am right now: Director Michael Bay announced through his official site (here) that the trailer of Transformers 2, aka Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, will be released only in February 2009, and if lucky during the Superbowl 2009:
I’m stuck in the edit room up to my eye balls – also finished producing Friday the 13th and The Unborn – coming out the after the new year. Our Trailer for Transformer you have been asking about – First there will be a teaser poster soon after the new year, and the teaser trailer will be out either in the theaters early February or on the Superbowl. Cannot decide yet. I’m going to release some set stills on this site in a few weeks. I’ll keep you informed. Going back to do more selects now from my portable avid that I take home from work. It’s late, see you.”
If only Shia Labeouf didn’t have this stupid accident filming would have been wrapped earlier and a Transformer 2 trailer would have been released in due time… But well, if they’re going to air the trailer during the Superbowl 2009 then sign me up! I even think I’m becoming more attached to the Superbowl and its commercials than to Christmas… Hey, God will understand, I’m sure he’s a geek too for tweaking with DNA in the first place!
Update: It’s been confirmed that the trailer will air during the Super Bowl: Transformers 2 Superbowl

The Proposal Movie Trailer
The Proposal is an upcoming romantic comedy movie directed by Anne Fletcher. It is starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. It should be released on June 12, 2009.
THE PROPOSAL
This is Andrew
He is very late
Margaret is Andrew’s boss
Margaret has a problem
Andrew is the solution
This Summer
Plot:
“Sandra Bullock stars as a book editor, who forces her assistant Ryan Reynolds to marry her in order to avoid being deported to Canada. When the government investigates, she and her assistant are forced to spend the weekend with his parents in order to sell the lie.” (Source: Wikipedia)
Two likable actors in a nice combination of comedy and romance: The Proposal sounds good! It will be a nice Summer 2009 movie.
One thing though: could daily-life dominatrices be trendy in Hollywood? The movie New In Town is also about a woman of power who falls in love with a ‘lower-class’ man!
No need to threat me to make a proposal to Sandra Bullock! First, would just have to convince my wife that bigamy isn’t a big deal… Er, finally, sorry Sandra Bullock, my wife would never accept it,.. So sad, but really can’t make the proposal…
;-P
The Other Man Movie with Antonio Banderas and Liam Neeson
The Other Man is an upcoming drama movie directed by Richard Eyre based on a short story by German writer Bernhard Schlink. The plot of The Other Man revolves around a cuckold who tries to understand why and with who his wife deceived him. The film is starring Liam Neeson, Antonio Banderas, and Laura Linney, respectively as the husband, the other man, and the unfaithful wife. There is no official release date yet for the Other Man.
Here below a teaser clip of The Other Man that leaked online a few days ago:
The Other Man
Plot;
“Peter (Liam Neeson), the CEO of a computer software company, has been married to Lisa (Laura Linney), a successful shoe designer, for well over 20 years. Her work means frequent travel, but their marriage seems happy, and they have a grown up daughter, Abigail (Romola Garai). Missing his wife, Peter discovers that she has been receiving emails and messages from a man he never knew existed.
Against Abigail’s advice, feeling betrayed and vengeful, Peter flies to Milan to find out the truth about the mysterious other man, Ralph (Antonio Banderas). As Peter begins to unravel his wife’s secret, the focus shifts to a suspenseful cat and mouse relationship between the two men.” (Source: BFI)
The reviews of The Other man are rather negative so far: Antonio Banderas is said to play his part well, but the early buzz isn’t great concerning Liam Neeson in the role of the cuckold and Laura Linney as his deceitful wife…
I would not have thought of Liam Neeson in such a role indeed: he looks like a man of action not like a jealous and bitter husband… If you want to enjoy a movie with Liam Neeson I’d rather recommend the movie Taken!
