Filming of Harry Potter 7, aka Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, is already under works. And thanks to Snitch Seeker (here) here a first glimpse of Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter on the movie set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I:

The story of the last Harry Potter book has been split into two parts for the movie adaptation. So this Harry Potter 7 movie isn’t the end yet fortunately!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I will be released on November 19, 2010, and Part II in Summer 2011.

Mark Strong is playing the role of Lord Blackwood in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes movie. Lord Blackwood is the villain of the film. He engages in a battle of wit with Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.).
The picture above (which you may enlarge by clicking on it) is a first glimpse of Mark Strong as Lord Blackwood.
Actor Mark Strong may have talked too much in an interview given to Total Film: he revealed indeed the movie’s ending! Here it is:
He needed to have an element of showmanship about him by virtue of the fact that he’s trying to persuade everyone around him that he’s so in league with the Devil that he’s able to conquer death. I just wanted to make him an equal adversary of Sherlock Holmes.”
What Strong is describing sounds quite close to the final fight between Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes with both being being swept into waterfalls. But still, it just makes more impatient to see the whole thing: what he gave away is no spoiler! I’d rather say that it’s a teaser instead!
Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. Watson (Jude Law) are ready to confront Lord Blackwood (Mark Strong):

The movie Sherlock Holmes will be released on Christmas 2009.

I may have compared the upcoming DB Evolution movie to Smallville, even talking about a “smallvillesque” that would have cursed the movie from the start… Well that was not fair for Smallville: I should compare this Dragonball movie to the Power Rangers too!
Just check those disappointing preview clips of Dragonball the movie:
Let’s try to be positive though: I’m definitely a fan of Eriko Tamura who plays teh role of Mai ( who is a chief enforcer of Piccolo’s and a shapeshifter) from now on! Can’t believe I didn’t notice that she is so gorgeous till now!
Here a promotional picture featuring Mai and Piccolo (who went green at long last):
(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)

I’m fan of Eriko Tamura but even her can’t save this soulless adaptation of the manga Dragonball! So it’s a relief that the movie won’t be much longer than 80 minutes.
:-P
Jake Gyllenhaal got the lead role as Prince Dastan in the movie Prince of Persia The Sands of Time an upcoming cinema adaptation of the videogame of the same name created by Jordan Mechner. Here below, thanks to the Huffington Post (here), two new pics of Jake Gyllenhaal in the Prince of Persia:

There is no denying that Jake Gyllenhaal has really changed since his role in Donnie Darko: he’s become a really handsome man, that most girls would dream to hang out with I’m sure. Being bald I have more empathy with characters like Dr. Manhattan, but I bet that the hairy jake Gyllenhaal will amaze us with his interpretation of Prince Dastan.
The movie Prince of Persia, directed by Mike Newell, is expected to be released end of May 2010.

Knowing is the latest movie from Director Alex Proyas. It is starring Nicolas cage in the lead role. Here below a new series of Knowing movie posters:

The story of Knowing revolves around a teacher (Nicolas Cage) who tries to save the world from a disaster described in encoded predictions which were hidden in a time capsule for years.

During the last WonderCon J.J. Abrams was asked about his intention regarding a possible movie sequel to Cloverfield. And to the fans’ pleasure he did confirm that he’s definitely working on something:
We have an idea that we thought was pretty cool that we’re playing with, which means there will be something that’s connected to Cloverfield, but I hope it happens sooner than later because the idea is pretty sweet.”
Any idea about what Cloverfield II should look like? Got any suggestion for Producer J.J. Abrams and Director Matt Reeves?

Terminator Salvation is the working title of the fourth Terminator movie, directed by McG and starring Christian Bale in the lead role as John Connor and Sma Worthington as a cyborg who strongly believes to be human. Here below a triptic poster of Terminator 4:
From left to right: Christian Bale as John Connor, Terminator robot, Sam Worthington as Marcus WrightIf Skynet (the evil network aiming at annihilating mankind) was to become real nowadays, it wouldn’t be based on military installations, it would rather rise from the civilian cloud that’s currently building up. And rather than Skynet, we would probably call it Google AI…
;-P
A full-length trailer of UP, the new PIXAR movie for 2009, has been released:
This Summer, the adventure of a lifetime will be finding their way home!

Charles Muntz is an adventurer that Carl and his wife admired as children, but looks like the adventurer is that much friendly in his very old age…
The voice of Charles Muntz is done by Christopher Plummer. Director Pete Docter compared Muntz to a mix of Charles Lindbergh and Howard Hughes.

The latest Wolverine trailer will definitely convince you that the movie will be awesome if you were not yet a believer:
Hugh Jackman had a double hat on this new Wolverine movie: he was both lead actor and producer. So, it was an ideal occasion for him to put forward his vision of Wolverine which is much closer to the comic canon than what we may have seen in the previous X-Men movies:
Acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning has officially joined the cast and will play the Volturi Jane in the Twilight Saga New Moon. The rumor was online since a long, but nice to have an official confirmation from Summit Entertainment.
In the universe of Twilight, the Volturi are like law enforcers among the Vampires: they are much respected, end even feared because of their mind control tricks
So Dakota Fanning will play the role of Jane, one of the prize members of the Volturi Guard and one of their highest ranking guards, a sadistic person and a pet of Aro a former Volturi leader. She seems rather bitter and easily justifies inflicting pain on anyone with her power. Jane has a twin brother named Alec and they both reside in Volterra, Italy.
Here below an interview of Dakota Fanning about her role as Jane (it was made just before she was confirmed for the role):
Good that they chose Dakota Fanning: I think that this young-but-well-experienced actress is a nice addition to the cast of this New Moon movie.
Here’s a first look at Dakota Fanning as Jane:

And here’s an interview of Dakota Fanning about her role as Jane in Twilight New Moon:
Johnny Depp’s career may have started with the role of a cop in 21 Jump Street, but it seems that ditch this early character for more villainous roles afterward: being a pirate in POTC, a serial killer in Sweeney Todd. He confirms his interest for dark characters in Public Enemies in which he plays the role of John Dillinger the gangster from the 1930s. Here below the first official trailer of Public Enemies:
Christian Bale on the other hand sticks to to the lawful side with roles like Batman, John Connor in Terminator, and FBI Agent Purvis in Public Enemies.
That’s probably why Johnny Depp is way better than Christian Bale!
:)
Director George Miller is considering to develop Mad Max 4 as an animated movie. Such a move would increase the odds of a fourth Mad Max movie to come out. Miller has been facing so many hurdles since his first attempt to produce Mad Max 4 in 2003: financial hurdle, Mel Gibson stating that he wouldn’t reprise his role and so on… So going animated would be a way out for Miller: an animated movie costs indeed less to produce and Miller could get rid of Mel Gibson, a former great actor who had the lead role in Mad Max but who since turned into a religious zealot.
The universe of Mad Max is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which oil has become so scarce that people are ready to kill for it and in which civilization has collapsed, giving a free reign to barbarous gangs of road punks. Just watch this original trailer of the movie Mad Max:
Miller is likely to call Japanese talents to help to develop Mad Max 4:
Quite glad that Mad Max is going to integrate a manga dimension. Much better perspective than a Mad Max 4 movie with an old Mel Gibson!

The upcoming movie Harry Potter 6 will unveil the origins of Lord Voldemort, we will learn how he fell for the dark side. The flashback will be introduced to Harry potter thanks to Dumbledore’s memory capsules. Here below the latest trailer of Harry Potter and the half Blood Prince:
Harry Potter Half Blood Prince Movie Trailer
The production team behind Harry Potter does not mind some nepotism: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin who plays the role of Tom Riddle, the child who becomes Lord Voldemort, is actually the 10-year-old nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who played the adult Voldemort in previous Harry Potter movies.
