Do you remember Judge Dredd, the sci-fi movie set in a dystopian future starring Sylvester Stallone as a super super cop with instant field judiciary powers? Well that movie is gonna have a reboot or maybe it will have a sequel. It’s been announced (here) on the official forum of 2000 AD, the weekly British science fiction-oriented who was behind the original Judge Dredd comics:
Together with DNA Films, the movie production company behind such great sci-fi movies such as Sunshine and 28 Weeks Later, Judge Dredd will go into production in 2009.
Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director said, ‘We can’t give away too many details at this point, but we’re looking forward to working with DNA Films to bring Judge Dredd back to the big screen.’
We’ll keep you up to date with breaking news as it happens!”
If the movie goes in production in the second half of 2009 (I doubt it would start before), considering that post-production would require a lot of CGI I guess, we may expect this new Judge Dredd movie to be released in 2011 and if lucky end of 2010.
Let’s remember the original Judge Dredd movie with this theatrical trailer:
Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone) was the law:
Don’t know yet what is ahead, reboot Judge Dredd remake or Judge Dredd sequel (or even a prequel?) but I bet they will somewhat update this damn kitsch outfit Stallone was wearing:
All that’s quite sure is that Sylvester Stallone will not have the lead role: he’s definitely too old for the character by now (besides he’s busy with Rambo 5).
The original Judge Dredd movie was already cheesy even in 1995 but this news makes my day: I did like the movie at the time!

Take a look to those pictures of Beyonce and Ali Larter in the movie Obsessed:

Choosing between Beyonce and Ali Larter is really difficult!
The lucky man on the pictures is Idris Elba. Yeap he’s got the lead role, but who cares? Actually most people will go watch Obsessed for the two girls, not for the boy.
I’d like to see a movie poster of Obsessed featuring Ali Larter vs. Beyonce!
:)
The movie isn’t exactly titled New Ulm, it’s actually New in Town… But even if filming was done in Canada, the story does take place in New Ulm, Minnesota. So let’s rather call it the New Ulm movie.
Take a look to this New in Town clip, er, I mean New Ulm movie clip:
The story of New in Town is about a corporate dominatrix who get tamed when she moves from Miami to the country town of New Ulm… Well, the scene above is cute, isn’t it?
By the way, this innocent movie could unwillingly spark a controversy: –> ill-chosen words in the movie New Town
Will the production company change the scene? Or will they ignore the event?
:-/
Bruce Willis is back in a science-fiction movie: he’s got the lead role in The Surrogates, an upcoming sci-fi movie directed by Jonathan Mostow. The film is based on the 2005-2006 comic book series of the same name written by Robert Venditt and illustrated by Brett Weldele. The Surrogates is scheduled for a release in September 2009.
We have may have a first look at Bruce Willis in the Surrogates movie:
(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)

Plot:
“In the near future, humans live in isolation and only interact through remote-controlled artificial bodies that serve as surrogates. When several surrogates are murdered, a cop (Bruce Willis) investigates the crimes through his own surrogate. The investigation forces the cop to bring his human form out of isolation and unravel a conspiracy behind the crimes” (Source: Wikipedia)
They aren’t that many interesting movie released in September in general. So The Surrogates movie is really welcome! It will bridge the gap between Summer 2009 movies and end of year blockbusters.
With the current R&D in robotics and AI such a future isn’t so farfetched… But for mankind’s sake better for us not to not use such Surrogates!

The first official teaser trailer of Night at the Museum 2, aka Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian, has been released:
In the world’s biggest museum something huge is about to go down!
When everything comes to life there’s one man for the job:
Ben Stiller
Ben Stiller seems to really enjoy his role in Nthe Night at the Museum movies series. Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian looks like a fun movie, and I’m glad that the Smithsonian is getting a moment of glory in our theaters. The Smithsonian is probably my favorite museum.
I also hope that the movie Night at the Museum 2, aka Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonian, will spur again interest in History among our youth.
:)
In the season 5 of Lost Jack and Ben have managed to put aside their reciprocal hostility in order to get back to the island. Here below a new clip of Lost Season 5:
Gathering all of the Oceanic Six to go back to the Isaland won’t be that easy! Lost Season 5 will drive you even more crazy than the previous seasons!

Well, actually the words on those posters of Coraline are a bit too advanced for a kid learning letters. But I like them anyway! Most are worth a look, like the letter z for example:
Z is for Zanzibar: where chocolate beetles come from surprisingly tasty, if you can catch one.
Coraline is a character who will catch the attention of both kids and grown-ups!
:)
UP, The next Pixar movie is about an old grumpy widow and a young boy: the two are unwillingly brought to a world of adventures when the little house in the picture above is lift in the air by balloons:
We’ve got our hands on two new Underworld 3 movie character posters:

In case you don’t know the synopsis of Underworld 3, aka Underworld Rise of the Lycans, here’s the plot:
I hope to see her starring even more often in fantasy and sci-fi movies, like in Doomsday for example: Rhona Mitra rocks like hell!.
:)
A preview clip of Nothing But The Truth has been released. The scene features Kate Beckinsale and David Schwimmer:
I quite agree that David Schwimmer is not the most fashionable actor… But the guy isn’t that much handsome either, so anyway, can’t put the blame on him for this.
To tell nothing but the truth I’m not fashionable either with my wig! Joking, i don’t have use of a wig: I’m proud to be utterly bald!
;-P
If you are a fan of the Saw movie series then rest assured that the tradition will be respected on Halloween 2009: Saw VI will give you a bloody day. Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) will still be there to tease the livings and Mark Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) will be back too.
But his time, the director isn’t David Hackl. The job is taken over by Kevin Greutert who was the former movie editor on all of the Saw movies: so he isn’t a newbie, and knows damn well the universe of Saw. So Saw 6 is in good hands.
More about Saw VI at: Saw 6 Trailer
No detail about the plot has filtered yet but as long as they keep going with the famous traps, it should be fine! But maybe you have a recommendation for new Director Kevin Greutert about Saw VI?
Update: Here’s a first official preview clip of Saw VI!
Beyonce Knowles and Ali Larter (from Heroes) are two beautiful women: any man would be happy to get intimate with one, so imagine if both were competing like they do for Idris Elba in the upcoming thriller drama movie Obsessed.
Take a look to this Obsessed movie trailer:
An office flirtation, an innocent temptation: two different perceptions…
What you hide makes you innocent, what you reveal makes you guilty.
And the truth lies somewhere in between.
This Spring,
Where fact becomes fantasy, where reality ends: obsession begins
Plot:
“Derek Charles (Idris Elba), a successful asset manager who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to the beautiful Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles). But when Lisa (Ali Larter), a temp worker, starts stalking Derek, all the things he’s worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy.”
Judging from this trailer of Obsessed the movie seems to end in a marvelous girl fight! Hey, I am but a weak man, so I will definitely go watch Beyonce and Ali larter in the movie Obsessed!
:)
A poster of Race to Witch Mountain, the upcoming science-fiction remake movie starring Dwayne johnson aka the Rock as a taxi driver turned nanny for teenage human-like aliens:

The race is on!
Kids are really lucky to get such sci-fi movies so often! Race To Witch Mountain does look quite good. And even if I’m not in the first target public of this Walt Disney movie you can be sure that I will eagerly go watch it in my local theater!
:)
Hollywood production companies are definitely optimistic concerning its blockbuster, and one more Transformers sequel has been decided even before the second film is released.
We don’t have a direct confirmation for Transformers 3, but according to Dark Horizons, the sequel to Transformers Revenge of The fallen should be released in June 2011, which sounds credible:
