Roland Emmerich is working on a new movie titled 2012, based on a Mayan belief that the world will end in 2012. The movie 2012 has an ensemble cast, including John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. It should be released in July 2009 November 2009 (the movie has been pushed back indeed).
The first official teaser trailer of the movie 2012, upcoming movie directed by Roland Emmerich, has been released.

They wouldn’t…
2012
The Plot:
“With the Mayan calendar ending in 2012, a large group of people must deal with natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, typhoons and glaciers.” (Source: IMDb)
Director Roland Emmerich tells more about his source of inpiration for the movie 2012:
Judging from the teaser trailer of 2012 it seems to be a new version of The Day After Tomorrow, so nothing really new… But I’m still thrilled by 2012.
I hope we will have a full length 2012 movie trailer soon!
Update: we now have the full trailer of 2012:

The official release of Twilight, the movie adpated from Stephenie Meyer’s book, is nearing, so the promotion of the movie is kicking into high gear. Some preview clips of twilight are now released in high quality:
Fans have not seen Twilight yet but are already craving for New Moon! Will Summit Entertainment be able to keep the Twilight flame alive till the sequel though?

Burn-E, the new Pixar short film will be available on the WALL-E DVD coming out November 18. But it seems time is no constraint for some Disney Pixar fans: Burn-E has already leaked online even before the official release of the DVD!

A picture of the USS Enterprise from the upcoming Star Trek movie directed by J.J Abrams has been unveiled by Paramount via EW Pop Watch (here):

J.J. Abrams’ USS Enterprise is rather close to the original one. He made indeed great deal of respecting the source material:
Such good news can but engage one’s warp drive!

A lucky boy caught a scene of Transformers 2 on his camera back in June when the production team was filming near the University of Pennsylvania. All from his window!
Have a look to this clip of Transformers 2 showing Bumblebee in its alt mode as a 2010 Camaro SS:
I doubt that Shia Labeouf is able to drift like the chaps in Fast and Furious… More probably a stuntman!

Director David Goyer is set to work on a Magneto movie. No release date yet though, as the movie has not even kicked in production. But the screenplay has already been drafted by Scriptwriter Sheldon Turner. That’s why we may nonetheless have an official synopsis of this Magneto movie:
Unfortunately the movie Magneto is in stand by for now because Fox can’t devote resources to a new project until Wolverine is out. Too bad Marvel can’t take back the rights of the Magneto movie! But if Fox keep postponing it, Marvel will get it back around 2012 (would be sad to have to wait so long though…).
Let’s hope there will be some crossover between the upcoming Wolverine movie and Magneto. I pray for Fox to learn from Marvel’s success!

It just confirms the date for the premiere of Lost Season 5 announced in the trailer aired during the last election-night coverage. In case you missed this new Lost Season 5 trailer:
In 2009 we will have 17 episodes of Lost Season 5 with the strangest plot ever seen on TV.

A second movie trailer of Up has been released by Disney Pixar. Up is an upcoming animated movie by Pixar which for once will mostly focus on real humans, namely Carl Fredricksen, an old widow, and Carl, a young chubby boy.
You may watch below the Pixar up movie trailer:
I don’t really like to see a fatty boy described as a hero in the movie… Hey, our youth needs real models! Being overweight like Carl at such a young age can but have a terrific impact on health later… Too often parents let kids eat what they want. So if movies are showing fatty heroes by now, where are we going?!
Anyway, I bet the Diney Pixar magic will be as efficient as usual, and that most people will appreciate Up, the latest Pixar movie, in 2009.
:/
If you buy the upcoming DVD of Wall-E you’ll be able to watch a new Pixar hort film entitled Burn-E, wich follows the adventures of a welder robot who is fitly named Burn-E. Burn-E was locked out of the spaceship when Wall-E rushed in, and is striving to get in again.
If you forgot the scene I suggest to watch it again: –> Burn-E
And, thanks to the Pixar Blog, we have some better screen captures of Burn-E:

I think Burn-E will be as amazing as the movie Wall-E itself. Maybe I will buy the DVD, well, unless Pixar Burn-E leaked online before… Joking, better of course to show some support to Disney Pixar and buy a real Wall-E DVD.
Update as of November 12, 2008: Burn-E has just leaked –> Watch Burn-E Online

A new international poster of the Day The Earth Stood Still, upcoming sci-fi movie starring Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, an alien coming to Earth to bring an imperious message to Mankind:

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL
In the original 1950s movie Klaatu was more interested in the fate of Mankind than in the fate of Earth’s environment itself. But the plot has been twisted with issues of our time, namely global warming and ecology in general.
