The plot of Transporter 3 will somehow remind you of Crank, even more because the lead actor is Jason Staham. But anyway, looks like Transporter 3 will deliver a shitload of action! And I’m already in love with the feminine counterpart of Statham in the movie.

Director Guy Ritchie, the one who is getting divorced from Madonna, is working a new movie adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, the fmous novel series written a century ago by Arthur Conan Doyle.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law have cast for the lead roles. But the roles have assigned with disregard of the actors’ physiognomies: Downey is Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law is Dr. Watson. Had they followed the usual representation of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson the roles would have been reversed. The slim Jude Law looks more like the mythic Sherlock Holmes.
But I’m sure Robert Downey Jr. will surprise us anyway!
;-P
Director Gabriele Muccino and Will Smith are hell of a team. Hope those two will work again together in the future. Movies like The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds are so intense!

Make place in your December agenda for The Day The Earth Stood Still, the upcoming remake of the cult 1950 sci-fi movie of the same name! The more I see of this remake starring Scott Derrickson and starring Keanu Reeves, the more I am impatient to watch it! Here below a new 5 minute extended trailer of The Day The Earth Stood Still:
The scene with Keanu Reeves questioned with the polygraph looks like coming from the Exorcist. That’s for sure a long way from the spirit of the original 1950 Day The Earth Stood Still movie. But hey, I really don’t mind this addition! Keanu Reeves is splendid!

If you get bored of the slow pace of the Da Vinci Code movie then maybe Angels and Demons be a better match. Indeed according to producer Brian Grazer:
“Langdon doesn’t stop and give a speech. When he speaks, he’s in motion.”
Well i enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. And I’m quite impatient to see Angels and Demons because it also combines sci-fi (with anti-matter!) and religion!

Actor Brendan Fraser is a man shaped for adventures! His latest movie, Inkheart, is a fantasy movie that does fit into his movie career. Watch below Inkheart teaser trailer:
It’s a good thing that this clip of Dragonball the movie is so short and that it’s a relatively neutral footage: if it was longer it would have fueled further the controversy about this movie adaptation of the famous manga…
The buzz around this Dragonball movie is mostly negative by now. So negative that Fox has decided to make reshoots. A better idea than doing reshoots though would be to change the movie title and to take out any reference to the manga in order to avoid Dragonball fans disdain. Then it would become an entertaining fantasy kung fu movie by James Wong.

Fathom Studio wants to bring us to the magical world of Delgo, an upcoming fantasy animated movie. here below the official movie poster of Delgo featuring the eponymous hero:
This movie is along overdue: its production started in 1998! But Delgo is released only this year. It is because fathom Studio is a small-but-talented independent company.

This new cut of the Twilight trailer shows scenes different than the final US trailer of Twilight. I think more Twilight clips, besides the Ballet Scene, will be available soon. The Twilight preview clips will show if the movie is really faithful to Stephenie Meyer’s novel.

The Secret of Moonacre is an upcoming fantasy family movie adaptation of the novel The Little White Horse written by Elizabeth Goudge. The movie is directed by Hungarian-born director Gabor Csupo (who also directed Bridge to Terabithia). It is starring Dakota Blue Richards (the girl from Golden Compass), Ioan Gruffudd, Tim Curry respectively as Maria Merryweather, Sir Benjamin who is Maria’s uncle, and the villain Coeur De Noir.
The Secret of Moonacre is set to be released on February 6, 2009 in the UK. Unfortunately there is no official release date for the USA yet. But I bet a date will be announced soon: after all it does look good.
Here below the first official trailer of the Secret of Moonacre:
The Secret of Moonacre Trailer
Plot:
“When 13 year old Maria Merryweather’s father dies, leaving her orphaned and homeless, she is forced to leave her luxurious London life to go and live with Sir Benjamin, an eccentric uncle she didn’t know she had, at the mysterious Moonacre Manor. Soon Maria finds herself in a crumbling moonlit world torn apart by the hatred of an ancient feud with the dark and sinister De Noir family. Maria discovers that she is the last Moon Princess and, guided by an unlikely mix of allies, she must overcome her family’s pride in order to unearth the secrets of the past before the 5000th moon rises and Moonacre disappears into the sea forever.” (Source: Wikipedia)
Really hope it will get a wider release. I really like this kind of fantasy movie. Besides the whole family can enjoy it! The Secret of Moonacre is worth watching.
